Every American green girl could say they’d love to come to the West End! She’s not been saying directly she wants to come over. But she’s said she’s moving, went to get a new work visa, hinted at another Elphaba stint... And the press release 😂 How long since she last played Elphaba?

There’s one American green girl who’s been hinting quite heavily, and if you look the clues are all there... Do you fancy giving us a clue? 😉

If any American green girl was coming to London right now it would most likely be Jessica Vosk right? I don’t think that’s happening though...

She is very good friends with Sophie so I wonder if she may decide to stay if Lucie comes in. Though Sophie staying for 3 years might annoy many on here, it would be very cute to see that pair, two Welsh Witches!

I don't know how I feel about this whole "she's had enough of this shift" promo. On the one hand, it's cute and fun, but in the other hand, it's a bit just odd as an advertisement choice. They've put it on the website now, as I'm looking up tickets because my friend wants to go so I may get her tickets before Katharine leaves as she's a fan of Smash. They really need to remove the "best availability" week thing, it's not a good look if you're wanting to shift tickets. What date does Katharine leave btw? I can't see it on the website at all? 15th of June

At her March concert she did tell the audience that she was in the middle of auditioning for Elphaba again so Lucie is possible, I don’t know anything further though.

Saw Phantom this afternoon with the kids. David Thaxton was excellent - such a brilliant actor. No idea who played Raoul but he needs to project, as his voice is lost on stage. Been a few years since I saw this show, and it was very nice to see it again. Agree that it could do with freshening up for direction and effects, but it's a masterpiece of musical theatre and deserves to still be running. I think Jeremy Taylor is lead Raoul right now, I’ve noticed quite a few other less-than-favourable reviews of him actually!

Glad this seems to be picking up a bit of a head of steam at last. The comments on Ogie’s singing? Well,I see the character as a bit of a silly fool and the quality of the singing voice is neither here nor there imo.Musical theatre has a history of characters who provide supporting light-relief.Oklahoma,Carousel and many others include such roles and Ogie is cast in this vein,I believe. I see your point, but in my opinion Ogie’s song is one of the catchiest of the score and I think it’s a great song despite maybe being a bit problematic lyrically. Christopher Fitzgerald sings and acts it brilliantly on the cast recording, and as funny as Jack can be, on my next visit I’d love to actually hear this song sung!

Did anyone see the picture on Hugh's insta story, or may have someone in the tours instagram? Kayleigh McKinght (Tina, Les Mis, Regent's JCS) who is already confirmed to be going on tour as a vocalist with him, posing alongside Alice Fearn and Rebecca Trehearn with a caption about a great time recording songs and clips for the tour. It might be that they're just recording a song for it- but they could very well be joining him on tour! Aren’t all the UK dates in May? Alice will still be in Wicked!

I found Millie to be really cringe on the One Show performance too but I’ll reserve full judgement until I see her live (if she’s on). Sidenote, Christina Modestou is a brilliant performer!

Anyone else find Alistair Brammer very attractive? I can’t wait to see how good he looks in the jodhpurs 😂🙈 Alistair in the jodhpurs, Jac in a loincloth. Exciting times. It’s gonna be one hot summer this year 🤤

Innuendoandoutuendo was where I used to go before I knew here existed, and when I was just interested in Wicked rather than all theatre. It seems pretty dead there now.

I quite liked Aaron’s characterisation so he was one of my preferred Fiyeros despite his lack of strong vocals. Right now my ranking is Oliver Saville, Aaron Sidwell, Jeremy Taylor (don’t really remember much about his performance), Ashley Parker Angel (pretty poor). I’m very excited to see Alistair though, he might shoot right to the top of the list!

Maybe it’s just because she sounds dreadful and no one wants to hear her croak her way through the score when you can have Patti LuPone?
Joking, joking...

What is a "stan"? I've seen the word used a few times on the board recently but don't know what it means. This is the top definition on Urban Dictionary and I think it’s pretty accurate: A crazed and or obsessed fan. The term comes from the song Stan by eminem. The term Stan is used to describe a fan who goes to great lengths to obsess over a celebrity. “Person 1: Dude these kids have been waiting outside the concert since 8 A:M even though no one was lined up...” “Person 2: What a bunch of Stans”

I'm sorry but I don't get people loudly wanting a show to close. Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean other don't. I'd never say a show should close just because I don't like it or want something else in the theatre. Not least because these shows actually employ 10s or even hundreds of people who all would lose their job. I don’t understand it either. It’s like some people can’t bear for other people to actually enjoy smtg they don’t. Btw, Andy, was it you who was at the Waitress preview performance where they had that big on stage f*ck up with the pie? If so, this made me chuckle 😆 I was there too, absolute mess! 🙄😂

I wonder how many bottles of wine the marketing team had consumed when they suggested this one?

Is this one to book now or could there be discounts closer to the time? I remember seeing deals for Little Shop towards the end of the run last year. Unfortunately I can’t take advantage of the brilliant Under 18 half price tickets this year💔 Their 18-25 membership costs a one-off £10 fee and lets you book Band B seats for any production (including the Barbican transfer of JCS) for £10 each, so even if you just book one ticket for one production it'll cost you £20 in total instead of £50. The only catch is you can only book for preview performances, so it's not ideal in terms of flexibility, but you get other benefits too. openairtheatre.com/breezeI’m on holiday all through previews unfortunately and I was hoping to pair this trip with the Les Mis Concert trip I have booked at the beginning of September. Thanks so much for letting me know about this though, I’m sure it’ll be of great use to me in future years!
