I am currently at the matinee currently having a show stop due to a fire alarm in the building next door!

Maria has her last scheduled show today then leaves on the 13th of April, presumably that means we must be getting a new Glinda standby fairly soon as I can't imagine Carina will be coming back?

I didn't even realise this wasn't confirmed up till now😂. Can't wait to see this, love the film, avoided watching it until a few months ago but then my friend wanted to watch it so I gave in and actually really enjoyed it!

Wow, I didn’t know Alan Titchmarsh could sing! He used to do lots of Amateur Dramatics with my mum's friend, my mum's seen him perform quite a few times- one time was in the Mikado, I don't know what the other shows were.

Introduced my best friend to Smash yesterday! She seemed to really enjoy it and we made our way through the first four episodes. Her 3 month old baby was also enjoying it, he laughed everytime Anjelica Huston was on screen! (when he wasn't asleep)

Having listened to the new cast recording several times in the last week, I am pleased to say it is growing on me!

Listened to this on my way to work this morning, I did enjoy it but it felt a bit like something was missing for me, it was all very polished sounding, almost like glee does Heathers, I also felt that the tempo of some of the songs (particularly 'Beautiful') was just too slow so it took the energy of the whole song down.

I was also at the matinee today! Enjoyed this so much more than I was expecting! Karen Cartwright😉 was great,She Used To Be Mine a particular stand out for me! Loved Marisha Wallace fantastic voice and so so funny!Jack McBrayer was exactly the same as he is in 30 Rock, which I love him in,so I was happy! Waitress is a very funny show! Well behaved and enthusiastic audience. Got myself an Apple pie which I found fairly disgusting (topping too stodgy, apple too slimy),forced myself to eat it as I don't like to waste food, did love the little jar though!

I remember watching an Oliver Ormson vlog where he went to a photoshoot for the Rock Of Ages tour (where he wasn't performing), just to cover for an actor who hadn't been cast yet. He did make it clear it was only the body though. I’m pretty sure his photos were for Kevin Clifton whose face was photoshopped over, Lucie’s face is all over Times Square at the moment. The first UK tour of Ghost back in 2013 had Lauren Varnham on all the posters and she was not in the show!

That isn’t ‘really’ the coat is it? Joe and his sh#tcoloured rag? He only wears his sh#tcoloured rag at the end when he greets Jacob as he arrives im Egypt.

I love that using KMP is a thing now. That's when I don't call her by her old stage name Karen Cartwright, of course... she will definitely be Karen Cartwright to me when I go and see it(in 18 days😁😁)

Yesss started this the week before Christmas as I got the boxset for my birthday, halfway through season 2 and I am really enjoying it! Sad I haven't got that many episodes left but will definitely be a series I re-watch! Megan Hilty is brilliant! I am team Ivy all the way!

Good lord, she really is a beautiful Glinda! Lovely to see whoever was on for Elphaba chose not to bow, instead run out with Elphaba then step to the side. it was Jessica Vosk xx

Wow. Wow. Wow.
What an incredible closing night, first time seeing Bonnie and I thought she was great especially in Boulevard Of Broken dreams, Clare Halse amazing as usual, so happy she got all the praise and recognition she deserved after the staircase and during Tom Lister's speech! I still think the staircase section is easily the best choreography I've ever seen on stage and I love the build up to it!! So sad that it's over but so happy I was there to witness the end. The cast deserved every standing ovation a thousand times over!
Also, never noticed it before but during shadows Dorothy's silhouette on the white curtain could have easily been Madame Morrible from Wicked with that wig and all those feathers!

I think Sophie Isaacs would make a fantastic Glinda!
I actually think Rosa would be brilliant as Elphaba(I know she's been up for it before she got Glinda understudy) in my opinion she has such a strong and stunning voice! Pair her with Sophie Isaacs and they would surely be the tiniest pair of Witches we'd ever have!

My 2018 Shows: (In order)
February: Shen Yun at the Dominion Theatre - If I'm honest I didn't enjoy it all, it was my dad who wanted to see it so we went as a family trip. He didn't like it either. I really struggled to stay awake (although I would point out that I had been awake since 5 am),the show just didn't appeal to me although the dancers were all very talented. Flashdance The Musical at the New Victoria Theatre Woking- Pleasantly surprised me, I thought Joanne Clifton was great and the songs were surprisingly catchy, I like the film but wasn't sure how well it would transfer on to the stage turns out it did this very well in my opinion!
March: Ballet Rambert's Ghost Dances at Woking Theatre. My god mother had specifically flown over from Greece to watch this with us, I had never been to a Rambert show before so I was not sure what to expect. The show was split into three acts of 3 completely different dance pieces with two short intervals. Wasn't very keen on the first act, quite liked the second act and absolutely loved the third act! My godmother loved the whole show but didn't like the theatre. Would not tell us why.
April: Wicked at the Apollo Victoria: 3rd time seeing the show, enjoyed it as always and went to stage door for the first and probably last time, cast were lovely was not a fan of the other people waiting at stage door barging you out the way!
May: Karen and Kevin Dance at Woking! Brilliant show from Kevin and Karen Clifton (also featured Diane Buswell). Fantastically danced and very funny in places. Although I never need to seen a topless Kevin Clifton attempting to rap ever again!
June: Shrek the Musical at Woking theatre. Really enjoyed this (although not a patch on the Broadway DVD). Its an enjoyable show with some genuinely funny moments and a good cast. Met Laura Main at stage door who was absolutely lovely!
July: Wicked Cast Change (Matinee only) : I'd never been to a muck up matinee before and enjoyed the little changes they had added into the show (only seemed to be in the first half though). Ridiculously hot day which hampered my enjoyment slightly as I was just so uncomfortable! Show great as always though!
September: Kerry Ellis live at Zedel - first time seeing Kerry after being a fan for years! Great show with a fantastic set list, just wish there had been some Wicked! Loved the venue definitely plan on seeing something else there in the future!
October: Fame at Woking Theatre: Went along with my manager as she had managed to get cheap tickets. Wasn't expecting to enjoy it that much as I really don't like the film but I actually thought it was great. A very strong young cast with some fantastic dance performances. Would definitely see it again in the future. Heathers at Theatre Royal Haymarket: A bit of a sick and twisted show but I really enjoyed it. Great performances all round. Jersey Boys at Woking Theatre: 6th time seeing the show, the tour was lacking in something slightly from the London Show but I couldn't quite put my finger on it, the cast were fantastic but there was something missing for me. Still enjoyed it but had definitely seen it better.
Best show of 2018: Heathers Worst show: Shen Yun Biggest Surprise: Fame Most seen: Wicked (Jersey Boys was number six but only saw it once this year).

I went to see this today, my first trip to the new local cinema that opened a month ago! Whilst I had quite liked the first Nativity film I'd found that they had got worse by each film despite having fantastic casts, however I would say Nativity Rocks is easily the best of the 4! Absolutely loved Simon Lipkin in it (he was always a favourite of mine in Rock Of Ages) I had forgotten just how funny he is even with more child friendly material than he had in ROA! Thought Helen George was great and there was an adorable child with a bowl cut so what more do you need!
