My next door neighbour was telling me today he was trying to book for Jan/Feb of next year and said there were only a few seats showing for every single performance. I thought this was a bit odd so just looked myself and it's true. I've tried ATG and Operation Mincemeat website and it's the same. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Got plenty of gang members where I live but I'm not sure what their acting and singing is like.

Thought this was a well written article and I very much agree with a lot of it especially the mention of Crazy For You not doing well and the section about artistic directors.

I saw this at Southwark Playhouse years ago. Don't remember much about it but think it was a bit bonkers.
I also think that Jordan is a talented performer but he seems to be in everything these days but I'm sure his fans will.be happy.

I much preferred Roger Allam to Doug Hodge. The less said about Graham Norton the better… And did anyone see Barrowman?

The word is that it’s one of if not _the_ biggest advance for any Regents Park show ever. Which slightly surprises me given it’s not *that* long since it was done in London and it’s not the most well known musical. I know a lot of people know American film The Birdcage but it’s not a film of the musical itself - apart from I Am What I Am I doubt many non-MT people could name another song. And especially after last year feels like they put a lot of people off coming back (When I asked if someone fancied it they responded “Oh but everything there is so s**t! Did you see Legally Blonde and the terrible 101 Dalmatians?!”) Good for them all the same and I hope it’s a hit. Longer than you think. It was 2008 so 15 years ago since it was at The Playhouse Theatre which transferred from the Menier.

Rob Houchen last night in Aspects of love He posted a picture last night with some of the cast after the performance. I think Alex Parker was also in the pic so he would have also been in the audience.

I know Merrily We Roll Along which was at the Comedy Theatre (now Harold Pinter) used to claim to have had more 5 star reviews than any west end musical ever so maybe this has taken away its crown. And that ended up hugely papering by the end of its run... Which just shows that rave reviews do not guarantee financial success. Crazy For You is another example.

Next stop - Olivier Awards? Might get to see it again then, depending on the prices. I did love it, so would be happy to go back. Is it really the best reviewed show in West End history?! I know Merrily We Roll Along which was at the Comedy Theatre (now Harold Pinter) used to claim to have had more 5 star reviews than any west end musical ever so maybe this has taken away its crown.

I have been keen to see this for a while but was also considering taking my 5 year old daughter. The website says no under 4's but I wonder if someone that's seen it could say whether it's suitable for young kids. She loves dance and sat through an amateur dance production for a couple of hours completely transfixed, so I thought it might be nice for her to see a big production. Thanks! Both times I've seen it there were quite young children there sitting near me and they loved it. It moves along very fast so they won't get a chance to get bored. One child on Thursday has such an infectious laugh and giggled all the way through much to our amusement.

To be honest as long as they aren't 10 years old and can sing and act I don't really care about age differences.

A technical question that I'm hoping someone can help with. I noticed that Charlie Stemp has what looks like a hearing aid behind his right ear. I'm guessing this is some kind of radio mic as you can see a little mic under his ear. None of the other cast have this so just wondering if I am right. I'm guessing he can't wear the usual mic which goes up their back and through their hair due to the quick costume changes and the wig changes.

The gays love a bit of tap and, to be honest, the musical is very cheesy and camp.

I'm tempted to book for one of the days when Charlie is on holiday as it would be really interesting to see how his understudy tackles the role.

And the cast just performed "We're in the money. I know I'm biased but it's pretty p**s poor compared with Drury Lane. No offence to the cast. Guess I was just spoilt with Drury Lane production.

Samantha Womak and Faye Tozier are on This Morning talking about the show. Alison Hammond said she thoughts the tap was "sound effects". Sorry but this woman is a total embarrassment and an idiot.

Saw this a few days ago and thoroughly enjoyed it - but didn’t LOVE it. Charlie Stemp is a star. I knew that going in having seen him in various things, but he just doesn’t disappoint. He’s funny, he’s cheeky, he’s likeable, and - of course - he just amazes with the dance routines. Still highly enjoyable, but very much due to Charlie Stemp and the full company choreographed numbers. And he seems to be having so much fun with the character- especially when he's mimicking Zindler. The slapstick routine with the 2 Zindlers is both hilarious and extremely clever.

What happened to West End Whingers? I've not heard from them in a long time. Loved their reviews and their ratings were the "Strallomitor"

I loved it! I was sat in the back stalls, which I loved. Great view. It was freezing though as I was right next to all the air-con, I ended up with 3 blankets and I usually run hot! The cast were all amazing, especially Adelaide, Skye and Nathan. I would have lost a few songs, but overall it just works - the evolving scenery is incredible. I remember seeing blankets on some seats and wondered what they were there for. Mind younthe theatre is very good and warn people in advance.

2nd visit last night. Row F centre stalls and great view. Front stalls section floor actually bounces when they dance. Went to try one of the front row seats before the show started to see what they are like. Stage is high and I'm 5.6 so would have difficulty in seeing anything from probably knee down. I am becoming slightly obsessed with Charlie Stemp and when he is on stage (which is most of the show) I can't stop watching him. The guy oozes loveliness and how he can dance like that 8 shows a week is beyond me. He is the sort of person who you would love to have as a mate. Think I need to see this show once a week to cheer me up. Just hope it gets the audience it so deserves.

Alex Parker at Crazy For You Thursday night
He was talking to a group of people outside at the end, one was an actor I've seen in a few musicals but don't know his name.

Apparently Bryan Cranston was in the audience last night. And Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones last week.

Yes it's not going to be cheap. My tickets for the cancelled show were £120 each nut they were good stalls seats with programme, ice cream and drink thrown in. But I've resigned myself to pay quite a bit for this as I've never seen Dolly before and love Imelda Staunton.

Staunton is not a Dolly Levi in any shape or form. It needs brash, brassy and sassy - she's none of those. I disagree. She was all of those in Gypsy

I've watched the first episode and it's excellent. Really surprised that it has had hardly any advertising and I could have easily missed it.

I really hope that was well as Imelda we get Charlie Stemp for this show. I believe extra dances were given to him on Broadway so would be great to see him in this.

Agree with above. I sat in E and it was perfect. On Thursday I am sitting a row behind in F. I believe the rake starts in E so C and D (first 2 rows) are more on the level.

I saw this last night. My seat didn't offer the best view- if fact I could see anything far stage right- however it was given to me, so I can't complain. It was my first time at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. Looking around it remained me of the theatre in Chichester where Assassins played. When I first came to London backpacking with my best mate, we saw the production that was playing at the Prince Edward Theatre, with Ruth Henshall. The theatre was full last night and they lapped it up. This is the first thing that I've seen Charlie Stemp in. Geez he's good! Tapping away and making the whole thing look effortless. I found the couple who were reviewing the hotel a tad annoying. I get that they were a comedy duo put in for laughs but I felt that they didn't actually add anything to the story. Other than that, I couldn't fault this production. Particular mention to the male ensemble. I didn't buy a programme however I didn't recognise any of them from anything else and they were all different shapes and sizes, some with facial hair, other without. (Despite that intense gale force wind) a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the theatre! If you saw 42nd Street at Drury Lane you might have recognised one of the ensemble. Philip Bertolini. He played the "Juvenile lead" for part of the run and also in the filmed recording.
