Now Therese Coffey has waded in with the ridiculous, not to mention highly dangerous, notion that pharmacists will be able to give out antibiotics without the patient first going to a GP. She then openly admits to breaking the law by sharing her medication with friends and family. I'm genuinely running out of expletives and exhalations of exasperation for this Government. They've gone so far below the bottom of the barrel I don't know what else they can do. They will, though. www.thetimes.co.uk/article/chemists-to-prescribe-antibiotics-under-coffey-health-plan-gjvfnb6q5Whenever I've been prescribed antibiotics, the doctor has stressed the need to complete the course and not to stop taking them when I feel better. I am not a medical expert but it seems to me that you can't just take a couple and expect them to work. Quite. She's probably crawling with half-treated bacterial infections.

You say that still, even after Liz Truss has trashed the economy? YES!! The whole government is rotten to the core in my humble opinion

Apparently there are now over 100 letters of no confidence waiting for Graham Brady this morning (what an archaic system we live under. Can't do anything until some bloke checks his post). Going to be an interesting day.

Interesting statement from Hunt. So much from the mini budget is scrapped and now Pippa Porkmarkets reputation is in even more trashed.

Too many Twitter links to post as things seem to be happening so fast, but from what I can gather it is political freefall with Truss literally clinging on hour to hour, yet refusing to resign, but more and more MPs being vocally critical.

Pity poor James Graham, every time he thinks he has the plot of his state of the nation play worked out real life becomes more ridiculous.
How can you top, I can confirm The Prime Minister is not hiding under a desk.

Said it before, but James Graham is going to have to make it a farce.
A straight drama is just not gonna cut it.

So now we're supposed to cut Thick Lizzie some slack because nobody else in the Cabinet that she appointed from her own cronies thought that anything in the disastrous mini-budget might prove problematic. That just proves that all of them are incompetent and should go, especially since Sunak and others warned of the consequences of unfunded tax cuts and fairytale economics just weeks before.

Cruella Braverman's gone! I've truly never seen a Government in such unmitigated chaos as this. PMQ's earlier was a treat.

Allegedly sharing private information from her phone, so that’s the PM’s special adviser and the Home Secretary gone, with rumours of more sackings before the day is through. Shambolic

Her resignation letter isn't exactly subtle.

Former energy minister Chris Skidmore has broken ranks and said he not vote with the three line whip in support of the fracking bill - and will probably lose the whip. I wonder if more will follow.
If a handful don’t follow the whip - or even cross the floor - Truss will be gone in a matter of days.

Curella - ha ha. I love it.
I suspect she will now spend her time to the hatred of tofu. Her speech yesterday was dreadful. A drunken rant in pub carpark springs to mind

Devastating for Truss though - her letter is essentially "I made a mistake. I resigned". Truss today at PMQ's "I made a mistake. I apologised".

If we don't have a general election after tonight's events we need to be out on the streets.

James Graham on Twitter
Don’t any of you buggers call anything political I ever write again ‘implausible’.
I worry there *is no sense, to any of it. Which will either make it a very long or a very short play…
Looks if he has given up on his state of the nation play.
