Do you think that the show will go on after february 2024? I will visit London again in march and I’m curious to this show.

I had a look at the dates for Plaza Suite, which I also want to see and note that it finishes on 31st March which is a Sunday, so I can book it for Sunday, leaving my Saturday evening slot free to book OM if it extends again.

Hey there, does anyone know if there is any way to get cheaper tickets to this show on a Thursday or Friday? On the website I can see it is much cheaper earlier in the week but I am only in London briefly towards the end of a week. I've not seen this show on TodayTix which is my usual go-to for cheaper/late seat booking.

I think there is a kind of lottery they do otherwise its not discounted and the price goes up a tenner each day until Fri/Sat.

They do a fornightly lottery but obviously not a guarentee you'll win (I'm still trying to and I've entered every week since it opened) www.operationmincemeat.com/lottery

I booked instead for a Monday or Tuesday each time but it's tough on people who can't do that. This is a promoter and show which seems to have adopted a successful financial ticketing structure to generate maximum income and profits. Can't really blame that for that but hope the cast and crew are getting a fair share of the plunder.

Finally won the lottery today. I checked the email as it came in and there were lots of seats available, mainly in the Upper Circle but also in the Stalls and Dress Circle, so I've nabbed a Dress Circle seat for next Friday. Curious after all the hype to find out what I make of it.

I won tickets through the lottery.
Have Row C in the Upper Circle.
Are the seats as bad as they look? 😭

sorry if it's been discussed or I should know but what is the cast situation for this show? Should we make an effort to see it soon/are originals leaving/have they already left?

They haven't left yet and there has been no announcement. All of the cast has equal billing - even the understudies (in the programme at least!). I saw Christian Andrews as Leggett and Sean Carey as Cholmondeley when I saw it and both were brilliant - I really wouldn't worry about seeing an alternate (or understudy? I'm not even sure what they are, to be honest!). I have to admit, though, I think I would have been gutted to have missed Natasha Hodgson - she is just wonderful.

Geri and Holly were on last night and were wonderful. I love the integration between the cast and covers, like pricing it is something this show is doing differently! I have now seen 8 of the 9 cast between the runs so better try and tick off the last one!

I'm afraid this isn't going to be my new favourite musical.
I enjoyed most of the songs when they were being sung, as opposed to rapped (I'm really not a fan of rap music). I also really loved the ending and liked some of the other more serious moments. However I hadn't been expecting the dialogue be so silly and it wasn't my kind of humour at all. I also found that the seats in the Dress Circle at The Fortune Theatre were so close together that I felt hemmed in the whole time. So all in all, a bit of a disappointment for me given how much everyone has raved about this, but at least I can say I've seen it.
Ratings wise, this gets 3* from me.

Won the lottery for the 2nd time! Booked for Sat matinee in the hope for some alternates! Their understudies tend to get one off shows earlier in the week! Usually Mondays and Tuesdays. But one of the actresses hurt her hand yesterday and swapped out in the interval so it's not clear how long she'll be out yet.

She was out at today’s matinee (understandably) but Holly Sumpton did a phenomenal job! Pricing qualms aside, this show is still tremendous in every way. Loved it every bit as much the second time round!

I’ve had the pleasure of making my ninth and tenth trips over the past week to see this wonderful show.
First up was last Thursday, following a long overdue lottery win combined with decent seats actually being available in the stalls (row H but still a decent view). All principals were on and the show was followed by a 25 minute Q&A with the company by Reece Shearsmith.
Quite a few people stayed behind and it was actually a very insightful but also very funny bonus. I’m sure it will come as no surprise to hear that “conversations about conversations” are being had about a Broadway transfer. I’d be gutted to lose this cast but it is of course inevitable in the end.
Then I went on Monday evening and was delighted to see Sean on as Charles again (third time seeing him now). He’s so great in the role, if utterly chaotic when it comes to handling the props! I also noted Tash reference his moustache in an early scene, which I hadn’t heard before…
Speaking of Tash, after an extended interval an announcement was made that Monty would be played by Holly Sumpton during the second act. Fortunately I’d seen her excel in the role before and knew we would be in safe hands. I especially enjoyed Sean’s opening ad libbed line of “Monty, have you done something with your hair?” to the laughter and applause of the audience.
Hopefully Tash recovers soon. She tweeted it was a hand injury sustained during Just For Tonight - neither me or anyone around us noticed anything during the number so that’s testament to her professionalism I suppose!
We also nearly had a punch up in the front row of the dress circle towards the end of act 2! Not quite sure what happened but there was a right old ding dong going on between a woman in the centre of the row and the woman sat behind her. It carried on post-show and resulted in one of the women giving the other the finger. Delightful.
This remains my favourite show playing in London right now. I never imagined I’d be the type of person to see a show 10 times and already be hit with the anxiety of not having an eleventh trip in the diary but here we are.

Torn ligament apparently... now that's commitment to a performance! Especially considering she finished the act! Looks like a second cover situation next week, then, considering there's holiday booked within the company too. The first second cover performances the show's ever had.

So Holly was amazing yesterday but I can't help but feel slightly bad for her - the problem is that Natasha is so perfect in the role that it is always going to feel like a downgrade. Like I said, Holly was wonderful and if Natasha hadn't spoiled the role for me, I'd be going nuts about how great Holly was.
