I used TodayTix for the first time on Monday and got 2 tickets for Bat Out Of Hell for £12 each plus £3 booking fee! I had a problem with the booking procedure (my fault) and had prompt and courteous replies from their customer service department. Very impressed.

Lots of shows on offer and lots of £15 bargains but all upper circle from the random sample check I just did.

There were £15 stalls tickets for Pinter Four on offer when I looked earlier, but otherwise all Upper Circle (from what I looked at, anyway)

No real bargains this time. You can normally get £15 in the Upper Circle anyway

Still it’s one way of getting a lot of traffic to the website ...

I like them for rush tickets but I would rarely book anything else through them because you can’t choose your own seats. I’ve never (from memory) found the seats I like to sit in for a better price on TodayTix.

Agree about lack of seat choice & non-rush tix not necessarily being cheaper. Having your seat automatically allocated can be OK for small venues, eg Trafalgar 2 - though not if you're offered those horrible high stools - but sod paying what can still be quite a lot for the back of the stalls when you know there are better seats available at the same price.

Exactly showgirl. I thought they hit their low-point with all of their Pinter and the Pinter marketing, where the promise was seats at £15 but they were invariably standing tickets.

Has the 'discontinued referral credit'-boycott ended then?

Has the 'discontinued referral credit'-boycott ended then? Mine lasted precisely as long as it took them to do one of their 24 hour £15 deals on something I wanted to see But I now only tend to use them for this kind of discount or rush tickets.

I had never managed to earn any credit anyway and as Xanderl notes, principles may yield to temptation. But you do always have to check to see which website offers the best deal: for instance, if booking for Chasing Bono at Soho Theatre, the Time Out deal @theatremonkey lists on his site is better than that offered by Todaytix.

Has the 'discontinued referral credit'-boycott ended then? Not by me. I had £65 wiped from my account by them. I always tell people they are cowboys.

Noticed that Todaytix have added Melbourne, Australia to it's list , mainly for the Harry Potter 'Friday 40' lottery but includes shows at MTC and La Mama. Worth having a look if you're planing a visit, or you know, actually live there.

Just a quick question. On Monday I booked to see Carmen at the Kings head theatre but due to ill health will not be able to see the show tonight. Is it worth me contacting todaytix or kings head or can you not return tickets under any circumstances? I'm imagining it's the latter but it's worth a try.

I believe they don't offer refunds under any circumstances (unless the show is cancelled or something). But no harm in asking!

From the Todaytix site T&C Due to TodayTix and box office policies, we are unable to refund or exchange your tickets. Additionally, we are unable to resell your tickets on our site or provide credit for you to use on a separate purchase. If you are unable to attend your purchased performance, please change the pick up name on your order to a friend or family member and send them your email confirmation. If the production allows alterations to pick up information, you can do this by navigating to 'my orders' and click/tap on options next to your purchased show. This option is not available for Lottery, Rush, or Special Offers.

Btw, have you noticed that Todaytix charges 10% of the ticket price as their fees now? "Lowest in the industry", they say...

I recently exchanged the date Come From Away tickets with TodayTix a couple of weeks ago and I have not had such a seamless process from start to end with their team!
I have previously had terrible customer service when trying to exchange tickets *cough* encore tickets *cough* which has since resulted in me not using them for my tickets anymore, even though it was my first time using them! (they really did not give a great first impression, that's for sure!)
Amazing customer service and was very kind and very efficient in providing me with a code of the value of my tickets which let me go on the app and reselect my tickets myself, which I particularly loved. I am even more inclined to book with them now just because of this great customer service, they even emailed personally after the show asking if everything went smoothly and if the issue that originally stopped me going was sorted! A big well done to TodayTix from me!

Even my mum’s disability and me changing my flights because of that and not being in London on the date I had a ticket for a Fun Home booked via TodayTix haven’t helped me to get an exchange...

Is it just me but I’m finding getting rush seats much more difficult thewe days?
I am assuming it’s because the app is becoming more popular and well known for this deal?

The app has gone from a bit of a little secret to something that's being heavily advertised to all and sundry (rather than just word of mouth) and getting the rush tickets is nigh on imposible now.

I almost wish they would do a one minute queue or something. Click for rush at 10am, randomly assigned a position and then able to go through to buy at 10:01. If you release the seats you go to the back of the line. Then again if you find a way with the current system to make it work for you then it’s great.

Do they blacklist you if you don’t claim lottery tickets?
