Lee is having a Christmas Concert on December 3rd at the Harold Pinter Theatre. He has announced that Natasha Barnes will be one of the guests. His concerts are usually wonderful and Natasha will be a great guest.

Natasha has just been announced as Lee Mead's guest at his Christmas show on December 3 at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Two fabulous voices.

They never lowered the prices last year and it was far from a childrens show. Between Julian and Paul doing their thing and Paul Zerden doing his entire act on stage plus, there really was no time for the Prince or Cinderella. They never got to sing anything really. Then the Salvation Army number instead of the wedding was horrible in my opinion. Lee Mead and Natasha Barnes as the Prince and Cinderella were never on. Taking liberties with Cinderella is known in pantos but they should have had some semblance of a story with them. Forgot to add, because I want to forget her, Amanda Holden was the Fairy Godmother who got way to much stage time.

Worth mentioning that Jay Records is releasing a double title Evita/Sunset Boulevard studio cast recording with Ria Jones as Norma, Matt Bogart as Joe, and Laura Pitt-Bulford as Betty. Not sure who is singing Max. Not sure who is in the Evita tracks. End of September. I am confused, I thought Danny Mac was Joe to Ria's Norma.

The original Broadway production starred Roger Bart and he was totally lost in the role. He was manic all the time. No charisma at all. That is half the battle and Hadley has it. The the Broadway production was pretty bad anyway.

No Anne Hathaway!!!!!!!!!
I have listened to Jake's voice on YT. Nothing special. But at least he could play dissoute down on his luck. Not really a Luke Evans part. But its one thing for a 30 year age difference on stage and another with film. Unless they film the entire role through a filter.

Theatre people are riding the Broadway/London wave with this. Glenn Close cannot sell a movie on her own. What comes across as a brilliant performance on the stage may not transfer as well to the screen. I know everyone raves about her, but she really cannot sing. Never could. Off the top of your head, aside from Fatal Attraction, name one movie of hers. You are comparing her selling power to those of Disney movie and the charasmatic pairing of Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Glenn in the movie would need a very strong supporting cast. With recognizeable names. And a strong Joe who can sing and act.

I hope they have redone the book. And the staging. The entire Broadway show is on YT and not really all that great. Especially the Putting On The Ritz number. It was just wrong. For me I think the prices are a bit too high.

My credit card has expired since I bought my Hamilton ticket. I knew I didn't need to worry as the FAQ said that I would be contacted in advance to register my new details. However I decided I would contact them first as I like things to go smoothly. Tried a few times but always got held in a queue for ages and gave up. I've just had a mail from Ticketmaster to say I have to call them to register new details and a number to call between 9-5 and they have given me 2 days to do it!!!!! That's really bad especially as I can't phone from work and don't get home till after 5 and only 2 days to do it. It doesnt say what will happen if I can't contact them. Anyone had the same problem? Can't you just update your card on Ticketmaster online. I have done that.

Its only a downgrade in that it was a throw in part, Gleb. I honestly cannot think of anything Ramin has done in the West End except various parts in both Phantom and Les Mis. Or Love Never Dies which again is Phantom. Last year's show at the arts was not exactly a blockbuster and it struggeled. I think he may be in a rather odd position as he is really only known for those two shows in various parts. He has made a career of them and his exercising.

Lloyd Webber did a closed workshop of Stephen Ward at The Other Palace a few months ago. Michael Xavier played Ward. Ah thanks, that's really interesting. Would love to see it again. It sort of sinked without trace in the West End. Book needed sorting and I wasn't a fan of the set really. But the ALW melodies I thought were generally fabulous and I often listen to the CD. After seeing MX in Sunset he certainly would not elevate it.

Really delighted to see the new names in this cast, and fair play to the team for not giving us reality tv tosh. The show itself is the star here, and given Lin Manuel Miranda's involvement in the casting process, I think anyone who is questioning the two Hamiltons just because they haven't heard of them is really missing the point. As IF Lin Manuel would have anyone who wasn't brilliant play the title role of his masterpiece. Can't wait to see it next year! I still think King George should have been more of a name. Someone well known in MT.

Next Michael Ball??? No. He has a pleasant enough voice but think of him as Marius? How can you smile through Empty Chairs. He is more a dancer than anything else but Michael Ball never. And I am not a big Michael Ball fan but its reality check time.

Well Charlie will smile and dance his way through. I am one of the few that thought that was all to his performance in HAS. Certainly will not pay 100 pounds for him.

Personally I like the scene played with clothes on. When I saw it the audience was so caught up in the little swimsuit no one payed attention to the song. Not that it was sung that great. Very meh. But talk about a difference in height. It works better in a tux. With a more dissolute attitude by the singer.

Who is to say that Nicole is not going to be Morrible, a part she is more suited to agewise.

Since you are mentioning this aspect of the show which I never liked. In the movie when Louise is talking to Julie she says he slapped her but it did not feel like anything at all and Julie agrees. Do they say this line because it does make it seem that beating your wife is ok because she does not feel it. Terrible.

The West End does not need American/Hollywood stars they just need to cast properly. This was horrible casting from the beginning. Alfie is wooden, Katherine not qualified. Even Alfie and Michael Ball's concert is not selling the way they expected in NY. Actually terrible.

So assuming it's a 12 month contract at cast change looks like we can rule out a return to Oz for a 3rd time* for Ms Ellis... www.heavenonearththemusical.co.uk/cast-creatives/kerry-ellis*assuming you count her return from Broadway as part of her original run! Damn... that's an Elphaba off my list! I wonder who they'll cast?! 😜 Who is going to riff more Kerry or Hugh???

Jason has been putting himself out there for it. Mentions it all the time. At the Olivers on Michael Ball if they do it, it sounds like its him. Not my favorite.

I just do not think Joseph lends itself to an arena no matter how they change the proportions. Its a small show.

Hopefully neither, the production that just finished touring was AWFUL - packed with useless, talentless celebs. Saw the first performance in Southampton - Michelle Collins and Martin Kemp were a disgrace and there were major technical problems. Let's put this rumour to bed pronto please! To be fair, there were cast changes, and from May to September, both leads (Caractacus and Truly) were played by musical theatre performers. Also, the ensemble were all musical theatre performers, as were the Child Catcher, the Spies and Grandpa Potts. In fact, the only roles filled by Celebs from May to September were the Baron and Baroness, so hardly a cast "packed with useless, talentless celebs..." Hard to picture Jon Robyns as terrible since he was the first Caractacus. He is very talented. If you saw Jason Manford maybe different, since he is not really a musical theatre performer and people were suprised Jason could carry a tune. When Lee Mead and Carrie Flecher were in it, they are bona fide musical theatre performers and it was very good and I enjoyed it. Actually the whole production was a tight running machine when I saw it and the ensemble was on point.

Weird thing with Nicole is she isnt right for the role in terms of age range and talent, but more to the point she isnt that big a star to make it worth casting her to sell tickets. She isnt exactly A list. Shes one of these people that keep trying to make themselves happen but never quite make it. Wicked and theatre fans will see it whatever so the point of casting a name is to get average theatregoers in and i dont see Nicole doing that Think that's abit harsh. She was lead singer of one of the biggest girl bands on the planet (only one people know from the Pussycat Dolls) and has judged numerous times on both The X Factor USA and UK meaning she is well known on both sides of the pond No not a big enough name in the US butt add in Wizzard-Hugh Jackman for all those that think he is perfect for every part, Fiyero either Harry Styles or Justin B and Morrible Meryl Streep = box office. Does anything else matter? Elphaba or Glinda - box office first please.

I love Hadley, but I cannot see him in this part, at all. Its a comedic part and you really have to have a light deft touch with charm. Roger Bart had no idea which way to go and was utterly charmless. Its just Hadley's parts have tended to be so dark.
The prices for the show, at the Garrick, are a bit on the high side too. They have to have offers. Its not the most comfortable theatre.

More expensive than Cinderella. 77.50 is the majority of stalls with higher available. Same for the Royal Circle you do not hit a cheap ticket until you are in the UC. If you can get the first row its 55.

Oh no he wasn't. I give you Lee Mead. Lee from the waist downward, with his tight trousers and nice ass, but from the waist up, Paul for sure! Disagree there Lee is just gorgeous. Paul is fine but no way sexy.
