Is there any word on how long the refurbs of Drury Lane and The Shaftesbury are planned for?
Also i can only imagine that of An Officer does go into town it would only be a shortish limited run so there will be something else in that theatre too coming up.

Savoy - 9 to 5 followed by Mean Girls Prince Edward - Mary Poppins Drury Lane - Frozen (after the refurb) Piccadilly - An Officer and a Gentleman Noel Coward - All About Eve followed by Dear Evan Hansen Gielgud - Les Mis I think you're pretty spot on with that. Watch it all change and swap now 😂 obviously if you’re not at liberty to divulge, then say, but have you heard anything about the Hello, Dolly! transfer with Bette? I feel like I need some kernel of info on this, but I fear it’s all unsubstantiated rumour  |

I feel like I need some kernel of info on this, but I fear it’s all unsubstantiated rumour Bette was over a few weeks ago and looked at a few theatres (my friend works at claridges) I know the Palladium was one (box office staff told me) and the Colesium another. The issue is if it’s an 8 week run the maths don’t work out - and the producers (IF it happens) want a minimum 12 or more plus pretty hefty prices. Bette was on almost 300,000 dollars a week on Broadway (Broadway actor friend told me who has several friends in the cast) so the maths might not work out and it might not happen. Fingers CROSSED! |

It’s doing another run at the NT at the end of this year (although in the Lyttelton this time) - I doubt they’d schedule it for the West End as well unless that run is sold out. |

Yes I do know that it’s going back to the NT, just thought if it was popular they might bring it in for 12 weeks. But since it’s going back out on tour, that’s obviously not going to happen!

I saw Dolly on Broadway with Bette and I wish I had held out for Peters or gone to see Donna.
Bette is great I’m a huge fan but she struggled vocally and physically with this role.
Also, as someone mentioned the ‘greed’ it’s absolutely shocking. The souvenir programme no nicer than anything I’ve got in the West End was $50 dollars or something near enough to £35/40

How is School of Rock doing? There have been lots of offers and discounts for this recently. it was also featured as one of Today Tix’s £15 tickets daily deals (along with 42nd St, Motown & Dreamgirls - all of which are closing). It doesn’t seem to be selling at full price considering these signs, but I haven’t been to the theatre itself for over a year so don’t know how full the auditorium gets.

Further to justme 's post, Wilma has posted a photo of the Dear Evan Hansen - the Novel preview (due for release October 9th). On the back of an enclosed promotional card for the novel it says: "A sharply funny and poignant debut inspired by the story and characters made famous by the Broadway musical of the same name, set to hit the West End in 2019." |

I imagine this book was printed a while ago when plans were very firm but since then a well known producer has dropped out and plans to transfer seem less certain.

I would love to see The Last Ship come to the West End, am only slightly familiar with it but just really want to see it and feel it would work well, maybe the Shaftesberry or Piccadilly theatre.
