As much as I hate to say it, it must be a near certainty that the Edinburgh Fringe will be cancelled, if Glastonbury and all the other Fringes seem to be. I mean on the plus side it would enable me to save up for Fringe 2021 and go for the whole month but equally I love the Fringe so much as was really looking forward to it.

I was thinking about this too. And also with the Royal Ballet, that's it for Swan Lake for this season. I'm glad I managed to sneak a ticket to the first evening and was lucky enough to see Marianela Nunez and Vadim Muntagirov when I did. It's worrying times all round for the industry though. I am now really regretting having booked for a May Nunez/Muntagirov performance rather than a March one. With the other casts I wanted to see - Hayward/ Corrales, Naghdi/Ball, Magri/Sambe - all coming later in the run, it means I still have never managed to see a live Swan Lake. Guess I'll have to dig out the recording from the original run that was on the TV last Christmas. Oh well, on the plus side at least I now don't have to feel guilty about not booking for The Dante Project! It's just such a shame. I missed the televised recording last year. I hope the air a lot of these performances on Sky arts, we will all be missing many performances of so many shows, it would be nice to treat us while we're isolating at home. I believe this will be the end of the season now.

All shows cancelled at the Kings Theatre and Theatre Royal in Glasgow up until the 26th April.
They are ATG venues so I can only assume that will be the same for all of them.
I work for them and got an email this morning although they haven’t publicly posted on social media about it yet.

Even if theatres were to re-open in 3 months, which doesn't look likely, they won't be able to get all the non-UK-based singers in to rehearse & I shouldn't think the dancers will be able to stay fit enough go straight back into performances after 3 months of being stuck at home.

Wicked have confirmed closure until 26th April, so assume all ATG venues will be the same

This year was going to be my biggest year of theatre going yet, i had a whole Word document/ list of the shows i was planning on going to, it was nearly double what i'd managed any other year. What with all this, it looks like it will actually end up being the quietest year!

With all ATG theatres now confirmed as closed til 26th April, wonder if the Phantom tour will now bypass Manchester entirely?

Just had an email from ATG with a link for rebooking tickets already purchased. It says "you may like to reconsider dates after June" which is a pretty strong hint that they're planningon staying closed til then

On top of that many cancellations seem to take in dates up to early June. I consider Glastonbury a bit of an anomaly as they were due to get on site building the fence last week so had to make the call

Hairspray & West End Live? Yes, Hairspray is a confusing one. I haven’t seen any official announcement about it and some sites seem to still be selling tickets for the April dates. I wonder when The Coliseum will clarify this?

People speculating Phantom will skip Manchester? Really hoping not but I can see this happening (still not been contacted by ATG about my ticket booked for 16th April)

I was supposed to go to Wimbledon theatre tomorrow to see Beautiful. ATG hasn't contacted me yet! Not sure what's going on with ATG. I was meant to have Six in Brighton 7 days ago and still not been contacted. Yet people with stuff after that and even people with stuff a couple of days ahead for some things have been! All seems slightly random how they are contacting people....

So far, have tickets booked for Piaf in Nottingham towards the end of May and the Heathers tour in Cardiff in mid-June. Still no word from Nottingham Playhouse and the show is still on sale on the website, but bracing myself for it to be at least postponed for a while since Jenna Russell is meant to be doing Hello, Dolly! in August. As for Heathers, who knows? Last I heard they were starting to cast it so that could very likely be postponed.

It looks like Prince of Egypt may have been cancelled.
Existing bookings refunded without an exchange being offered and all future dates now offsale on the Nederlander website.

Difficult to have a show where you are meant to empathise with the protagonist when he sends in the plagues.

A couple of things I was supposed to see in April, at Cadogan Hall and The Other Palace, have been given revised dates for the Autumn. I mean, we don't know what the situation will be later in the year, but it does give you a feeling of hope!

So - sadly but aptly - what are the odds now that, because we hadn't learnt properly to wash our hands, we won't see Mark Rylance's show about learning properly to wash our hands?

A lot of talk today about the lockdown being in effect until June. Quite how this will work I don't know but it's a lot to take in!

I heard 30 June at the earliest, a few days ago - which is why Waitress met with their cast on Thursday to give them the news that it would be unlikely they could return, based on them closing on 4 July. They’d have been held on for a week for a potentially incomplete cast - without having a Becky in place, and almost certainly without a Dawn, unless Evelyn extended to the end.

Interesting because that's the date the NT is staying closed until. I'd say others may follow suit.

When the theatres closed initially, I was told they would be shut for 12 weeks- which would take us up to late June. If that is the time theatres can resume operations, allow for a week to re-tech and prepare for public opening. That's if everything goes to plan!
So sad for Stephen Schwartz- Children of Eden (though far from perfect) was finished off by the Gulf War. Now this. So much for there being miracles if you believe. The hardest part of love is letting go.
