This 10% booking fee they've brought in is quite frankly ridiculous and a complete rip off, especially considering they always charged £3 before. Just had a look out of interest and it seems £3 is the lowest fee they'll charge but then it goes up to £12.50 for some shows! I'll definitely only be using them for the rush and lottery tickets, no way am I paying that much in booking fees especially when you can't select your own seat

That’s the problem of on-line booking, you can’t tell them to shove their bag of crisps up their a***.

I had a great one last week from Sage Gateshead. I was charged a five pound service fee on one ticket (which you kind of expect these days, sadly) but then I was also charged two fifty extra for them not to put in an envelope and to not post out my ticket and for me to just pick it up myself. I find that outrageous!
Of course them not posting out my ticket could not possibly have been included in the five pound service fee...
It's just greed, greed, greed these days!

Outrageous charges- like others I’ll probably only use them now for the heavily discounted and rush tickets.

At nearly £400 for two tickets there are more obvious problems there than just the ticket fee!

The last part of the company's name refers to disease-spreading blood-sucking parasites. Why is anyone surprised by their behaviour?

On the other hand I am hugely grateful for their rush tickets and lottery tickets as it saves having to queue up in the morning outside the theatre with no guarantee you will get a seat. At least you can book from the comfort of your home and know immediately if you have got tickets. I like many other forum members know of other ways to buy general tickets without paying high fees and would probably never use Today Tix for general bookings. The same as I would never buy premium tickets for a show but the option is there for people who want and can afford to pay the fees. Each to their own.

I'd like to take a moment to lighten the mood and say something positive about TodayTix. I've bought lots of tickets through them and I've never yet had a single problem (always had great seats) or been charged anything that I would call outrageous (especially when compared to the monstrosity that is ATG). I get that they could have handled the credit thing better (and to be fair I wasn't directly affected by that) but the one time I did have to deal with them they were delightful.
Done. As you were.

That’s been my experience up to last week too - which is why I find their behaviour so disappointing. They’ve not just let us down, they’ve let themselves down.

Managed to use my £10 credit on a rush mob ticket for Caesar this afternoon.
I must admit I’ll still use the app for Rush tickets and lottery - though I do still hate lotteries - the timing is really tight for me to travel in to town by the time they actually alert you, and when I’m actually in town anyway I never win!

I only use the app for rush tickets and lottery too. I don't see why I should use the app for normal prices plus a fee when there are possibly better deals around.

OK so my boycott of TodayTix lasted precisely as long as it took them to put up a decent offer for The Grinning Man

I've had no email saying the scheme is not continuing. I wouldn't have known if not for this site, my credit would no doubt have been taken.

We were told we had until the 30th to use remaining credit (not that I have received an email telling me this...) but my app has just been updated and the refer bit has gone and my remaining credit has gone.
That's pretty terrible!

That's pretty terrible! That was the case for me but when I made a booking the credit was still there and applied automatically. So worth trying that to check. But if you are one of the unlucky ones they may have deliberately removed your credit!

Doesn't look as if "The Stage" are interested as they never replied to my email about todaytix.

Hello dear theatre board, I would like your advice on TodayTix credit issue. I went for a weekend to London to see a few shows and when I try to order some tickets through the app I discovered my credit had disappeared. I had more than $300 on my account. I contact TT but they just said that I violated there T&C and there is nothing I can do. Do you have any advice what should I do? It feels like a scam from TodayTix side. Extremely disappointed.
