Not tonight but last night - the final episode of Endeavour was just brilliant. Every character that we’ve known and loved over the years had their own little moments. I laughed and cried multiple times, all of the creative team deserve so much credit for making such a high quality drama. It will be missed. The last episode was indeed brilliant. Everyone was on top form and it was definitely my favourite episode. Loved all the references to Morse and yes tears were flowing freely during the last ten minutes. “Goodbye Endeavour. No it’s just Morse”

I enjoyed it a lot but would have loved an extra 15 minutes to give greater soace to the storytelling.
Some bits felt very rushed.
There were lots of lovely moments but it all felt a bit breathless

Challenge Anneka. Channel 5. 8.50pm. Lovely Dave's back, too. I'll be reliving my teenage years... BurlyBeaR will be reliving his mid-30s. 🤣

BBC iPlayer has just added several of its recent Dickens adaptations to the site, including the 2005 Bleak House with Anna Maxwell Martin, Gillian Anderson and Carey Mulligan, which is one of the best.

Anyone seen The Piano - tv reality show on C4. It's only five episodes from start to finish? I'm surprised @tallpaul hasn't been raving about this given the Yurkshur connections .. Anyway, if there's a tv moment this year to beat this - well, two moments - I'll be surprised. Extraordinary. www.channel4.com/programmes/the-pianoNot giving anything away. If you've seen it, please don't

That can't be right as he looks about 30. I throughly recommend it as well.

I'm surprised @tallpaul hasn't been raving about this given the Yurkshur connections .. @tallpaul didn't rave about it because we don't really do raving in Yurkshur...wherever that is. I can recommend Imagine on/about Stephen Frears. First broadcast last Monday, and now available on BBC iPlayer. It's not often that Vienna and Rotherham are mentioned in the same breath!

The organisation that helped with *the contestant* posts a lot of videos on Youtube: The Amber Trust.
Obv. not safe for work, though not in the usual sense

Great Expectations... ...Very poor delivery. Gave up after 15 minutes I tried giving it another chance, but it really is dire whether you try to see it as an adaptation or a 'reimagining'. Did the powers that be at BBC drama watch it in preview screenings and think, yeah, it's fine?

Really boring and dreary.

Saturday night BBC 2 is dedicating the whole evening to Burt Bacharach.
Also if you have Virgin Media Channel 999 (Virgin Ultra) is showing 42nd Street at 6pm (Drury Lane).

Saturday night BBC 2 is dedicating the whole evening to Burt Bacharach. I very much enjoyed A Tribute from Ronnie Scott's. The cellist, Gabriella Swallow, was the Sky's Edge cellist.

The first episode of Agatha Christie’s Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? was shown on ITV1 last night - continuing tonight and tomorrow. Previously shown on Britbox. A really enjoyable opening episode with a lovely central performance by Will Poulter. Ideal bank holiday viewing.

It's very engaging - similar to the best of the old ITV Marple series which I love. My neighbours, who are elderly and don't enjoy much on TV these days are delighted with it too. Much better than Steven Knight's 'Winnie the Pooh - Blood and Honey' take on Great Expectations over on BBC 1. Been doing a Likely Lads on Succession all day what with family and friends visiting for the long weekend but have now managed to watch it - rather wish they'd timed that episode to a less socially busy weekend though!

Also enjoying the Agatha Cristie. Did I dream it or was Jim Broadbent and Emma Thompson in episode 2?

Apparently Brian Cox turned up for filming the funeral - not a spoiler as we know that's coming - so film shoot paparazzi wouldn't give the game away
