Really looking forward to seeing it on Sky Arts as unfortunately I was unable to see it in the cinema. If I was to be really, really picky I would have loved for it to have been recorded at The Savoy with the west end cast, or in a perfect world with the Menier cast.

I wonder what Sheridan's O2 setlist will be? On the last tour, she did a number of covers and most of the album, a total of 16 songs. So I wonder how much of the current album she will do? As well as the songs from her previous album?

A full tour announced: Sheridan Smith has announced a full UK tour, joining her previously revealed largest ever headline show at London’s The O2 on Saturday 30 March 2019.
Sheridan released her sophomore album A Northern Soul on Friday 2 November 2018, working with some of the world’s leading songwriters including Grammy award winning producer Jimmy Hogwarth (Amy Winehouse, James Bay), Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue) and Eg White (Adele, Florence + The Machine).
Aside from music, Sheridan is well-known for her television performances in comedy shows such as Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Gavin & Stacey, Benidorm and for winning a BAFTA award for playing the title role of Ronnie Biggs’ wife in the critically acclaimed Mrs Biggs.
The singer broke through into the music industry in 2017 with her debut album Sheridan. The record reached No.9 in the official UK album’s chart, celebrating Gold status with sales of over 140,000, and was the year’s second biggest debut from a British female artist after Dua Lipa.
Here are those full UK dates:
21 March 2019 – Symphony Hall, Birmingham 22 March 2019 – Echo Arena, Liverpool 25 March 2019 – City Hall, Sheffield 26 March 2019 – Bridgewater Hall, Manchester 28 March 2019 – Bonus Arena, Hull 30 March 2019 – The O2, London
Tickets for Sheridan Smith’s shows outside of London go on sale at 9:00 Friday 23 November 2018. Remaining London tickets are available now. Grab all through Ticketmaster.co.uk

Cilla with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra bring released 16th November featuring a duet with Sheridan. I just searched on the tubular website to see if any of the duets were on there (after seeing Cilla's son talking about the album and the duets on Loose Women). All three have been officially uploaded. Sheridan's is Alfie. I thought it sounded great.

My only *concern* is that these six venues are huge! Either arenas or large concert halls. Isn't that every so slightly risky? I know her first tour was pretty much sold out, and with half the amount of dates it would appear a smart move, but I can't help but think arena level is a big thing for her.

A Northern Soul now £6.99 on I tunes. Downloaded and listening to it now, not bad at all for a non musical theatre CD which is all I ever seem to listen to.

Liverpool Arena holds 10K but the rest are 3K or under. She sold out Symphony Hall B'ham on her last tour and likely played Bridgewater too. The O2 London date had been announced previously and almost seemed like a one off concert so that must be selling well if further dates have been announced. They probably hope Cilla factor will help fill Liverpool Arena but other smaller arenas/concert halls she should virtually fill I guess. When will she do a follow up to Cilla - the 1970's quieter years, a family tragedy and return to big time with Surprise, Surprise and Blind Date. Sheridan is 37 now - Cilla was that age in 1980 so covering say 1973 to 1985 or a bit later would be easy looks and make up wise.

Just saw an advert for a BBC drama starring Sheridan and Alison Steadman called "Care" airing on Sunday 9th December. Not sure if this is old news but it looked very good. Seemed to be about Sheridan fighting for her mother (Alison)'s right to high quality NHS treatment. Must remember to watch it.

There have been trailers for it on BBC for a few weeks now but lobbed into a compilation trailer of what's coming this winter. The new trailer just for the drama is quite new. Looks excellent and a great cast. Sheridan never goes for easy roles does she? ITV drama also coming up where she plays a cleaner who plans a robbery. Looks good too.

Shes always enjoyed a challenge in her acting roles as of late. I think she was just amazing in things like The Moorside and The C Word!

Looks like Sheridan is doing a full on production for the tour, she's looking for dancers to join her!

Finally got around to watching Care today. Another incredible performance from Sheridan and also a heartbreaking portrayal of Mary from Alison Steadman. This one really hit hard. Looking forward to Cleaning Up next week now.

My dad told me there was an article in the sun this week saying that her tour us not selling well and that the top level of the o2 is closed off. That does happen sometimes when artists can't fill the 20,000 capacity.

It was always set as just being the Lower tiers and Floor level. They knew what they were doing when putting the show on sale.

I've been to the o2 before and upper tier closed. As you say seats never on sale in the first place.

I imagine there will be a perfectly respectable audience for The O2. I don't think she'll have anything to worry about. If there were that much of an issue with sales, they'd downgrade venues by now.

On a more cheerful note, has anyone been watching Cleaning Up on ITV? She's giving another great performance again. It is very Disney channel to have Sheridan sing the opening/closing credits number, but I like the number all the same! And it's seriously impressive to see it's ready drawn a huge audience! The opening episode reportedly got a huge six million viewers!
