She’s just not a good enough singer to justify this. Great actress, average singer. I mean, release an album if it make you happy. I’m sure they’ll make it sound passable but on stage as yourself without being able to hide behind a character? Nah.

I'm sure she will put on an entertaining evening and that's good enough for me, especially as she's playing the glorious Sage in Gateshead. Anyone got any idea of prices?

They seem to be keeping quiet on ticket prices as it is all tied in with preordering the album to get a code for early access to tickets.

Hmm... they're following the hideous trend that's emerged in seating gigs where those at the front aren't the biggest fan but those with the most money.
First five rows are "VIP". Seat price face value of just short of sixty quid. Chuck in the standard laminate and pre signed photo so how much do we reckon they will charge... £100? £150?
Funny Girl front row day seats are looking more and more of a bargain by the day.

I didn’t realise this was the Sheridan appreciation thread. Anyway I AM a fan. I’ve liked her in several acting roles and I appreciated her performance in FG. I saw her in it 3 times! That doesn’t mean I have to think she poos diamonds though does it.

Graham Norton just played a "world exclusive" of Sheridan covering the Bette Midler/ Karen Carpenter classic Superstar. Oh dear. Totally bland and soulless with awful production, and she mangles the lyrics destroying the rhyme scheme. Maybe she should stick to Cilla.

There’s a joke here somewhere about polishing a turd but I can’t for the life of me fathom how to squeeze it in. Or out.)

Prices 62.50, 51.80, 40.90
Probably more at the RAH I'm assuming.

Just booked for right at the back of the stalls at the Millenium Centre, looking forward to a fabulous night!
Confused though because I never pre-ordered a CD, I just joined the "Sheridan mailing list"?

I'm going to Nottingham. Central Upper Tier. RAH is really expensive so switched to Nottingham!

I did the same thing, I signed up for the mailing list rather than the pre-order. Think it was just another option to get the pre-sale link.
I've just booked for Liverpool. Prices are pretty steep. I do hate pre-sales though, they're very selective with the seats they release. The best available were all side stalls, even with the first few rows blocked out for VIP tickets you wouldn't get centre stalls further back.

Well I had the pre sale code but I'm going to have to decline. At the RAH all the stalls are £93.50 which is beyond my budget. Can get tkts at £60.50 but that's right up in the gods whicH I won't do and £71.50 arena which is also a no no due to the arena having no rake. Such a shame as was so looking forward to this but I just can't justify paying those prices.

I was listening, thinking "gawd this is awful", not realising until the end it was Sheridan. Then Sunday Elaine Paige played the La La Land thing, City of Dreams, which was absolutely lovely, not realising until the end it was Sheridan ..... Still not enough to make me want to spend ££'s on a ticket. I adored her in Funny Girl, but An Evening Of - not so sure. Enjoy those who've got tix.

The front rows VIP tickets are £140! Eek!
I got myself a ticket in the first level up at Gateshead front row, fifty quid when the ten quid of fees are added.

Confused though because I never pre-ordered a CD, I just joined the "Sheridan mailing list"? I don't think they can legally say "you must buy...", even when you are told you have to order something if you look down the page there is always a link to get on the list without pre ordering.

I paid £44 for the Circle at Nottingham. RAH is like £60 including fees for the cheapest, so I'm good with Nottingham cheapest!

Yes these "pre order an album for presale access" are all the craze these days aren't they. But as shady23 said, there is always a "no purchase necessary" option, so never feel forced into buying an album you don't want

To be fair though, if you want presale access and you're prepared to go and spend money to see Sheridan cover classics like 'And I Am Telling You....' and 'Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter' then chances are you'll probably want the album too.

Agreed with Ryan. I pre-ordered the album because I want it haha. And because I was one of the first 500 to order it, I get a photograph or something, I don't really know what it is but I get one.

True, the album is only ten pound and is out soon so not unreasonable. When the likes of Gary Barlow do a tour pre sale and ask you to buy a book he's not written yet, out October 2018, it gets a bit silly!

Sheridan's version of And I Am Telling You is really beautiful. So vunerable, just a piano and some strings. You can hear the emotion in her voice. I'm actually tearing up, I didn't expect that!
Whole album now on Spotify now.

See I wasn't as impressed. I like that she's tried to do something different with the song, but for me it just didn't really work in this style. Different taste is a wonderful thing

Some on here are gonna hate this album, I can feel it. But I am actually really surprised how much I am enjoying it. Her voice is beautiful on these songs, where she is stripped back, emotional, vunerable, but then on the upbeat ones, you can tell just how much she is enjoying herself when recording them. I've had her And I Am Telling You on repeat, there is something about her that just transfixes, even on recording. Its the reason she is so popular, she just has a charm and a lure that if you love, you really love. I can imagine these songs live, and it is making me so excited for her tour now!

Now I think she’s a special talent as an actor but sorry her singing is not good. She almost gets away with it in the right show but her album is verging on an embarrassment. Plus she sounds terrible on the trailers for Sunday nights tv show. I mean, she’s brave for doing it, but anyone who would pay for this album and think she can actually sing must be tone deaf.
Get her to sing a duet with Amber Riley or someone and she’d Look like a fool from an early X factor audition.
