I'm still not over how serious they take it, claiming Sky is their ultimate dream theatre role when he has like...two lines total and shares his only song with Sophie and the stags.

Happy with last nights decision, though Esme could’ve also gone (Stevie has been by winner for quite some time). I agree wholeheartedly with the judges critique of Stephanie. She has no individuality or star quality, just a perfectly polished and trained drama school graduate. I think she is very solid and reliable but she takes no risks and is very predictable. Perfect for an ensemble or to be a swing but as the lead I want more personality. She would make an excellent Disney princess though.

I’m still baffled why they did that wedding “acting challenge” last night. The videos from home and all the tears - as if it hasn’t just been a few weeks and they aren’t all constantly in touch with their friends/family anyway?!
I’ll be very surprised if it’s not Stevie and Tobias as the winners.

I can’t see any of them selling loads of tickets for the show. It’s not going to be the stampede like for Sound of music or Joseph.

I’m still baffled why they did that wedding “acting challenge” last night. I’ll be very surprised if it’s not Stevie and Tobias as the winners. The wedding vows thing seemed really random. It’s not as if the eventual winners will have to write their own lines for the show! I also felt the slowing down of ‘Dancing Queen’ was…a choice! I was waiting for it to ramp up to full throttle, but it remained at a funereal pace* throughout, with the choreography mostly consisting of Esme standing on a chair, waving her arms about s…l…o…w…l…y! *The irony for me being that we actually chose ‘Dancing Queen’ as one of the songs for mum’s funeral (she loved ABBA and the MM musical) and it wasn’t as funereal as last night’s version - it was the original upbeat version! |

Esme bores the heck out of me, sorry. Utterly bland choice, any bold choice has been predictably knocked out.
It'll be Stevie with any luck. The two blokes are pretty much interchangable, though Tobias has the edge.
This whole thing feels about as competitive as WWE, to be honest...

On the BBC ones people were definitely voted through sometimes that the judges thought should go!
This feels much more choreographed — we had a range of different ones to begin with, and are going to end up with people they might have picked at normal castings anyway.

The guy that didn’t win was the worst he’s ever been in the final. All the gurning & mugging and really quite average voice…maybe in ‘Choir of Man’. |

I was surprised at the strong accent of Stevie , having not watched the series , just the final. I personally preferred Esme and Tobias but not having seen the others there was only a choice of 1 out of 2!

Well that was a lacklustre final show.
Stevie was pitchy and more Scottish than ever (which I don't see as being possible for Sophie given the family history but hey ho)
They had run out of songs so used some obscure tracks which hampered some of them.
Good to see some of the others doing well.
