The costumes were particularly low quality tonight
Very cheap looking

Although I really like Vito, I actually thought he out-danced Fleur with all of those high kicks

It should be Tony or Jayde who goes in my view. You just never know though at this stage.

Come Dancing by the Kinks would have made much more sense for Kym and Graz rather than Ballroom Blitz. Ellie and Nikita, Ellie T and Johannes, and Hamza and Jowita were the only dances that I enjoyed tonight. The rest were all either misconceived or poorly executed. James and Amy could be in trouble or even Molly and Carlos as their routine was dire.

Lovely to see that nice Dan Walker in the audience, with his youngest daughter.

I thought we were gonna get Molly and Tyler in a dance off, but as soon as Jayde was called I knew she would be going home.
The song choice really let Molly down, but they could have done so much more with the karaoke, it just all seemed a bit lacklustre. This will be a wake up call for them now, they need to be in the top 2 every week.

I was wondering about how much Victoria Wood resonated with the ‘young’ who watch and vote. And frankly I felt the whole tribute idea lacked verve. The only music I felt was worth dancing to was Line of Duty and it showed as they did a very good modern tango to it. Molly’s dance was a mess, she scraped through cos she could move her feet in a ‘technical’ way. I dread the Halloween rubbish they turn out with the inevitable elimination of the worst and most ridiculous costume.

Something like 75% of the Strictly audience is over 45 so I doubt those who don't remember Victoria Wood at her peak are that influential. Probably more likely a pretty poor dance and Jayde having no real fanbase. Will's Line of Duty dance was a Viennese Waltz rather than a Tango.

But it was good!

I see Fleur is dancing to Beyoncé this weekend. I haven’t seen what anyone else is dancing to, but surely Halloween week means you should get an appropriate song? Otherwise it’s unfair.

Ellie and Nikita: Foxtrot to Scooby Doo, Where Are You? by David Mook, Ben Raleigh
Ellie and Johannes: Couple's Choice to I Put A Spell On You by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy
Fleur and Vito: Salsa to Break My Soul by Beyoncé
Helen and Gorka: Foxtrot to Lil' Red Riding Hood by Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs
Kym and Graziano: Rumba to Frozen by Madonna
Molly and Carlos: Argentine Tango to Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) by Kate Bush
Hamza and Jowita: Tango to Wicked Game by Chris Isaak
James and Amy: Charleston to Bumble Bee by LaVern Baker
Tony and Katya: Quickstep to The Devil Went Down To Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band
Tyler and Dianne: Cha Cha Cha to Day-O (The Banana Boat Song) by Tanz Orchester Klaus Hallen
Will and Nancy: Mama Told Me Not To Come by Tom Jones and Stereophonics
Some v odd music choices
Time to end theme weeks. They have ceased to have any purpose or quality

A rumba to Frozen Madonna sounds like it's headed right for the dance off.

I'm trying to think of any reason to use the Banana Boat Song in Halloween week. What on earth will they dress as?

Why do they undermark Fleur - interesting comment from Motsi about powerful women, eh?

Loved the costumes and make up.
Motsi's make up half-fact make up was amazing.
I loved Thing sitting on Shirley's shoulder.
Craig will jump at any opportunity to drag up.
It always puzzles me that Tess and Claudia never dress up.
I thought Vito looked completely different.
Everyone seems to have improved considerably. Iy'll be interesting to see who's in the dance-off.

I used to really like Shirley’s judging but I think it’s been awful this season.
Every single week it looks like Ellie T gives 70% energy into her routines. When you compare her with johannes she doesn’t match his energy or enthusiasm at all and the judges haven’t commented on it once, but it’s SO obvious. She just doesn’t put enough into each move.
I thought Ellie and Nikitas foxtrot was awful, so slow, no flow, she could be in trouble.
I thought Tyler and Dianne were a lot better than half of the judges said they were. Same with Molly, I thought she got under scored.
James was a bit all over the place and I think he will be in the dance off.
I have so many issues with the song choices, if the song isn’t Halloween themed then it shouldn’t be used.

Tess's sparkly boots were ghastly. Claudia's fluorescent stilettos were even worse.
Apart from perhaps in the Charleston, wearing pumps never seems to work for anyone, celebrity or professional.
Graziano looks much better with his hair like it was on Saturday night.

I thought Molly was going to end up in the dance off again, usually they put last weeks dance off couple through first.
I think Fleur in the dance off might have been a result of the audience not having their song choice or routine being Halloween themed. But this isn’t the first time in the dance off, is she not connecting with the audience?

Vito's geeky look made him almost unrecognisable, maybe that's why they ended up in the dance off. Next week I recommend the usual flimsy shirt and tight trousers, or better yet, no shirt at all.

Molly's partner is a brilliant dancer but he isn't great at showing her off to best advantage. Something dancers like Giovanni do extremely well.
I suspect that is partly why they are starting to fade a little.
Fleur isn't a big name in the grand scheme of things. Her pop career never really took off and now she is a radio presenter for a minor station. She just doesn't have a huge support base to escape the middle of the pack.

Apparently there is an arsenal online forum of 100,000 who are voting for Tony every week and he is topping the public vote.In some ways it was always a popularity contest as all of these reality / talent shows are.
