Happy birthday George! Just repeating what everyone has said about it being a lovely, warm, delightful show and how amazing the Menier is - can't wait to hear your thoughts!

America seriously needs to update its system and let go of the electoral college.
Everyone's own political opinions aside, this is one of the main issues with their political system. You speak the truth!

You're wrong there, NBC's Sound of Music did air here on Channel 4 about 4 months after it went out but it wasn't really received particularly well so I presume that's why it's not happened since

When I go, I might close my eyes for that first section with those god-awful wigs and just listen - that first wig (and that dress) are just horrendous (SARCASM WARNING).
In all seriousness, I think this production could just benefit with far more money behind it

Rehearsals began today so now it's just a waiting game until the cast is announced - it does seem likely that Evelyn Hoskins will be involved because she's been liking tweets about rehearsals for this starting and because John Barr tweeted her earlier wishing her luck on her 'first day in Neverland'.
I'm definitely exciting to see the cast PTM has assembled for this!

Feel free to merge this if a thread already exists but my search failed to find one. This is quoted from the website.
'Take an unforgettable journey through the Neverland you never knew this Christmas, as the Royal stage is transformed for the much-anticipated European Premiere of Peter And The Starcatcher.
Winner of five Tony Awards for its hugely successful run on Broadway, this fascinating and funny prequel brings one of classic literature’s most beloved characters to life.
Join Starcatcher apprentice Molly as she embarks on a daring mission to stop a precious cargo of stardust from falling into the wrong hands. And meet a very special orphan and help solve the mystery of how he became ‘the boy who never grew up’.
Twelve actors playing more than 100 characters use ingenious stagecraft, inventive storytelling and live music to whisk audiences to a magical world of lost boys, pirates, and mermaids.
This brand new production is directed byLuke Sheppard whose hit show In The Heights, was recently nominated for nine WhatsOnStage Awards, and whose recent credits include The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole Aged 13 ¾ at Curve Leicester, Oliver! at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury, and The Adventures Of Pinocchio at The Castle Theatre Wellingborough.
A co-production with Paul Taylor Mills | Director Luke Sheppard | Set DesignerDavid Woodhead | Costume DesignerGabriella Slade | Lighting DesignerHoward Hudson | Musical Director Tom Attwood | Movement Director TomJackson-Greaves | Casting Director Polly Jerrold
Written by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker. It was originally produced on Broadway by Nancy Nagel Gibbs, Greg Shaffert, Eva Price, Tom Smedes, and Disney Theatrical Productions. It is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Limited on behalf of Music Theatre International.'
A strong and solid rumour for casting of the main female role Molly is Evelyn Hoskins - she's been involved with both Peter Pan and PTM's work before and she's been with him recently, and tweeted a gif this evening from Peter Pan

Are the understudies, Natalie McQueen and Matthew Harvey, on stage for regular performances as well? I keep seeing photos of the 6 of them taking bows. And just today I saw this tweet saying there was someone else, Natalie Law, on as well. Do they also serve as ensemble then? I used to think this was just a 4 people show. Nat and Matt just walk on to move just around and, I presume, add backing vocals to full cast numbers like You Belong To Me (Reprise)

I guess there's a limit as to what they can photograph because they don't want to give anything away as it's a very twisty turny story. Is the twist that there are really only three people and a shadow à la Identity Crisis? No, not at all...

Kylie is known for not being able to sing live (similarly to Britney) so I don't actually think she'd be great for a musical

So clever, this one! I can totally see Ashley Day as Buddy. I love Louise and I think she'll kill the singing, but I'm struggling to place her as young, naive and green. Who is she playing, Alice Ripley or Emily Skinner (the only way I identify these two characters). I believe she's Emily Skinner. Indeed she is. That's also the only way I can identify them

What annoys me is how the papers and journalists always say "Sarah Harding looks refreshed after her West End debut". Like it isn't the west end so it shows how they don't always 100% know what they are talking about You'll come to realise soon enough that the papers really don't have any clue at all, they just want to sell copies, they don't care if the info they're giving out is correct or accurate so long as they get their (very biased) point of view across. It's no surprise at all that they have marketed Sarah incorrectly, it also wouldn't surprise me if they did it on purpose, 'West End debut' sounds far more flashy than 'she's touring, which she's done a million times over before in GA'. Just a typical thing the papers do

If you're into Broadway goings on, Patty and Emily do a great podcast called Listen. It's often full of expletives and they also talk about some serious stuff in America but I find them very enjoyable
when they are dark, there is no money being made from ticket and merchandise sales to pay them thus they loose money
Trust me, they aren't losing money by not having the theatre have a show in. CamMack is anything but strapped for cash so they will most definitely not be struggling for money

I am finding it remarkable how nothing has been confirmed for the Noel Coward!! The theatre is now dark and that is a terrible situation for any theatre to be in and with no show confirmed, I wouldn't be surprised if another show goes into there until October to build up promotion. It's hardly that big of a deal that's it's gone dark, it's not really a 'terrible situation', I think you're overexaggerating a bit there

I've always thought it should go to the Menier For how long an "always"? Do you mean the Michael Meyer 2013 Broadway version? No, just the show in general. Since I became aware of it, I thought the Menier would be a perfect venue
