Think people are having a hard time with it because 1. It makes absolutely no sense and 2. There has never been a ‘list of riffs’ I was at Wicked this summer and Jessica Vosk added riffs to No Good Deed and DG. At the stage-door I asked her if she had done that previously and she said "It was spur of the moment! Our MD wasn't happy though, we're only suppose to do approved riffs." so the actress cannot just go out there and do whatever the heck they want! Now I'm not bothered by if they do riffs or not, they can sing what they like as long as I still enjoy it, but I am very jealous you got to watch and actually MEET Jessica Vosk, I've spoken to her on twitter a few times and her instagram stories make me laugh so much, she is like the dream Elphaba I would love to see!

The thing to remember though is even if it is a dream part, this is already her longest run in a leading role in a musical. Sure with Wizard of Oz she was there a year and a half, but a year of that was going on one performance a week and holiday. A year is a fairly long time still. And as Wicked have proved numerous times, she could always come back to the role in the future!
I hope Alice stays. Although by the time cast change rolls around she will be almost 5 years over the age bracket that they seem to be wanting to cast now. Still want her to stay though. A lot.

I have said it since the show opened, Louise Dearman is perfect for it. A tad young bit age her up a notch and shes good to go! She'd kill it vocally! I would LOVE to see Louise Dearman in this role! When I saw Kristen Gaetz the other week playing Dorothy I would say (although I don't know, purely judging on appearance) that she is probably quite a bit younger than Sheena Easton and she was great in the role and really suited the costume, wig & makeup!

I absolutely love Cats, I've seen it twice at the theatre and have watched the filmed version more times that I can count, however I really feel like this could be the film that no one has ever needed...

Just seen on twitter that Hannah Toy is on as the midwife tonight, I feel it has been quite a few pages since the last mention of the famous & ever popular fifth cover midwife! What an event! :')

Tom was very ill and it was obvious. I love him as Julian and he seemed fine for Act 1 bar a bit pale and peaky in the face. But during Lullaby of Broadway he was audibly coughing throughout, and struggling to get through. His voice was hourse the rest of the show and at the 42nd Street (Reprise), he had a martini glass with water in so he could drink if needed as well as the scarf. I doubt he will be on today. When I was there last Wednesday Tom had seemed fine throughout the first half but then was coughing a lot and his voice kept cracking throughout Lullaby of Broadway, I wondered how he would manage the 42nd Street Reprise but he seemed a bit better by then, his voice was not cracking anymore but I wouldn't say it seemed quite as powerful as it normally does.

My highlights this year were 42nd Street, The Addams Family & Wicked (although I'm aware I'm very late to the party on this and everyone has probably already seen it 200 times )

I love these films, saw the 3rd the day after it came out and really enjoyed it, however I'd say that the first two films have a better selection of songs in. Love Rebel Wilson in them (and all the other films I've seen her in, gutted I never got a chance to see her in Guys and Dolls). Still disappointed Fat Amy isn't a real person I can be friends with!

I did enjoy it but I prefer the Play That Goes Wrong which I saw in the Summer and Peter Pan which I saw last on the bbc last year, haven't seen Comedy About A Bank Robbery yet but that is on my plans for next year. I think I would have liked this better if it had been done as a filmed stage show!

Watched this for the 2nd time last night (first time was back in April) - I think I enjoyed it even more the second time round, quite a few understudies on, for me the stand outs were Kristen Gaetz as Dorothy Brock, (I think I actually enjoyed her performance more than Sheena Easton's!) and CJ Johnson as Maggie, I'd really enjoyed Jasna's performance last time and was a little disappointed not to see her at first but CJ Johnson was brilliant and I enjoyed her performance just as much!

On Natalie McQueen's instagram story she's put that she is back at Wicked for few days, I'm guessing she is there on standby - I wonder if it is for Elphaba or Nessarose - or both?

Have been listening to this CD on my 45 minute walk to work, I really enjoy it, wasn't really that familiar with Cassidy Janson or Beverly Knight's voices if I'm honest but I enjoy all the performances on the CD, particularly One Night Only, Seasons Of Love & Memory.

Jersey Boys x5, Rock Of Ages x3 lots of other things I've seen twice. Just remembered I've also seen the Joseph tour 3 times but that's over 12 years (although I was in choir on and off for a year and half, which lead to a 9/10 year old me sneakily trying to watch what was going on in the middle of the stage from the corner of my eye without turning my head at least 30 something times... it was over a year before I got to watch it from the audience!)

You can no pre-order the new cast recording on Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/42ND-STREET-2017-LONDON-RECORDING/dp/B077HFCWR6/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1511822696&sr=1-1&keywords=42nd+street+cd+london+cast), I have ordered two, one for me and one for my dad as a Christmas present! We absolutely loved the show when we saw it back in April on Good Friday!

After some dinner and a delayed train I just got home from todays matinee, I easily found the cast board this time, it was wrong, but I found it! It said that Sophie Evans was on and Aimee Fisher as Nessarose, but it was actually Maria as Glinda and Rosa on as Nessarose! It's a great show and I really enjoyed myself, however during the first half the sound was so bad I could barely hear any thing they were saying or singing, Maria was a lot quieter (to the point I could barely hear her during One Short Day it was like Alice was singing their duet parts as a solo) than Alice but she seemed quieter also, they were being drowned out by the band and we kept getting a buzzing noise from the speaker, we were sat in D11 and D12 (same seats we sat in last time and we could here perfectly then) of the stalls but we moved into D13 and D14 in act 2 so we weren't quite so close to the speaker and it made the world of difference and we could hear all the leads very clearly just not so much the ensemble! We couldn't tell if it was where we were setting or a genuine sound problem but we didn't see that moving two seats along should have made as much difference as it did! I still loved the show and the cast are amazing, cannot wait to return! (Sorry for the long post)

Off to see Wicked on Wednesday afternoon, really looking forward to it, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me where the cast board/screen is?I managed to miss it last time. If you enter through the Wilton Rd entrance (opposite Victoria station) it's on the right hand side, above the box office windows! 👍🏼 Thank you everyone, that's the entrance I came in last time, I was just not paying attention! xx

I would love to see this show again, saw it at Woking in September and really enjoyed it, to me the stand outs were the Ancestors I loved how strong the characterisation was in each of them for what is essentially an ensemble track! I am a big fan of the films and have seen some of the black and white TV show, a box set I have never got round to finishing. I really hope this goes to the West End, even for a short run!

Went to see Wicked for the first time last week and I absolutely loved it! No idea why it has taken me this long to see it but I definitely plan on going again. We sat in the restricted view seats at the end of row D in the stalls and really they couldn't have been better for us, we only missed a tiny back corner of the stage and I wouldn't have said impacted it for us at all, we had such a clear view of everything going on and I loved it! I found this video on youtube, it says its London, does anyone know who Elphaba and Glinda are in it?

Hello, will be making another Jersey Boys trip tomorrow, this may sound daft but where in the Piccadilly is the cast board as on my previous visits I've never spotted it and they don't seem to do understudy announcements - last time I went Mark Isherwood was on as Tommy DeVito - the first time I have ever seen a second cover in anything - he was very good even if I think he may have walked into the pole by the stairs!
