I got offered tickets for this but as I have zero interest in fashion I declined. Mind you the seats I were offered ranged from over £200 to £650 and that was for upper circle or balcony.

Oh what a shame for them - I guess reviews will trickle out slowly over the next couple of weeks then, as the press slot in when they can. And especially sad given the sun today and predicted sun tomorrow. On that note, I notice that tonight is sold out and tomorrow night is basically sold out too - they must get mobbed with last minute bookings once the weather forecast looks relatively assuredly nice! I have a friend going tonight who told me it was "media" night as opposed to press night, so guess its for the bloggers and floggers or whatever they are called.

I always get the Thomas brothers mixed up. They all look the same. So was Ryan the one who did Corrie, Big Brother and Celeb Masterchef? I didn’t realise he had a similar looking brother! I have a feeling there might even be 3. I only know him from Corrie. He was Jason Grimshaw and left to go to Thailand where, apparently he still lives as Eileen went to seen him recently and came back thinner and a new haircut.

I enjoyed that musical. Saw it at Trafalgar Studios a few years ago with Daniel Boys and Julie Atherton. That's the one. I managed to get a Broadway cast recording. I've got the London one.

I was quite pleased with the first names as I actually knew who they were but I'm now having to Google the more recent ones.

I'd like to see this again in London but can't see it going into a big theatre as mentioned above. It's not well known at all so wouldn't fill a big venue. I loved it at the NT, sat to watch it as I'm too old to wander around on the dancefloor. The way it's been transformed means that the capacity of the Broadway Theatre has gone down from 1700 to 1099 seats. Drury Lane's flexibility means it could easily transform that space with a similar capacity. I'm sure it could be transformed easily but would it sell? That's the problem. But, as I said just now, I'd love to see this again.

Some tracks from the John Grobin and Annaleigh Ashford version of Sweeney Todd have been released and wondered what people thought of it. I'm always glad of a new recording of Sweeney so glad it's being released. Josh Grobin sounds in fine form but I'm not too sure about Annaleigh Ashford. Probably better to see live I'm sure. The problem is that we have 2 iconic recordings of Sweeney with Angela Lansbury and Julia Mackinzie and to a lesser extent Imelda Staunton so it's difficult to compare this. I think the problem I have is with her accent. It's kind of allover the place. One minute it's kind of Cockley, then a bit of TOWIE and even a bit of the sister in Stef Let's Flats (Cypriot). But at least its not as bad as Patti who sounded more Irish than English and half a dozen other accents thrown in for good measure.

After listening to the 2 tracks released I've taken the plunge and booked for the first show. Based on those two songs I think I will like it and any chance to see Linzi is good to me.

I just had a look at prices. Can only sit in stalls and they are silly money. After all it's a very niche musical with a lead mainly known within MT circles and by the looks of things there hasn't been a big rush for tickets. I'm also going to wait and if not reduced will give it a miss.

Further to the comments upthread, does it count as immersive if your seat kept shaking during I Got Rhythem? I was sat front row so I assume that doesn't happen when sat further from the stage. I enjoyed the production but I didn't love it as I did the Regent's Park production. Charlie Stemp is certainly the stand out. It's a pity he wasn't born a few decades earlier, when there were far more shows around suited to his talents. I remember the Fodors being somewhat annoying but not nearly as annoying as in this production, where I found them almost unbearable. They also seem to have changed from being siblings to a married couple. I've sat in row E and row F and the floor bounces there too during the tap routines. I loved it.

I've been to a few very good concerts including Songs for a New World, Dr zhivago and Bonnie & Clyde. They were really well done. But I've seen a few, for example Sweet Charity at Cadogan Hall which was clearly under rehearsed and cast reading from scripts. The ones I've seen produced by Fourth Wall seem to be very good.

Wolf: well, after epi 1 this looks original and completely bonkers - fast-paced and quirky, though in a manageable way so far. Serval stagey people to recognise, inc. Juliet Stephenson, him off Game of Thrones and him also off Game of Thrones: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/p0frxgnv/wolfJust watched episode 1 and it's bonkers. Not a clue what's going on. The trailer for episode 2 at the end was even madder. Saying that I'm enjoying it.

Can we all agree that Dev is the worst actor on Corrie by a mile? Those stupid voices and accents and his attempt to be funny. Thank god Maureen Lipman is back in a couple of weeks time.

I'd happily see Crazy for You once a fortnight and then possibly be able to tolerate my work colleague for the 2 weeks before I lose my sanity and see it again.

Does anyone remember a time a little while back where there was talk of trying to put this show on yet despite open casting calls they couldn't find enough male dancers? Personally I think that was a bit of an unfounded rumour. I've often heard that as an excuse but it's rubbish as we have plenty of great young dancers which has been proven with 42nd Street and now Newsies.

I'd have loved to have been there but probably would have cried through most of it as I did for the last performance of 42nd Street. I was lucky to see it 4 times including one of the first previews and the original last night which ended up just being last night for some of the cast due to the extensions. It really was a joy to watch even with the trek to Wembley and I look forward to it's return somewhere next year.

Maybe none of the cast were any good at dodgy French accents so they have stuck to their own. Or we would be having comments about the terrible French accents.
