Hi, I'm new here! Saw the matinee performance today (my 3rd time seeing it) and I definitely felt that Alice's riffing was distracting and took away from the show - I had assumed they were creative changes made by the MD until I read here:([br It would have been Laura Pick as Elphaba today! Alice tweeted that she is off sick xx

I went to a Friday 5pm showing before that was super quiet so I got appreciate the actual musical rather than it being all being taken over by the audience participation!

I think Don Jolly will be good! Not too keen on Alison Hammond, too shouty and over the top for me!

Finally saw this yesterday afternoon after booking within minutes of the tickets going on sale back in July. It was definitely worth the wait - I really enjoyed myself. The whole cast was great not a weak link among them. I have listened to the soundtrack more times than I can count so it was amazing to finally see these songs performed live, I enjoyed the new songs as well though wasn't as keen on Heather Duke's song as for a lot of it I couldn't really understand what she was singing!
An almost full house with a very enthusiastic audience, easily the loudest audience I've ever encountered at a show, but luckily only at appropriate times! I seemed to have booked us seats in the middle of a large group of Carrie fans who as the show ended were loudly screaming 'We love you Carrie'.
It seems to have become tradition for me that whenever I see Nathan Amzi perform that I see him out and about a couple of hours before the show! When I saw Rock Of Ages he was walking by me in Leicester square whilst I looked for somewhere to eat and yesterday he was sat outside a café on the Haymarket!

Jeez... I'm not sure how Kerry will feel if her craziest fangirls book and she is trapped on board with them 24/7! Her nervous twitch of repeated hair tucking will return! When I saw her at zedel the other week there was plenty of hair tucking!

Sophie (Evans) was meant to be on the Stages cruise next week, but has pulled out due to illness - and her replacement is none other than Kerry Ellis! So when is Sophie likely to return to Wicked, do we know? She's already been off two weeks and next week is scheduled holiday! I reckon it could be few weeks yet, she tweeted that she has bronchitis!

Saw this on Thursday night in Woking, last minute booking as my boss managed to find some tickets for £12.50 for the centre of row E in the stalls so I went with her and her two grown up daughters. Went in not really expecting to enjoy it much (I really don't like the film), however I actually had a really good time! Great young cast, particular stand out for me was Stephanie Rojas! Jorgie Porter was an excellent ballet dancer although she does pull some strange faces at times! Mica Paris voice absolutely stunning! Not a show I would immediately rush back to see again but I am so glad I got to see it!

Saw her show at Zedel last night, REALLY enjoyed it (even if I was rather short),she sung a variety of songs; some take that, Coldplay, Queen, My Fair Lady, Greatest Showman and more that I can't remember right now! No 'Wicked' though which surprised me! A sold out audience who were well behaved and enthusiastic (although their was a man and a woman in the very front with there table literally lined up with the centre of the stage who seemed to cry throughout, but at least it was quiet crying!). Kerry had great audience interaction, getting us to join in with Somebody to Love, she pulled a woman out the audience for the final song (This Is Me) asked her if she knew the song, then when she said yes handed her the microphone and let her take over, she had a fantastic voice and Kerry (as well as the audience) was clearly very impressed! The guest performer for the evening was Ollie Crouch a young performer from Matilda who had a stunning voice! Constant hair tucking whilst she was speaking but not whilst she was singing luckily, she was wearing a very short dress and when she climbed up on to her bar stall she had on the stage the first time there was nearly some knicker flashing but she managed to save herself just in time and sat down more carefully after that! She had written down different songs on bits of paper and put them in a jar and got audience members to pick out some of the songs that she would sing that evening (she called the jar her 'Love Box' and amused herself greatly by asking members of the audience to stick their hand in her Love Box). Craig Adams on the piano who I had met about 13 years ago when he was Joseph in the UK tour and I was in the choir, he still has the same haircut! Met Kerry afterwards and managed to get a photo where I look a bit like Hagrid! Lovely venue have never been there before but definitely plan to go there again!

Just been to see this and really enjoyed it, the first film is one of my favourite films ever so this film had a lot to live up to. Really loved the cast of the young dynamos, Jessica Keenan Wynn is fabulous as Young Tanya, she really could have been a younger version of Christine Baranski. Really enjoyed the more obscure Abba songs that I was less familiar with as well as the songs they had reused from the previous film, Super Trooper was a particular highlight for me! Can't wait to see it again and I am about to pre-order the DVD!

This is my younger sister Nessarose, as you can see, she looks two decades older than me It was a traumatic birth with the fifth assistant midwife off that evening. These posts made me laugh way more than they should have done, really we're lucky KRJ had left before Aimee Fisher joined!

Just got home from the matinee! Really enjoyed myself, the cast were great, spotted a few muck ups in act 1 (there may have been more but I probably haven't seen the show enough to spot them all!) I remembered another one, after Dear Old Shiz when Elphaba asked what they were all staring at they all pointed at her. Sorry but I remembered yet another one... Again in the Oz Dust Ballroom, when Elphaba is dancing and Glinda says 'may I cut in?' one of the boys (don't remember who) shouted 'I wish you would'.

Oooo thanks itsemily ! Loved the swings being in the scene I’m not sure I’ve heard of that one before! I think the things you pointed out at the end are all standard with the exception of Bradley and Olivia. The swings didn't get to come out and bow at the end though which I thought was a shame!

Just got home from the matinee! Really enjoyed myself, the cast were great, spotted a few muck ups in act 1 (there may have been more but I probably haven't seen the show enough to spot them all!) - When Nicholas Corre shouted 'Galinda' during NOMTW he held the note on for a really long time.
- During What Is This Feeling & The Ozdust Ballroom the swings were up on the platforms at the sides in costume singing and attempting to dance as much as they could in the small space. We had the girls on our side.
- In Dancing Through Life Bradley sung 'find the most beautiful guy in the room' and picked up Will Lucas.
- When Glinda's two friends were helping her to get ready Danny Michaels came on with them too.
- At the end of popular whilst the beds where being wheeled off Sophie lay on Glinda's bed flapping her legs open and closed.
There was also a few were I wasn't sure if they were muck ups or if I just hadn't noticed/remembered them from before: - During NOMTW, after the bit with the Witches Mother and the Young Wizard as he went down into the lift he ran his hand down the front of her skirt until he disappeared from view.
- As the mob ran forward at the beginning of NOMTW they shot a load of streamers into the audience.
- Also during NOMTW Bradley picked up Olivia Holding and spun her round.
- James McHugh had his afro out, (last time we were at the show he had his hair in a bun, I don't know if the afro was out especially for the matinee or if that is just how he wears his hair now) .

Anyone going to cast change on Saturday? Thread seems a bit quiet about it, but I suppose fewer principal cast members are leaving than usual so that maybe why? I'm going to the matinee!

Bam. I’ve never booked anything so fast before. Great news! Ditto! Making my mum come with me as in my haste to book I couldn't be bothered to ask any of my friends, pretty much just told my mum she was going and made her pick a date and booked (13th of October). Didn't tell her what it was about or anything, don't plan on telling her either, she may be shocked when we get there!

a FB-friend once posted they overheard a couple at Tarzan the musical that they thought the show included real gorillas and they were so proud to have smuggled some bananas through security 🤣 The other day my friend asked me if 'Cats' had real cats in it, I said 'no their actors and dancers' and she said 'but there's real cats in it too right?' , 'no there is really not, how would that work?' to which she said 'they could just let them out of their cat boxes to stroll round the stage as they like'. Sounds safe I mean who wouldn't want to trip over some fat tabby cat who decided to nap in the middle of the stage during the Jellicle ball! I had a spare copy of the 'Cats' DVD which I gave her a few years ago, clearly she never watched it!
