I said about twenty pages back or something ridiculous, before the ALW call, before this latest business, "what is going to happen next?!". It really is just one thing after another with this show and its troubled cast. I give it a maximum of two weeks before there is another leak/social media drama regarding this show - and I think we all know it will either involve our leading lady or the composer. Or maybe both. It just keeps. On. Happening. I'll just leave this here. Why, what are those naughty little scamps in Belleville saying now? |

From what can be stitched together from social media, sounds as though last night the cast were "encouraged" to perform even though there hadn't been enough testing done to make sure everyone was safe

The Twitter comments of one ensemble member and insta stories of another seem to refer to things going on behind the scenes, and the truth coming out. All very cryptic and a bit unnecessary. If I can figure out how to attach screenshots on mobile I shall, but don't hold your breath on that!
I honestly wish they'd either spell out exactly what's going on or just shut up. Bitching in hints does nothing other than make them look unprofessional. If they're prevented from saying what the problem is then just zip it entirely.

So “working up to the performance time to try to avoid cancellation” actually means an hours spent trying to persuade the cast to perform despite covid protocols not being followed? Is that what’s being suggested?

Reading between the lines it looks as though the cast’s safety was deemed less of a priority than the show going ahead last night.
I’m just waiting for people to start trying to pin the blame on CHF, despite her being on holiday.

That is what people are inferring on the basis of the above posts which were kindly just shared here. For now, that's speculative. Nobody in the cast is willing to speak out publicly, or leak to someone to Baz or Shenton, so nothing is known. Instead we get the high school teenage soap opera tweets you see above. |

Nobody will talk or spill tea, presumably with fear of the sack/blacklisting in town. If only someone reading this were to approach Baz Bamigboye, Mark Shenton or perhaps The Stage anonymously, so their story could be told and people could know of the injustices they've suffered... Without their side of the story, everyone will naturally take Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's... |

I doubt whether Baz wants to get on the wrong side of ALW Theatres. Mark Shenton doesn’t really have the clout these days does he?

We wouldn’t blame this on her, because there’s no reason to. |

It’s incredible to think that whereas almost every other show thread has discussions on the show itself, almost every page in the Cinderella thread has just been ongoing drama. Pages have either been filled with the behaviour of ALW, CHF, cast and management or the gaping plot holes and/or poor reception. I wonder if the management read the threads? I mean, if all we’re talking about is the backstage gossip something is going very very wrong.
