I could see Saffron's fanbase voting for her.
But Joe Sugg with his huge fanbase didn't win it.

Bruno has explained he saved Mike because Katya made the mistake in the lifts (not Mike), and Mike carried on regardless. But Bruno's explanation was cut from the results show.
People have allegedly reported Katya was in tears afterwards, because she knew it was her mistake.

Mike and Katya made a clear dance off mistake which would have been a point off in normal rounds so they were very lucky to stay.
Felt sorry for Emma Thynn as she has been a class act throughout the run and really gave it a good shot. Also Aljaz and Janette both went out this week for different reasons so it wasn't a great week for them either.

Alex will be back dancing with Neil tonight. With a week to go, I wonder how many times Blackpool will get a mention on this evening’s show!

Michelle shone again tonight. Saffron was overmarked. Again.
Surely they can't save Mike again. That was beyond awkward and embarrassing

I’m also in agreement that Saffron was over-marked (as an aside, she needs to take that nose ring out, it looks awful). Definitely think it’s time for Mike to go, surely we need the people who can dance left for Blackpool. Bit worried for Chris that he may be in the bottom 2. Kelvin definitely suits latin more, he seems so much more confident and his hips can move!

I liked Saffron and AJ’s performance. He gets the best out of her and it was a charming dance. I don’t understand the marking though. Beginning to think that Craig’s reticence is correct.

I really do think it’s time Mike went. Fingers crossed for Chris to escape dance off

Don't think Saffron was overmarked at all and think the only time she has been was her Couples Choice which are almost always overmarked.

I thought Michelle barely danced and looked laboured when she did - very confused by her score and the general over-effusive praise.
Saffron was a bit overmarked due to the amount of time they spent out of hold and doing non-waltz steps but it was technically very good indeed so it was a 9 at least.
She was the only one who was really good tonight - I enjoyed Alex & Neil as well (her enthusiasm is infectious) but the rest were distinctly underwhelming at best.

Although I love Michelle, I thought she looked a bit laboured this week, and predicted she might be in trouble. Her dress didn't help, she looked lumpy and frumpy and in need of a foundation garment! I didn't understand the effusive praise either. But I'm glad she was saved, it was Mike's time to go.

Saffron danced well but was it a near max dance I do wonder - maybe a 35 to 37. But her and AJ are likeable and must be a strong contender to make the finals given their ability and fanbases.
In the previous couple of weeks I'd kept wondering why I associated Saffron with Bridget Jones as she doesn't look like Renee Zellweger then I realised it was her costumes being shorter and her leotard reminded me of Bridget Jones' big knickers.

Celebrity line-up for the live tour:
Alex, Catherine, Emma (Barton), Karim, Kelvin, Saffron...and Mike.
Can't have everything, I suppose!

Celebrity line-up for the live tour: Alex, Catherine, Emma (Barton), Karim, Kelvin, Saffron...and Mike. Can't have everything, I suppose! All the leading contenders bar Catherine and Mike are on it. Michelle has been overlooked as it was revealed in the press at the weekend. Might be the extra cost of flying her back over for the tour etc IMO. Chris Ramsay is also a notable admission but he has a big comedy tour starting in March so 5 weeks taken up with Strictly Tour and rehearsals would eat into his time. Emma Thynn/Weymouth has a young family and I doubt needs the money so I can understand her not doing the tour, The tour is certainly BBC staffer heavy with Alex, Emma B, Mike and Karim lets just hope some greedy cow from the BBC News Dept doesn't start demanding extra money over this.

Blackpool tonight! Surely we’ll see the first score of 40 this evening?

So crazy overmarking tonight.
The AS was pedestrian. She looked so uncomfortable at time.
The Paso was undermined for me by her constantly lifting up her skirt. I know it is about becoming a cape but it does not say much for female empowerment to make it so central. As an image, it made me feel uncomfortable.
The Jive felt scrappy and too many poses. Certainly not a 39.

Yes agree the scoring is very OTT tonight. And I wish Saffron would get rid of that nose ring. So unfeminine.

I so wanted to like the Vogue routine. But I didn't. It was just lacking in dance content.
But it wasn't worse than Chris's Salsa or was it a Samba?
It was fun but not a dance.
And the QS was too fast and the backing dancers were in the way

It is a fashion choice - but one that many people find hard to like. I wouldn't say it was unfeminine - but I would say that I don't like the look. Her choice - but also my choice not to like it on anyone who chooses to have that sort of piercing - male, female or other.
When you are doing a period style dance, having a very modern nose piercing does detract from the styling - so perhaps it would be better to only wear it for contemporary routines rather than for something more traditional.

Dont really care if you find it rude or not. And im sure she isnt going to get rid of it just because I dont like it. Get over it yourself!

Was it me (don't know if it was because they're all at Blackpool) however they all seemed to up their game tonight?
Well done to all involved.
