Rory Kinnear was out this afternoon. However, with or without him, it was the most boring "Macbeth" I have ever seen. This play is full of murders, ghosts and there's a moving forest in it. And yet, I almost fell asleep. Sounds nearly as ‘good’ as the Globes version a couple of years back.

I saw this this afternoon and was rather impressed. I thought all of the cast were good, in particular Ophelia Lovibond and it engaged my attention thoughout (I can’t see why anyone would find anything excruciating unless they had a psychotic hatred of Fleetwood Mac). Also: the lack of onstage farming, surely no one expects to see a tractor being driven round on stage, a cow being milked or someone digging up spuds? The erm ‘rustic’ smell being sat down the front was enough for me.
Shame the theatre was probably only a third or so full - if it had more famous names in the cast it would have had more people attending.

I booked solely for Danny Dyer: nothing against Martin Freeman but I’ve found him distinctly average in everything ive seen him in after The Office (alas I’ve never bothered watching Sherlock, the Basil Rathbone and Robert Downey Jr versions are enough for me)

Not sure if it was No Sex... or Run that was promised in the back of the programme for Out Of Order when it toured last year, but expect equally stellar casting along the lines of Shaun Williamson, Arthur Bostrom and um, Marlene from OFAH 😛

I much preferred the London Bridge site to where they are at the moment, and while I'm pleased to see they're going back to London Bridge, the fact they're saying that will be a satellite venue doesn't fill me with much enthuasiasm: I'm just not that keen on going to Elephant & Castle to be honest.

Would have been officially bankrupted if I'd booked for everything, but going to The Room/Victoria Station/Family Voices in December (got the same N7 mentioned above) and A Slight Ache/The Dumb Waiter in February (the night with a Q&A with 'some cast members' after). Will probably leave it there unless amazing casting for Moonlight/Night School is announced.

Reading the Marquis de Sade at the Royal Festival Hall: Southbank CentreIn French with English subtitles (I'm presuming they'll be back projected onto a screen as you wouldn't be able to read too much from the upper levels of the RFH): I thought the Bill Murray tickets were pricey, so as top tickets are £88 I'm going to pass, but some of you out there might be interested (or have already booked)?

Opens tonight. If anyone has been holding back from booking this, DelMac have released plenty of £10 stalls seats throughout May. Just got Row B stalls so worth a look through. Cheers, have just got row B for the next bank holiday weekend.

I also found this a bit dull, a lot of skirting round what Chaplins character had done that had been so terrible to the 'heroine' without actually going into any details about what had happened (beyond her having been flown over state lines), and a lot of chatter from the supporting cast to no particular end didn't leave me feeling particularly bothered what happened to anyone at the end. I don't blame Ifans for bailing, I'm just glad I only paid £2 to see this. Stalls were about two thirds full, couldn't get a clear view where I was sitting up the upper levels looked pretty empty. How did you get a £2 ticket? I'm on a mailing list of a site that offers tickets to plays, concerts, comedy : the tickets themselves are 'free' but you have to pay a £2 admin charge per head for the privilege. They're usually at lower key places like The Jazz Cafe or the Churchill in Bromley rather than anywhere like the Old Vic.

Interval time: wouldn’t say it’s rubbish but not finding much to recommend it to anyone - sincerely hoping the second half is a lot better.

My family used to love Sir Nigel’s marmalade biscuits from F&M, but last few times I’ve been in there, they’ve been nowhere to be seen (their website is showing only available in a hamper) but I think I was paying more for the tin than the biscuits (the ideal gift to show people you’ve been to Merry Olde Englande) - in other news, going to see Mood Music at the Old Vic in two hours time, not sure only paying £2 for the privilege is going to be such a bargain if I sit there for 2 hours feeling like a slowly boiled sausage...

Was it really playing to empty houses, or papering though? I wasn’t that excited about seeing it, but every time I looked on Today Tix (not recently, to be honest) - the only ‘cheap’ seats were up in the Gods, so (Heaven forbid) maybe she was actually Ill rather than worrying about Parsley’s worthless opinions?

Like to hear how the manics were...i saw them many moons ago on a top of the pops recording!😀 They were great, first time I've since them since the National Treasures show at the O2 a good 6 or 7 years ago, although I was sat rather than stood this time (I have painful memories of getting over excited and jumping about to Motorcycle Emptiness and realising I'm not getting any younger). Seeing them again at the RFH next month, not sure if it'll be pretty much the same set but I'm really looking forward to it, they seemed to really enjoy playing live.

I enjoyed it - it was very sketchy about her film career (Body Heat, The Man With Two Brains and Romancing The Stone breezed over in a couple of minutes with no mention of Jewel Of The Nile, War Of The Roses or Roger Rabbit (there are probably plenty of other films I’m missing out on mentioning them) but I thought this was a thoroughly agreeable couple of hours spent in a theatre.

I forgot that Monday is a Bank Holiday, but I have got a £2 ticket to see this next week (have been asked not to say where I got it from). I have no idea where I’ll be sat but at that price I’m not going to be too fussed: I’m presuming there’s going to be a lot more papering going on over the next few weeks if there are offers like this even before the reviews are in.

So to the Royal Festival Hall this evening to collect my tickets to see Florence & The Machine next week and have a couple of drinks before I head home:three women in the lift asking me if I’m George Clooney- happens all the time 😂 (not sure if they were short sighted, drunk or just a bit mental) You should of said "Yes" It was a struggle to keep myself together and not burst out laughing, let alone try to an American accent...

Seating plan on the Bridge website for this is now showing 'Rows AA & BB - sold via TodayTix' so it looks like they're going to do exclusive deals for shows at the Bridge (I'm guessing the ones that need more of a sales push) through TodayTix.

Tickets now on sale through Today Tix but no bargains (yet) - I find it hard to believe the French population of London and French tourists will be clamouring to snap up tickets for this so am going to wait, but do people think fourth row stalls will be close enough to both see what is going on and read the surtitles?

America : surely they missed a trick not inviting Bill to at least sing this at West Side Story at the Royal Albert Hall?
