I have a feeling Jordan Fox may get Charlie on the tour, he has more than proven himself as the London cover!

I'd love for Jordan to get the tour, would miss him in London but the tour would be great for him. I've already booked to see the tour twice but if Jordan got it I'd book more instantly.

I believe Jordan is staying as Harry/Cover Charlie in London. Win/win if I book London and get Jordan or Olly!

Will the UK/Ireland Tour set be similar to the 1st US Tour set or the second tour? The second tour set is more simple and easier to tour with, but since it is the first UK tour maybe they will splash out on the set?
Also, why are tours of musicals more frequent (ie more than 1 tour in a few years) than shows in th UK.?

I hadn't even realised that the tour in the US had gone from a 1st to a 2nd tour, when did it change ? and what are the differences in the set ? I've seen a video of the tour online before and it looks identical to Broadway.

The sides of the factory and fashion show aren’t diagonal like the set we know. The set has more borders and flats so they can be transported and rigged easily. (Sorry, I would insert pictures but I don’t know how to!)

It also looks like, from pictures that I’ve seen, the fairly realistic flat of the outside of the factory is just a projection on tour? Am I correct?

Given that the Australian tour closed recently, would they potentially using the set from that?

Given that the Australian tour closed recently, would they potentially using the set from that? Certainly an option I would think they'd consider. If they could also get Callum Francis to reprise the role of Lola that would go down very well with me.

I believe it’s the cheaper US Non-Equity version of the show that’s going out on tour. This version also doesn’t have any kids.

It is the Toronto set that is touring the UK. so it will be identical to the London set. The show will feature local children playing the roles of young Lola and young Charlie. And some venues I;e opening venue Royal and Derngate will have the band under the stage but no pit visible to the audience. But the set is the same as what we see in London with a few minor changes, like the shoes in the first number will be wheeled on from the wings.

Given that the Australian tour closed recently, would they potentially using the set from that? it's certainly a feasible option! All of the set and costume pieces used in the Australian production (which in turn were shipped from Toronto) were then sent to the German production of the show in Hamburg. Unless that production is closing before the start of the UK tour, I assume it will be a new set created for the tour. Probably the same original design but replacing the automation with hand winches, like the tour of Beautiful has done. I assume it will be more like the US tour version "1.5" when they re-teched the show so that it could load in and out faster. They removed a lot of the hard flats (i.e the sliding factory walls/The light mirror wall from the finale) and replaced it with painted scrims and LED curtains. They since simplified the set even more once it went non-equity, removing all Hard surfaces all together.

Looks like this is the equivalent of the hard flat that they're using on the newest US tour... link

Still no Cardiff?? Trip to Bristol for me then. They still haven’t announced where the tour is going during August 2019! There seems to be some strange gap between the Sunderland Empire (24 June - 6 July 2019) and then Mayflower Southampton (3-14 September 2019)! Maybe there is a possibility that the tour is visiting Dublin and Cardiff during August - maybe the theatre haven’t confirmed yet so they can’t tell the public yet.

No venues announced in or around London seems to imply it will stay around in London for a little while longer.

Great to see Sheffield on the list. Hope they know where it is though, the map they released had the Sheffield marker in Lincoln!

I'm quite surprised we got the show in Glasgow. Usually the big tours that do a month run in Edinburgh, never make it to Glasgow other than odd exception like Wicked a few years ago.

They could easily add quite a few more venues into the gaps alone so I'd expect Cardiff and Dublin will be added/announced at some point. Also has Southampton been confirmed as the last venue? If not then there's obviously potential for the show to visit those venues after Southampton. Already booked for Bristol, may have to add Oxford and Southampton onto that, going to try and hold off booking those until we get a casting announcement though.
