In my day we just wrote on our school shirts (which I noticed some Primary school kids had also done yesterday, when they seemed to be having an end of term bash at the local pub...which i can only applaud). We signed our polo shirts at Primary School, and were given dictionaries which we also got signed- mainly by teachers, whereas the shirts were mainly other children. Then in secondary school we signed our shirts on our last day but also had leavers' hoodies which we could wear instead of our blazers for the last half term. As one of the senior students (prefects) we had to arrange for them, but we couldn't deviate far from navy blue so managed to persuade the school to let us have a choice of light or dark blue with the customary number (08, 10 years has gone by fast) spelled out with our names on the back. I tend to refrain from wearing it outside the house unless there aren't any other jumpers at my parents as it says Manhood quite prominently on it.

As someone who likes to get programmes signed, the NT ones have always been one of my pet hates too. And along with the lack of headshots, the pages are very Sharpie-unfriendly with their black colour (for WH anyway) and lack of space between actors' bios. I've got gold and silver sharpies that will show up on anything. Bought them because I wanted my dance bags signed and they're black.

Popped back again last night with a TodayTix Rush Seat (towards the back of the Stalls). Turned out to be Press Night, so was very busy, and also I imagine why the Rush Seats were right at the back. I think there was a celebrity in one of the boxes, but I couldn't tell who (and was too far away to get a good view). I wondered why it seemed a lot harder to get hold of rush tickets yesterday than the prior few days.

How do you guys think it's best to approach the todaytix rush seats? Do they allocate them best first or is it random? Do they get more tickets throughout the day?

Well I fared a little better in the Rush Tickets this morning! Offered Row Q in Stalls and I must admit to thinking for a couple of seconds about releasing them and seeing what else I might be offered but wanting to see it outweighed the small chance of getting better seats so I went with them and very excited I am too! I think you did the right thing. It seems to have quietened down quite a bit as tickets are still available now (11.30am), but they're further back in the stalls.

So I had quite a frustrating experience trying for Rush tickets on Saturday (though I guess trying to get them for a Saturday evening performance was the first error!), but I was on dead at 10am and it went straight to "all tickets in other customers basket" or words to that effect, and for the next 45 minutes it switched between "1 ticket remaining" or "5 tickets remaining" or "6 tickets remaining" or backing the "all tickets in other customers basket" but even when it said there were however many tickets remaining, it still wouldn't let me through to book as then there was a pop up just telling me they were in other people's basket again! Has anyone else experienced this whilst trying for Rush Tickets since Thurs or has it been pretty seamless for others? That was pretty much my experience each day so far, though I haven't persisted beyond ten minutes. I'm hoping it will calm down before I plan to go in a few weeks.

Oh ok the £22 confused me, as todaytix are £25 (inc fees) The £22 was probably less the fees. I didn't really look properly, I just acknowledged the seating location and then released them.

I was offered row N stalls for £22 each. Was that in person at box office? On Todaytix

Had a look at the rush to see what tickets were being offered as it may influence my decision whether to book in advance or not.
Was very tricky to get any, but was offered K1 of the Royal Circle. Have released it back into the wild!
Anyone manage to get any?

Looking to go to this in a couple of weeks, but never been to the palladium and am a bit overwhelmed by all the info on seating choices. Anyone have any reasonably priced seating recommendations?
Legroom isn't really an issue as neither of us is particularly tall.

Interested to see who will be performing the role at the Mayflower. According to What's On Stage, he'll be in the first 10 venues, with further casting to be announced.

Ah fair enough- honestly I didn't dislike it more was just bored by it...though honestly I'm VERY crap at getting through TV series in general so if I start again it'll probably be 2050 before I catch up haha! I don't mind so much people saying how good it is (or any tv show) like you say it's because they're interested in it and want to share that joy generally I’m generally just bitter because some of the shows I love have been long running series but I just can’t find anyone else who loves them, e.g. Psych; Jane The Virgin; The Good Wife; SNL; White Collar; Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. I can’t fathom how some gory show about sexy people whose names I can’t pronounce, fighting for a fictional throne and coming back to life, beats a damned good comedy or legal drama I'm listening to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend at work right now! That twist in the finale of JTV! Pych is on my to watch list, but not sure where it's available.

Checking the dates, it actually works out for me, yay! Does anyone have suggestions for decently priced accommodation in Chichester for one night? Travelodge? I would second the Travelodge. I've not stayed in Chichester since my parents live 20 mins away, but the Travelodge is really centrally located (right opposite the Cathedral), and only a 5/10 minute walk to the Festival Theatre. There isn't a huge choice without going a bit further out of town, which may be difficult dependant on your transport arrangements.

You've never heard Leaning on a Lampost? The Sun has got his hat one? Yes but didn't know those songs were from the show. I've never seen it before which will explain my ignorance. You're not alone. We used to have a sun visor on the car window when I was little that had "The Sun Has Got His Hat On" on it, with a picture of a sun in a hat. Used to sing the song when we pulled it down, but had no idea it was an actual song rather than some sort of nursery rhyme... And I'm only familiar with "Lambeth Walk" from Davood's performance on Strictly.

I was just wondering if anyone is aware of either the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth, or the Lighthouse in Poole doing discounts/promotion either on the day of a show, or in the last few weeks running up to a show?
A friend and I are interested in seeing Brendan Cole's All Night Long in Poole, but financially it would really help her out if they were to run any offers or promotions. They've recently put the balcony up for sale, and there are loads of tickets still available.
I was also thinking of rocking up on my own to one of Anton and Erin's shows on Saturday at the Pavilion...
Just wondered if either venue had a history of running promotions on shows when there are still a lot of tickets left or on the day of a performance, I know I have had offers through from the Mayflower in Southampton in similar circumstances?

I managed to get tickets for tomorrow evening in the frenzied New Year Sale. It's my first time seeing the show- though I have wanted to for some time- so I've got nothing to compare it to other than the film (which I enjoyed). It will be a return visit for my mum, so I'll see what she says about whether she thinks it was better this time or the last.
I've been looking forward to this for a while so quite excited now! Then we're off to the Harry Potter Studio Tour on Friday for the last vestiges of Christmas at Hogwarts!

Depending on the day I might be infirm, but at 25 definitely not old, so my reasons for not standing when I saw it were a little different.
This is the probably the first time I have seen a show and felt compelled to ovate of my own accord- not taking a cue from the rest of the audience, or standing just because everyone in front of me was and I couldn't see. I was on the verge but as I was sat in the second row I felt like I might be blocking people's views by standing. No-one in the front row stood, and I didn't see what was going on behind me so I stayed seated.
Maybe I'll be a bit braver next time...

Folks who regularly see this show, does anyone know where I can get tickets that are reasonably priced for this? Currently looking for Feb 12 in the evening and, unless I pay 70-90 quid each I will have to sit right at the top of the balcony. What is the view like from up there? The very back row. I can't imagine it being much good The Today Tix app has rush seats every day at 10am if you don't need to book in advance. I used it when I went a few months ago and found it really easy. Went on the app at 10am and got the tickets straight away before travelling up to London from the South Coast. Second Row for £25 each, really good view! We also had a £10 off code, there's a thread on here full of referral codes if you end up using it (mine is BUTXA). They also sell full price tickets on there that you could get a little cheaper with the discount code. I had an email from Amazon this morning to say they were offering tickets with no fees, which should save a little. Theatremonkey has some commentary on seat locations as does seatplan. There's also the potential for tickets in the New Year Sale on Official London Theatre, but these are only for performances between the 2nd Jan and 9th Feb, so would only be of use if your dates are flexible. Hope you get to see it, it was really an amazing show!
