It's certainly a rumour that's confused and delighted me in equal measures.
But I'd absolutely go and see her do it.

After the tedium of her performance in If/Then, I've vowed to never see her on stage again, and one can certainly question the age appropriateness of her in this role.

I saw a bootleg and she looked amazing. I do feel she is not good for the role of Funny Girl. Personally where is Annaleigh Ashford when you need her? Michael Mayer is an excellent director. But I am waiting for this www.berkeleyrep.org/season/1920/14549.asp . JGJ is my favourite actor.

I have to say that Christina Bianco was superb in the revival earlier this year in Paris. It was an English-language production and her take on the role was much more preferable to me than others I’ve seen. I’m not sure Menzel is right for this role.

There's only 9 years between O'Donnell and Menzel.

This is apparently cast. I have no idea. It won't happen but Sherie Rene Scott would be excellent. I presume that Jane Krakowski would be 'too old'

Again there'll be "too old" comments but I want Shoshana Bean to do it.

I've seen lots of Beanie Feldstein suggestions (as well as Lea Michelles and Lady Gagas but only Feldstein seems remotely possible). I don't think she's got the voice for it though, but then again neither did Sheridan Smith and she still did it so maybe they're banking on her acting/comedy to make up for her vocals in the same way.

Michael Mayer is directing again so I get the vibe this is a transfer/do up of the Chocolate Factory production, so Beanie would slot into the Sheridan version of Fanny really well...

I was able to get a $90 front row seat for April 13th matinee, for my next work trip to New York. Very curious to see how this one is.
