Not everyone in the Strictly audience on 'Sunday' night was a Robbie Williams fan. After such an awful performance, I don't blame this poor chap for staying in his seat and hiding his face. Talking of reactions, did you see Will Mellors face after Matt Goss performed on Saturday? LOL.

I knew Matt would be in the bottom 2, I just don't see people connecting with him, he's very odd. If one other judge voted to save Kaye then Shirley's vote would have saved her and Matt would be gone. I thought they were gonna get rid of him tbh. I think it is a shame that Kaye was eliminated. I thought her dance was better than the dustbin man and that both Will and Matt relied on certain ‘equipment’ more than their dance skills. I was pleased that Shirley said she would have saved her. I’m wondering if the judges get any chance to confer. Just a nod or anything? That the head judge should think so differently is a little disturbing. If they had known Shirley was going to save Kaye would one of the others also saved her? We’ll never know.

If you wanna get into conspiracies then people have always said that it’s really the producers who decide what the judges say. Sometimes I believe it, it’s a tv show at the end of the day.

Haha, I saw that too on my recording. But on freezing the frame I see he’s holding lots of cabling so presumably should have been out of sight as crew. Admittedly the other explanation is more fun!

One Hand One Heart was one of the worst vocal performances I have heard on Strictly. Frequently pitchy, shouty at times
They should be ashamed of themselves for that.

We need a revival of Sweet Charity. One of my favourite musicals and some of the best songs ever.

Didn't we have one at the Donmar a few years back? Anne Marie Duff etc

I think Kym got under scored, I thought she deserved more. The same with Will actually. I’m surprised Tyler didn’t get 39 or 40. I knew Craig wasn’t gonna throw up a 10 this early but I thought Anton would. I thought Helen did SO much better. Ellie T seems to be really lacking in punch and execution, everything seems half arsed with her movements. I thought Richie and Gio was awful but the judges seemed to love it?

Jayde and Karen were overmarked in my opinion. The scores were very inconsistant overall again in my opinion.

I know we have this discussion every year, but movie week is essentially just another musicals week. Jurassic Park being one of the few exceptions, which to my untrained eyes and ears seemed completely unsuitable for a rhumba. It's very kind of BurlyBeaR to let Helen and Gorka rehearse in his luxury loft apartment, now tastefully decorated in pure brilliant white. Grey, teal and sunburst yellow is so last year. As is furniture! 😂

A few thoughts on last nights show,
Firstly I though the Encanto sequence was extremely well done.
Shirley was gladly back on form.
With that hair I thought Motsi looked a muse-either one from the Hercules animation or one of the sisters from Xanadu.
Thank god Matt Goss lost the hat!
Although not such a fan if the routine itself, I like that Ritchie & Givanni were dancing on that platform in front of the Judges.
Whilst I appreciate that this was the intention, with that dress and wig, Ellie could have been Cher!
I think this was Kym Marsh's best dance to date.
With that wig, I though Fleur looked so completely different. Possible because I am so used to seeing her with all that hair. Sh also looked remarkable buxom!
Tony Adams- there's a point where people are laughing with you, but at you
Helen Skelton and Gorka was very well done.
The problem with Tyler and Dianne's dace was that as great as it was(and it really was) was the fact that it was so fast! To really get all of it you' have ro re-watch it!
Finally, Jade Adams- kudos to her. She's a big girl and she had the guts to appear on national television in a leotard against someone with significantly different body shape and helps her own. Respect

I like that Ritchie & Givanni were dancing on that platform in front of the Judges. I felt like they spent more time not dancing than dancing.

Too much “faffing” as Len Goodman used to say.

I’m sure it’s a conversation between the Pro and the producers. This is for ratings. Everything is orchestrated.

Couldn’t stand Shirley Ballas before but her flagrant bias makes me despise her even more.

She isn't reacting in a professional way to what is being danced.

This is the first time I've watched Strictly consistently for a few years but I'm loving it! Jayde and Karen in particular are such a joy to watch and Tony Adams' Full Monty dance had me properly laughing out loud. Obviously he's not very good but I hope he sticks around for a few more weeks!
As I haven't watched for a while, this is the first I've really seen of Shirley as a judge. I thought some of her comments were really off last week but thought it was just a one-off. But it was more of the same this week! Not impressed. Really seems to have it in for some of the contestants.

The judges marks and comments seem so very random to me, no consistency whatsoever, and certain judges seem biased towards and against certain contestants . The public vote is a joke, it’s a popularity contest , not a dancing competition. The two in the dance off this week should not have been there, at least 3 others were just awful but were kept in due to popularity and/or political correctness. It’s not a fair competition, no way. Just my opinion, before the woke brigade start fizzing .

Yes that woke Strictly audience voting to put two non white mid table contestants into the bottom two at the expense of the uh four white celebs at the bottom of the leaderboard.
And yes it is a popularity contest and always has been, sometimes that has still meant the best dancer winning but often not.

Richie and Giovanni absolutely deserved to be bottom 2 this week. There was very little dance content to the 'routine', there was no connection between them. The costumes were ludicrously bad.
And Giovanni clearly wasn't properly engaged in the whole thing. In the past he has been brilliant at showcasing what his partner can do. I just don't think he could be bothered this year. There has been much speculation that the two of them have clashed and that may well explain the lack of investment.
I can't say I blame him. Richie comes across on screen as rather grating. I certainly wouldn't want to spend several hours a day with someone like that.
Were they the worst dancers? No. But can I see why the public voted that way? Absolutely.
