We did a What Did You Have For Breakfast thread last year so now a lot of us are WFH it seems entirely appropriate to have a nosey at what everybody is having for their dinner lunch.
Today I’m having a lamb burger in a brioche bun. I’m not usually that fancy but it’s leftovers from last night.
I had one of those giant Bourbon biscuits for elevenses. I love those 😛

I had a ham sandwich as a snack earlier, and in an hour or two I'll be having a salmon fillet and a beer. I'm considering a bowl of custard as a dessert because some days custard just seems like the right thing to have. Especially days that end in "y".

I started giggling so hard when I saw this thread, that I figured it absolutely deserved a reply (and also, I'm in need of a distraction from work!).
Also, now is the time for you to start laughing: I'll be having canned onion soup. Which is something I'd normally never buy in a million years, but there was a period at the beginning of this crisis-thing when I went to the store, and there was literally nothing (and I cannot accentuate the nothingness of it strong enough) to buy but canned soup, and I literally had nothing to eat at home (it was one of those weeks when theatre was a daily occurrence, and I'd go home just to sleep). So I bought a few cans, and now I'm wondering why, but hey - that's lunch sorted for today!

Bacon sandwich... with very crispy bacon because an Amazon delivery arrived while I was cooking it and I forgot to turn the heat off while I disinfected the two parcels. Oops.

Scrambled eggs, girolles and smoked salmon. Gottta eat the smoked salmon before the use by date 😂 so I did.

Only one? I had a cup a soup, because after 3 quiet days work has gone mental today and I've only just found time to boil the kettle never mind make a proper meal. May also have had half a packet of dark chocolate digestives. Oops.

You have to watch your weight at this time of year, don't you @theatremonkey? The sap is only just starting to rise, and a chunky monkey could very easily come a cropper on a weak branch! 🐒 🌳

I made a spinach and roast sweet potato salad, which makes a nice change from my usual lunch of gin and regret.

I will likely be posting on this thread everyday because eating is just about the only hobby I've kept up with in these trying times 😂. Today was beans on toast, with scrambled egg, a few mushrooms and a tomato which I do just eat like you would an apple. My diet is a bit odd because I'm a dairy-free vegetarian, which is practically plant-based except for the eggs.

Today’s lunch has a Gallic twist, a ham and cheese baguette and taking the advice of my peers Cheese & Onion McCoys and to keep a particular monkey happy a banana.

"A banana a day, keeps the doctor away" if thrown accurately with enough force. Would a monkey really waste a banana by throwing it at someone though? Today's lunch is about to be my usual at-home meal of mini cheddars, cheese (broken into bits & a piece put on each of the mini cheddars) & a piece of citrus fruit. Probably followed by the last 4 Ferrero Rocher from a box I was given at Christmas & have been eating gradually for several weeks.

Crepes with raspberries and Greek yoghurt.
It was brunch - normally for me there is no such thing as lunch on a Saturday, just brunch, so I am trying to maintain that routine!

I bought a load of long life "Army Meals" from a local market last year. Mostly tomato and pasta based with meatballs, chicken and mushroom, bacon and sausages etc.but there's also lamb hotpot and beef stroganoff. A lot of the range are spicy food which we don't like and didn't buy but got 8 different, five of each. They can be eaten cold but much nicer as hot meals.
They were only 50p each and I thought I'd perhaps got a bit carried away when I bought 40 of them but they are perfect for lunch. Microwave in a couple of minutes and really tasty and filling too. Wish I'd bought even more now.
