Any ideas about who could play King George. Do you think they want the higher pitched tenor of Jonathan Groff or someone who could sing it a touch lower. Or think Jonathan may come over himself?

I want to know why for years LMM was filming himself. x years from opening, 18 months, etc. who does that? Dramatic effect?

Meanwhile, I am excited for Cinderella, the actual thread. Less than 2 months now.

LOL. They are not even featured on the poster. Obviously Cinderella is Cinderella.

It was a terrible production and miscast and misdirected. Potts played too much to the audience and was obnoxious in my opinion. You can see it on YouTube.

I saw Rachel in this quite a few time in London and I am sorry but this does not sound nearly as goood as it used to. I barely understand the first half of the clip and then its just shouty.

So what did it go an hour and a quarter? Pretty high prices for that.

That is why so many seats are available. Way too expensive.

I think this is fairly disappointing casting considering the hype and history of pantomime at the Palladium - O'Grady, Havers and Clary are panto regulars. I like the casting. But you can always go see John Barrowman, David Hasselhoff or Marti Pellow if you want other names.

Get on that venom train and off the weight train.
But having seen the show I totally disagree with both of you. And cannot wait to book for Lee Mead (sweaty and all) in his next show. His performance is quite not panto and in fact very reseved. But if you do not like him to begin with, you will make a comment about this. The paid press does not agree with you.
But to each his own.

Carrie does not look matronly. That is just silly. And I think its great to see that someone who actually looks normal can be one of the stars of a production. The world is not made up of tiny skinny people, she is healthy.
Carrie and Lee together look gorgeous. Lee is very dashing in those outfits, especially the car scene, and they both sing the heck out of the production.
Lee is the handsome caring father who children can relate to and women feel for and want to make happy who sings and dances phantastically. Perfect in the part. As is Carrie. Doll In a Music Box/Truly Scrumptious is so wonderful with feeling. All the emotions are conveyed. Though I loved Me Ole Bamboo and Hushabye Moutain is epic.
And to the poster who said no one would say Jason was fat, he just did himself.

I just listened to the recordings and I do feel that she was better a few years ago. I loved her then now it seemed just a bit more shouty. But doing the role so many years, even with a break, messes with your voice.

It will never fill the Palladium with Alfie or anyone, just especially Alfie. Its not LM. It could do well at a 1200 seat theatre not bigger.

Personally I hate blind comments. Either say something or do not. Either say XYZ production is looking for a house to transfer but say nothing if you share nothing.

He was in Finding Neverland before it opened on Broadway. He was in Boston run and then for the Broadway run they replaced him with Matthew Morrison. They then brought in Alfie Boe who I thought was all signed on to open it in London (very bad casting that).
He is still in Supergirl however, so I do not know if he really could do a London run.

Yes it is. They took out the childcatcher song and put in Lovely Lonely Man. It works much better. I loved the show. Lee Mead and Carrie Hope Fetcher are wonderful in their parts. Matt Gillett as the childcater is terrific.

No one is being forced to see it. If you do not agree with the casting go to a different one, if a panto at all. There are certainly many to choose from. I saw Aladdin last year in Birmingham and it was terrific so I am looking forward to it.

I saw From Here to Eternity and cannot place him. Can you please tell me who he played. I know it was not Pruitt or Maggio and they are really the only characters I can remember (aside from the Sgt.)
