Sadly going to miss this while its in Newcastle. However I saw one of the crew on the bus from town tonight and I hope everyone likes Malteaser easter eggs because by the looks of it they're all getting those.

It's a nine show week so Nikki is on tonight and Charli is on for the matinee tomorrow. I've treated myself to a trip to Liverpool and am very excited to report back to you all later on any subversive riffing activity... 😉 Nikki is a riffer 😂 So lots to report on, heard an audio of her going for an Ab on 'defyING gravity', which is a rare feat that has been pulled off by one other Elphaba. She's got some great acting though, so great I came out of the show last Wednesday declaring her my new favourite (Which is still standby)

If you delve further back into audios of Alice's standby days I'm sure the same girl was there berating Alice for not being Rachel Tucker.
EDIT: I looked back at some of this girls comments and she makes my worst comments look like constructive criticism. When Im really just excited about one Elphaba and one Elphaba only.

I am pretty fangirl, (I love the show, I tweet the cast, I scream over YouTube audios a lot and I won't go a single visit with going to stage door) but even I have to limit myself to how much I can see the show. Even if I lived in Victoria and had all the money in the world for tickets, I don't think my 6 shows (+1 tour) would be greatly increased.
The show helps me on a personal level and that's when I see the show, when I feel I need to. If I was personally seeing the show everyday, I'd be slightly worried for my mental health. (This is slightly deep, but my personal experience) I enjoy this show immensely but I know if it wasnt for the past few months being not the best, I probably wouldn't have been since December.

Does anyone know if the none ATG stops on this tour (specifically Leeds) will be offering Student tickets/or single seats because me and friends are road tripping there in June and they've all said in the past they want me to take them to Wicked (even the friend I've dragged to London twice to see it wants to go - but thats for Aaron Sidwell)

I really enjoyed that television performance and everything she was doing. Her facial expressions were incredible, even when sat in the front row you're never THAT close to Elphaba. However I just didn't connect and I just don't think she's my type of Elphaba and that's okay because I can still see she's bloody brilliant.

If Maria is the closest I'll get to Sophie Linder-Lee I'd be happy to see her one day. (Im not concentrating on the London production right now though, the tour is where my time and money is going)

I do wish I had of seen Rachel Tucker as Elphaba because I think I would have adored her. As for Glinda I always wanted to see Sophie Linder-Lee for the pure fact her full name is practically my full name but taking vanity aside - Suzie Mathers.
So pretty much, I wish I had of seen the 10th Anniversary cast but alas I got here late.

Sophie will stay? ok, another year without Wicked for me I could be completely wrong or things could change, but that's what I thought. Another year of scheduling around her off days. However I'm infatuated with the tour right now so, I'll probably not be paying that many visits to London until next January so its okay 😂

Even with Alice on the posters, people that book because of the advertising still have no guarantee of seeing Alice. Could easily get to the theatre and see Laura or Aimee. If Alice wants to leave, I'd love if she could do a half contract and then bring over a tour Elphaba (Nikki or Amy, it doesn't matter) I dont think Laura could handle 8 shows, not if want to keep that lovely voice of hers lovely.
Sophie will stay, she'll either take leave or negotiate the duration of the cruise out of the contract. She's young and she's not going to let her dream job go so easily. Same can be said for Alice, she auditioned 5 times to get to standby, then again for lead, I can't see her leaving all that hard work after a year.
I think Bradley is done, I'd be pleased either way if he wanted to stay or go. I just can't think of anyone I'd want to replace him without thinking of people already in committments.
Laura Pick, I'm not so sure about. I can see her stay because she clearly loves her job but at the same time I'm worried for her voice it sounds like it has no grit or resilience to it. Maria Coyne started in the middle of October (inc. rehersals) so she'll leave then because maternity is 52 weeks.

Team Elphaba can stay the same, but I'd love to see everyone but Samantha Thomas replaced on Team Glinda. I'd like to think I have a rough idea of what's going on with next year cast, but I'm not sharing because I'm probably way off.

I always love watching this discussion (I can't really partake Ive seen 3 Elphabas, two of which I've only seen once)
It's kinda fascinating how we can't all decide on best/favourite. I personally have two different rankings in my head, the quality of an Elphaba so how good their acting/singing is and how much I like them because 60% of a favourite Elphaba for me is an emotional connection. Then quality and then all the little things. So I can't really rank on seeing loads but so far the best quality Elphaba I've seen is certainly Alice Fearn, however because of the way Nikki Bentley makes me feel during and after a show she's probably going to end up favourite.

Was in Liverpool this morning, when going for breakfast with my friend we ended up seeing half the wicked touring cast having their own breakfast in the same cafe. So that was fun, especially after I saw them smash it last night.

Saw this evening in Liverpool. So was I! Sat front stalls in BB16. So impressed with this cast, I didn't know what to think because with the exception of Glinda, I adore the current London cast. However, every single person on that stage impressed me to no end. Helen Woolf as Glinda was the most well developed and thought out Glinda I've seen. Also she has that comedic timing and delievery down! (Which makes sense she's being playing it longest including her understudy days). Aaron Sidwell was delightful, very much played up the prince and not the winky, which isn't what I really like but he did his version of Fiyero amazing. Also I didn't expect him to be able to sing THAT well? Nikki Bentley, it's too early to say but she may just become my favourite greenie. She's clearly drawn inspiration from Alice who is my favourite, but she takes Alice's Elphaba tones down the shouting but turns up the anger and emotion. Her voice was beautiful and while Defying Gravity vity was riffed, it really worked. I can't believe I'm not seeing this cast again until Edinburgh.

Pretty sure Natasha Fergusion said on twitter she would be covering for Lulu. This should mean she's U/S Dorothy Brock? I can't really imagine Natasha covering that role, she's only in her early twenties. Although when you've covered Elphaba I suppose anything is possible. @tashafergonson92: Time to dust off my tap shoes and start my new adventure making my West End debut covering the incredible Lulu!! ❤️👯 #42ndStreet #WestEnd That's just what I took from this tweet of course I could be completely wrong. I'm sure someone will be along to correct us in the interval.

I love Alice as Elphaba but she needs to stop riffing the hell out of the score when I know for a fact she can sing the score beautifully with so much power instead of performing riffs that bring us out the song. I saw her do the music to score one Monday evening and its probably one the shows I liked best.
Also who signs off on these crazy riffs, because I sure wouldn't be signing off on that Wizard riff.

I know we have Shrek the musical, but has anyone considered instead, a musical based off the second Shrek film. Which is clearly the best of the Shrek films and should have been the one adapted anyway. Especially because the Fairy Godmother would make for such a stage character.

Track list released for her album. Completely what I expected all belty shouty songs with the exception of No One Else and Times are Hard For Dreamers, which along with Burn prove she just ripped of Phillipa Soo's career.

Christine Allado had a photo of her in a half finished Eliza costume on her instagram story on Monday(?). I know we have our typical 1st and 2nd covers, but could she be rehersing to be an additional Eliza cover, it wouldn't be the first time Peggy/Maria has covered Eliza (Sammie Ware in Chicago company). I really hope so because when I first hoped she was going to be cast in this showm I was hoping it was going to be as Eliza.

I think the fact this musical was first produced in 2003 is starting to show. Technology has advanced an awful lot since then and the fact that 15 years the technology is now starting to fail. (I know this is one tour that is not having a good record due to the fact it has to be moved)
If they could, I would love to see Wicked closed for 6 months and the effects over hauled. Say goodbye to that damned hydraulic lift.

I'll ring up the Sunderland Empire theatre about it soon. I'm really hoping they do because this is a show I've wanted to see for ages and getting a £5 ticket means I could see it for under £10 with my transport.

Started packing away my uni room (I have to clear it over easter for reasons unbeknownst to but I get money for clearing it so I win really.) and I saw just how much theatre stuff I've accumlated since I started here in October. I've seen 13 shows, which is an awful lot for me. I've been to London 5 times, got me feeling pretty grateful looking at all my programmes and tickets splayed out on the floor.

Looks strange, but effective. I think this tour might be getting a new lift soon though. Is this the set from the old UK Tour or another closed productions set? (One of Americas closed tours or sit downs?)
Also if that's Amy Webb, that voice and those lungs 😍

Jessamy Stoddart was hanging around the AV a couple of days ago when Aimee Fisher and Alexandra Grierson were sick and Laura Pick still on holiday so there is a possibility they've sent her up.

Is Amy Goodwin fully rehearsed yet? I thought they were going through the process of still rehearsing 2nd covers. Or will it be as case of 'She rehearsed enough, we just haven't done cover runs yet'
