There’s also heaps left in Birmingham and at decent prices, I’m now going. Another Broadway legend ticked off the list! Where did you get a cheap ticket for the Birmingham concert? Not sure where to look. Thanks From the Symphony Hall website - there’s back of the circle for £22 or back of the stalls for £32, cheap considering those were originally priced at £50!

There are some good seats still available at Symphony Hall and the sound there is so good that it doesn't matter where you sit from that point of view. But £22 to £32 to see a legend like her looks very good value.

Probably shouldn’t ask this, but will be cheeky anyway: do you think the prices at Symphony Hall will drop even further if I wait, since there are hundreds left? I think they’ve closed off the Grand Tier completely.

The concert is under two weeks away, I don't think THSH do standbys unless you are certain category - pensioner, student, disabled etc. But they might drop them again. All I can suggest is that if you want to go, maybe plan to do so but keep an eye on the prices in case they drop further. I'd figure there will still be decent availability if you went and paid just beforehand.

It’s showing as unavailable on the Lowry website too, I guess the whole thing’s been pulled 😕

Such a shame, I was really looking forward to getting to see her live. My ticket was great value too.

I wonder if this is a case of Miss Peters not wishing to play to half empty theatres.

Does the insurance policy cover poor sales? Shame as I was hoping for a last minute bargain but wasnt prepared to pay the London prices. At least I got to see her at the RFH some years ago and it was very memorable.

I had the odd experience of trying to see her in Annie Get Your Gun and then a few years later in Gypsy, and both times being told at the box office when trying to buy tickets that she was unwell and if I was particularly trying to see her, I should try the next day. Both trips were a week long and I eventually saw Annie without her but not Gypsy. I also was unable to see her as replacement in A Little Night Music on a later trip but that was not down to anything on her part. So you see we keep missing each other, perhaps I can appeal for free tickets citing lifelong disappointment!! I. Am. Cursed.
I would like to apologise to everybody that booked a ticket to see Ms Peters as clearly once I bought a ticket, the tour was doomed!

I do wonder if again it was a case of over ambition, Patti LuPone who is arguably better known played the Leicester Square Thetare, others go for Cadogan Hall.
Meanwhile, kudos to The Lowry for being so prompt with their notice of cancellation, 10 days away. I have tumbleweed in my inbox from The Lyceum for Monday!
