Everything has gone incredibly quiet on this production’s Social and Website!
Why haven’t we got cast photos like last year yet?
All a bit strange!
On the plus side a few leaked pictures of the set I have found online! Snowy Theme this year!

How many sets are there currently in the world for BOM?
Trying the figure out which set they’ll use for the UK Tour - can’t use the Australian set since it continues until late July 2019 so therefore the productions will clash !

My main concern is hopefully there being a cast board due to swings, children etc. There probably will be one but I'm paranoid there won't be so I won't definitely know who I'm seeing. Got a friend seeing tonight (and the private dress rehearsal earlier today) and apparently there are no children from what I have heard. The Factory Walls are a cleverly painted drop without a door. The Set is simplier version of London, but Not like the China Set.

From looking at numerous Instgram posts/stories regarding swing maps and set builders, the Tour has the set like the current China Tour. NOT like the full London set It’s a shame since it’s first (and maybe last) UK Tour

What am I missing here? I have not listened to the entire OCR but those songs I have heard do nothing for me. I am thrilled for those people who are excited by this - but will it resonate beyond those who already know the score? The movie it is based on is certainly not a known quantity. It sounds like a chamber scale show in a large-ish house - which will only make it more of a challenge to sustain. I may well be wrong - and that is fine. It is good to see new shows coming into the West End. But I just find it hard to see how it will establish itself. What is a “chamber scale show”?

So The Savoy is still the main mystery. it's going to be a limited run of a musical pre-tour. Any hints on what show? new/classic/american?

Nothing is happening until it's formally announced, and things can change at any point up to that moment. But at this moment in time, they've got a venue pencilled and it isn't the DoY. What venue then?

Well i presume the following theatres will be free. Palladium Drury Lane (refurb) Adelphi Savoy Picadilly (Strictly won’t last sadly) Shaftesbury (refurb) Garrick Queens (refurb) Ambassadors (refurb) Dominion Phoenix (Come From Away) Wyndams (refurb) Duke of York (Dear Evan Hanson) Show rumours are - Mary Poppins, DEH, Moulin Rouge, Titanic, Officer and Gentleman, Frozen, My Fair Lady, Band’s Visit, Martin Guerre, Mean Girls, Waitress, Anastasia, Me and My Girl, Only Fools and Horses, 9 to 5... and of course Les Mis (and possibly Mamma Mia) moving again. what else? That’s a very different West End for next year!! DEH isn't going to the Duke of York's. Where is DEH going then? Is it definitely transferring?

If it's the same set from Southampton then it would be the mirror coming up from the pit, the dragon and I swear there was one more that I can't remember. The dwarfs house was the same in Birmingham and there are photos online of that just Google image it They’ll certainly build a new set like the have done previously! Julian Clary is the mirror so no doubt he’ll fly in on a huge sparkling mirror!

I do wonder what they'll do for Snow White! Could be anything I suppose as they aren't always related to the plot. I’m sure the Palladium Effect will stay true to the plot, like they’ve done in previous years (Flying Carriage, Fariy, Rat and London Bus)! This year I’m guessing a dragon? Maybe? I’m guessing the Dwarfs house will be a huge set piece? Maybe like the house in Mary Poppins?

When I won the lottery I didn’t have the option of choosing seats and only found out where I would be sitting when I picked up my tickets. It’s definitely worth booking though, I was given row G stalls. Do they actually ask for ID?

I understand that you get Band A tickets - do you get to choose the seats?

I never got the disdain for I Can’t Sing. I understood how and why it flopped, but I went with all the girls from work and we had a fantastic time. One of them ended up going back four or five times with various other friends and family. Why did it flop?

I’ll have to try and catch this at the Playhouse. Hopefully tickets will be nice and cheap/affordable. Is it same producers as last time or is it a Kenwright/Selladoor style production? No info is know about that yet....

Intresting how its only doing a week in each venue I wonder which bus this tour will use hoping it's the Second tour bus. But I wonder if we could be getting a completely new production of the show or we may be borrowing the Australian tour set What’s the difference between the 1st and 2nd tour bus?

I’m so confused!! Why is Marianne Benedict now ‘Company’?? I thought she was Mrs Wormwood!l Why is Laura Denning now Mrs Wormwood? What’s going on? Were we ever told? From Twitter I think Lara is doing a brief stint. Maybe Marianne is having some time off and to avoid confusion over who is playing Mrs Wormwood they have listed her as company for the time being? How come they didn’t announce it?

Hi Everyone,
I’m thinking about creating a book with photography of all the stage doors of theatres in the West End! In this book there will obviously be the pictures as well as some information about each theatre!
I am seeking any thoughts and opinions towards this book and feel free to say anything! This project is just in the beginnings so just wanted to hear what people thought about this idea!
So far, I’ve compiled a list 45 theatres I would like to include. I need some help deciding which off-west end theatres to include (remember they need a stage door!)! Any suggestions?
Thank you for any comments you post and it would be very helpful to say if you’d buy the book when it becomes available!
I’m more than happy to answer any questions on this thread or on private messages!
Thanks! Happy Theatring!

How do they even do that crystal curtain that flies into a circle?? If you watch the ‘Dreamgirls Fit-up’ on the Savoy’s Vimeo page you’ll see. Basically, it’s lots of little black poles that, with the help of automation, lift up the individual chains of crystals. With this, they can lift each separate chain into its own height, making the circle!

Not sure about Jennifer Hudson as Grizabella. I was hoping for someone a bit older, who could convey the fragility and the sadness of the character. Loving the idea of Sir Ian McKellen as Gus, though. I wonder which character will get the new song? Or will it be an ensemble number? The new song was apparently written for Victoria (the white cat) and Lloyd Webber is no thinking about expanding the score and writing some more songs for the film.
