I'm not sure why she has such hatred for tofu, it's lovely! Extra Firm. Always. Perfect for a morning scramble.

James Graham on Twitter
Don’t any of you buggers call anything political I ever write again ‘implausible’.
I worry there *is no sense, to any of it. Which will either make it a very long or a very short play…
Looks if he has given up on his state of the nation play.

Curella - ha ha. I love it. I suspect she will now spend her time to the hatred of tofu. Her speech yesterday was dreadful. A drunken rant in pub carpark springs to mind I'm not sure why she has such hatred for tofu, it's lovely! I bet you read the Guardian as well, you wokeratus!

Cruella Braverman's gone! I've truly never seen a Government in such unmitigated chaos as this. PMQ's earlier was a treat. Really? Keith had a shocker didn’t he

If we don't have a general election after tonight's events we need to be out on the streets. I'm not sure if riots are the solution. Nah talkingheads is correct. Utter shambles. Time for direct action. Terrible this lot. Although lots of rumours she’s going tomorrow.

The PM apparently has 12 hours to save her job. Given that her latest excuse for not voting is that she "forgot to swipe her ID card", I'm guessing advanced, fast thinking political machinations aren't really her thing.
The simple truth is that we cannot have another leadership election. It was bad enough getting Truss with no mandate, but any political system which would allow another leader in such a short space of time is broken. We need a General Election immediately.

You had the 'she's packing her bags now' text also? Why it has to be Johnson, he already has a political mandate having won the general election. Boris till the end of the season

Great, we get either get an incompetent or a criminal
Tories not really bringing their A game to this, are they? But then, a party that has consistently prioritised power and party over national interests can hardly be relied upon to do the 'right thing'...

The right thing for the country would of course be a general election. The problem is it’s the wrong thing for the Conservative party (as they’ll be decimated) and they are not obliged to call an election.
Truss has to go. Like, today.

One of the shortest tenures of Prime Minister over.
I'd be embarrassed to have any allegiance with the Conservative Party. Just imagine being proud to have voted for them at the last general Election to witness such a cataclysmic period.

Although I am politically aware, I wouldn't consider myself a political person and certainly wouldn't express my political opinions but even I can see what a disaster this is!

Petition to rename the thread "The 45days of government of Liz Truss"
Sounds like a bargain bucket nonfiction book you'd find in a motorway services WHSmiths.

Who will play Liz Truss in the inevitable TV drama? Olivia Colman. It’s always Olivia Colman. Her or Rylan.

‘Liz of the 45 Days’
Perfect title for a play. And you start with a meeting between 2 Liz’s, one of whom dies the next day.
You couldn’t make this stuff up!

I, for one, welcome our new lettuce overlord. Press conference later: “Hello my name is Mrs. Ssurt and I come from… some place far away. Yes, that will do. Anyway I say we re-elect that wonderful previous Prime Minister…” Jeremy Hunt: “I like how Mrs. Ssurt thinks!”

The lettuce came is now fab. It comes complete with disco lights and music. Very funny but also sad to see our country in such a terrible state.
