Hopefully on an off day this week where I'm in London, rush tix will be available. I'd like to truly judge this all for myself. Slightly broader in scope, but all this mess these past few days... does this spell the end for van Hove's musical work in the WE? (and possibly the USA, considering how his West Side Story went) I know he was slated to do a stage version of the Shining but I'm pretty sure that's dead in the water, and if it wasn't, it probably is now. My ticket is still available on the Noticeboard for tomorrow if that works for you. Unfortunately come down with a cold so I won't be attending.

Just posted a £15 dress circle ticket for this on Thursday as I don't think I'll be able to make it.

There are quite a few £20 tickets left in the front row for one of the days I might go. Would like to make sure I see all the staging for this. Did the stage height look ok to be at the front? It looked very high to me, but I was sat in the Circle. Watched the film again last night, having seen the play on Monday and 100% preferred the play.

I really enjoyed this last night. I'm generally more a musicals than a plays person, but found this very dynamic. Held my attention all the way through despite there not being any interval.

Queried with ATG: "in order to be eligible to book these tickets, each ticket holder must meet at least one of the aforementioned criteria. Depending on which criteria they meet, each person attending must ensure they bring either (1) an identification card (UK or country of residence), (2) a Blue Light Card or (3) documentation confirming your Universal Credit status in order for theatre staff to check as you enter the Duke of York's Theatre."

So the Blue Light card holders can’t take anyone with them who isn’t also a key worker? Or does the “both must qualify” bit only apply to the under 30s? That's what I think is unclear.

Criteria has changed for the £25 tix it seems. Both ticket holders need to fit the criteria (previously your +1 could be anyone if you weren't going based on age), and Key Workers now defined as those eligible for a Blue Light Card (no mention of teachers/shop workers anymore). Hi, I've just looked at the criteria again and now it says: Booking Criteria: UNDER 30s: both ticket holders must be 30 years of age or younger on the date of their chosen performance. KEY WORKERS: Anyone who is eligible for, or a current Blue Light Card holder. This includes workers in the NHS, emergency services, social care sector, armed forces, and specialist education professionals including teachers and childcare workers. THOSE RECEIVING GOVERNMENT BENEFITS: Anyone in receipt of Universal Credit. So it seems like teachers are included now, not sure about other school staff like TAs or support staff? I think the mention in the Under 30 section that both ticketholders must be under 30, but its omission in the others makes it unclear whether that applies for the others. My mum was going to try for Keyworker tickets, but it's unlikely she'd be taking another keyworker with her. I know further up it says both ticketholders must meet the criteria, but the under 30 part confuses things for me... are they saying you can mix and match for the other ticket types, i.e have one keyworker and one benefits for those ticket types, but for the under 30s you can't? There also doesn't seem to be any contact details to ask for more clarity.

I think the best advice would be to listen to some snippets of the music. I think that would give you the best feel for the style of the show.

Typically for the NHS tickets do all the ticket holders need to be NHS staff? I'd like to purchase for me and my mum. I know for <30 ones you usually do, but I've sadly aged out of that now.

My one issue was that it didn't really seem to me like they aged. Yes their hairstyles and fashion changed (mainly Emma), but I'm not sure there were any other differences...

At least one of Vincent and Flavia's shows worked like this. Very much set up as a musical rather than the usual Strictly show with dancing and talking interspersed. It had a storyline and was acted/danced by Vincent and Flavia with other people actually singing the songs for them.

Canadian version is out there too, gonna watch it next week. They’ve ditched the trophy room for the new UK season, you’ll earn the badge in the tasks instead. I binged Traitors Canada over the weekend. Just started on NZ.

I would not be sad if Karen or Katja left. Both pushed past me as I was coming out of Janette and Alijaz's show last year.

He just has to bend his knees more, and Diane will take larger steps to help. I've done VW with a guy about a foot taller than me before, and it was exhausting for me.

I saw this last night, and really enjoyed it. Not much to add to what others have already said- both Patsy Ferran and Bertie Carvel are great though I wish he didn't do that thing with his tongue quite so much, it was a bit weird. The set design could have been better, it was a bit too bare and cardboard like. Neither my friend nor I had seen this play before and we only knew other versions where Eliza and Higgins end up a couple. SPOILER for Sam above {Spoiler - click to view} they don't in this one, she marries some other guy and good for her I didn't mind the ball scene, my friend thought it was exceptionally done. My friend got upgraded to the stalls (from the upper circle, which I believe was empty last night). There were also some empty stalls seats and empty seats in the dress circle, where I was. {Spoiler - click to view} Oh, that's what usually happens in Pygmalion. GBS wrote a prologue where she marries Freddie. I don't necessarily agree with any interpretations where they end up as a couple, but I'd like a happy medium, where they can be friends with her retaining her independence.

I'm interested in it. It's a more iconic film to me than The Devil Wears Prada, which people seem to be salivating over.
If I didn't have other plans that weekend I might have made it over to the workshop.

What is the best side to sit on for this, or do they play to all sides equally? I was in C33 of the stalls, which was a great view, but I thought they did a good job of directing to all sides.

Fun - although it does owe a lot to Hamilton and a touch of Six - but well worth the £17.55 for a "give it a go" evening and Zizi Strallen's performance was worth the price of the ticket alone although I notice the rest of the week isn't selling I would imagine due to the increase in the pricing. Two things FYI the show is longer than advertised - i think it was more 1hr30mins than 65mins-and the seats in the Dress Circle are horrendous due to the almost non exsistant rake meaning everyones heads were in the way -unless you are sitting in Row A - blocking the sightlines. The curve of the circle also means part of the stage is blocked off. Make a note for Hadestown! Thanks for flagging! I was in the stalls which wasn't much better, but I will definitely take heed for Hadestown. Running time was listed at 90 mins no interval.

Really enjoyed this last night. I'd certainly go and see it again in its next incarnation.
Zizzi was great, and clearly having a ball- to say it's a different role to Mary Poppins is an understatement- and Renee was great too.
I'm off to google Marie Antoinette and Jeanne.
