Thats what I was thinking looking at both sites online - maybe the Bridge is waiting for the run to start before updating their seating plan (I'm just hoping its not onstage seating or something similar)

Got a second row stalls ticket via TodayTix for £15: all they had in similar positions on the Bridges own website was £65, so a steal.

Couldn't see if he had a thread in here, and not sure if this should have gone in General Chat, but Brian Blessed providing a masterclass on life of the actor in the Richard Herring Leicester Square Theatre Podcast (or as the cool kids, put it RHLSTP); why can't NT Platforms be more like this? (not one to watch at work by the way) RHLSTP

Only thing that caught my eye there is Jesus Hopped The 'A' Train, but that isn't on for another 10 months so not going to bother booking that far in advance (certainly not without knowing who is supposed to be in it), otherwise: yawn, indeed. Something makes me think we're going to get a lot of similarly dull, worthy sounding productions at the YV for the foreseeable future.

Got to meet Marc Maron after his show at the Royal Festival Hall tonight (more by accident than design) but after seeing Arcade Fire (with Florence and Boy George as special guests) on Friday and Tom Courtenay, Joely Richardson, Rita Tushingham and Jez Butterworth at the BFI on Saturday, I couldn’t half do with a lie in tomorrow: shame it’s still a hell of a long way to go until the weekend 😕

Never mind CRH- Anton Du Beke on James Martins Saturday Kitchen: has there been a more pointless appearance by a ‘celebrity’ on Z-grade tv in recent years?
‘I don’t like cooking’ - so why have you gone on a major channel tv show about cooking for Gods sake? Certainly not for your wit and humour, he couldn’t take a bite of anything without putting on a stupid voice or making silly noises, it was embarrassing.

Booked a Saturday afternoon yard ticket to see Othello the first weekend in September, here is hoping I have a better experience there than when I saw Macbeth there a couple of years back: a chimps tea party at the zoo would have been a better setting in which to watch (or at least try to watch) a play. The fact the ticket is £5 (plus fees) rather than the full price I paid for a seat last time is what has convinced me to give the Globe another go.
I'm surprised there still seems a ot of tickets available for Othello, I thought an actor of Mark Rylances standing would have persuaded more people to have bought tickets by now.

Haven't been there since I saw Sean Hughes do his 'Life Becomes Noises' show back into 2013, I really should make an effort and go and see something there sometime soon.

Website was a shambles this morning, crashed half a dozen times on the stroke of 10 before sticking me behind 1,400 people in a queue: I didn't want to pay £45 for balcony (all that was left) for the Cureation show so booked to see Loop the weekend before instead, so will be seeing over the course of the festival:
Loop Manic Street Preachers Mogwai Nine Inch Nails
and will be leaving it at that.

I would have put Paddy Considine before Bryan Cranston for best actor, but anyways, congratulations to The Ferryman, I'm not that much of a musical fan and wasn't overly impressed by Hamilton but congratulations to them as well, it was pretty obvious even before it opened that they were going to win a shedload of awards.

Don't mean to upset the ladies on here, but she's only four years younger than me, and I've gone well beyond the point where I could label myself as 'The Boy'

I went last week and from what I remember there were only about half a dozen or so children among the mob, seemingly all with parents/guardians, and all impeccably behaved, so I wouldn't worry too much about hordes of rampaging children (although I would have thought school parties would go in the week rather than the weekend)

Shock, horror : Parsley (or is it parsley, I lost track after the second or third time they regenerated) didn’t enjoy a show. I’m sure all those reviews that the Bridge have quoted in their ads giving JC 4 and 5 stars are totally wrong and Mr. Hytner will be pulling all future ads for this after reading that review 😐

Saw this tonight from the pit and thought it was truly excellent, really succeeded in being an exciting production, which doesn’t happen too often when it comes to Shakespeare these days.(well not the ones I see anyway) Not one to see in the pit if you’re not that mobile or of a nervous disposition, but I loved it. More thoughts in the next few days (I’m writing this on the train back from London Bridge)

I bought the album they released a couple of months ago and thought it was pretty terrible, and I'm not sure I want to pay £90 to see him, but to quote GZA in Coffee & Cigarettes, its 'Bill Groundhog-Day, Ghostbustin'-ass Murray!' and God knows when I'll ever get another chance to see him (in London anyway)

Hmm, saw the William Friedkin film starring Matthew Mcconaughey and Gina Gershon a few years back - good luck to Orlando Bloom (God knows he must need the work) but I’m struggling to picture him in this.

Just finished watching Isle Of Dogs at the BFI: not a bad little film (although God knows much it cost to make) but not one of Wes Anderson’s better films in my opinion, I can imagine some children liking this but can also imagine a lot parents taking their kids to see this and just thinking ‘WTF?’ after the first few minutes, especially the Japanese bits with no subtitles 😛

Well it’s the Southbank Centre, not the ICA: they’re not likely to book FKA Twigs, MC Uncle Tom Cobley and the Peruvian Marching Band Of Old Lima Town on the offchance of appearing cutting edge.

I asked Bryan after if he was planning on coming back to the UK for a play any time soon, or if Network was transferring to Broadway, to which he just said ‘nothing is decided ‘ but I think his brief reply just might have been inspired by the almighty queue of people behind me and the thought he might still be signing books at midnight rather than any rudeness...
