It's going to be a tough call as they have both been amazing and both had such an incredible journey.
Looks like a snail has been crawling over Motsi's face and left a trail of slime and could Tess be anymore patronising?

😂 well said alece10 - I completely agree. I thought John and Johannes’s paso doble was the dance of the whole series. A great final!

Rose hardly did any steps in her show dance. I know lifts take skill and trust. But I do think the show dance should contain a significant amount of steps

I thought it was a great show, very weepy, the tissues in my house almost gone. But as I said last year, getting it together with all the difficulties of the pandemic is a marvellous achievement. A live show for goodness sake and entertainment for all ages. They should get some kind of tv award. Rose the obvious winner, though I agree not a lot of steps in her show dance. It was just her whole shebang just pipped John’s shebang. Gonna be interesting how they do it next year.

Given that they had a lot of time to fill, and it's the final dance the couples will do, why did they have to stick to 90seconds for the showdances? The Rose is a really simple tune, with only four lines per verse, and cutting the second line of each verse throws the whole thing off balance. Would anyone have noticed if they'd made it 10 seconds longer by leaving the tune intact? Rose would even have had time to actually do some steps with her feet on the ground! I'm glad she won, but it's so annoying when choreographers make clumsy edits to pieces of music for no reason. It was a wonderfully memorable final apart from this, and Tess and Shirley being even more sickening than usual.

I enjoyed it on the whole, but the emotion was way OTT for me. I wanted glittery escapism and upbeat numbers, both of which were missing tonight with the exception of the group dance.

I see that Oti Mabuse is going to be a judge on the new series of Dancing on Ice. Aunty won't allow her to have a foot in both camps, will it?

I see that Oti Mabuse is going to be a judge on the new series of Dancing on Ice. Aunty won't allow her to have a foot in both camps, will it? It has done before - she judged The Masked Dancer on ITV. Celebrities don't belong to one TV channel anymore.

There has been talk that Oti wants/is thinking of moving on for a couple of years. She would only have a BBC contract for Strictly and not an exclusive deal. She is doing her own tour and no doubt DOI will be easier work than the Strictly Arena tour. She has presented the One Show I think and so is expanding her career and in some ways might have been more likely to get It Takes Two gig ahead of Jeanette.
Strictly will confirm pros for next year in due course. I'm sure Oti will get an offer. If she wants to return will be her choice.
She might be considering starting a family but is only 31 so its not like someone nearer 40.
Hopefully she returns as she is very popular and a great dancer.

The final results from the tour were:
Rose & Giovanni 31 wins
John & Johannes 1 win (in Manchester)
Sara & Aljaz 1 win (in Newcastle)
John & Johannes were also runners-up 25 times. At least with that one win they weren't always the bridesmaids!

I went on Saturday - it was obvious who was going to win from the start though I thought the best dances were Rhys's Charleston and Maisie's Samba which were the most impactful in the big arena.
Some of the banter was very tired though - at points in the first half it just felt like going through the motions. Livened up in the second half though and the group dances were all very good.

I thought John and Johannes might have got a few more wins but RAE and Gio are very popular. I'd be interested to know if the judges vary their marks much across the tour. Some of the comments would become repetitive but I'm sure Craig and Bruno would liven things up a bit.
