I'm currently in a trendy bit of Spain so yesterday was beetroot carpaccio, a, blackpudding dish & razor clams with lemon and garlic all washed down with too much cava...

The Ivy at Tower Bridge for lunch today: I had the set lunch menu, bang bang chicken followed by hoisin glazed duck leg and finishing off with a cherry panna cotta. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it was a bargain but I could easily get used to having lunch there on a regular basis (I started a new job two weeks ago, I only have to work a 4 day week for a lot more pay and today was my first payday so I thought I’d push the boat out)

It’s an Asian style, the chicken is/was marinaded in a kind of peanut sauce before it was cooked (it was served in small pieces, served with a small salad as the starter)

Small is the best size to serve a salad, in my opinion, alongside a large portion of chips!

Sausage and Bacon sandwich sitting outside a cafe on a windswept river bank. Maybe not the fine dining enjoyed by Marwood but most probably much more expensive when transport and overnight accommodation is taken into account. This evening I will be sampling the ales in the local Hostelries after some fish & chips and plan a lengthy seaside amble tomorrow morning to walk off any lingering after affects. First time outside the M25 this year.
