Glad to hear you got a decent seat. I'm not surprised at lack of dayseat lines at the mo. September is notably a quiet month after the Summer, kids went back to school today, no one has money because Summer is expensive, all the tourists have left and its a Monday so its quieter anyway. Also,alot of fans of this show have clicked on thst this show has a very open dayseat policy where there isn't too much pressure to get there as soon as the box office opens, they tend to be kind and accomadate even if you turn up just an hour before the show.

Really hope you enjoy Bonnie and the show!

I've heard she is very, very funny based on twitter. It sounds like she is going to be a great addition to the show.

She will indeed. She is ridiculously talented, hardworking and the epitome of the professionalism. She's spent more that 50 years in the business and no one has a bad word to say about her. I mean - on Broadway aged 10 - starring alongside Angela Lansbury - she's learned from and worked with the best throughout her career. Come to think of it she'd make one hell of a Rose now.

C J is definitely leaving this time and Steph is staying on as cover for Dorothy and Maggie. She is debuting Maggie on 20th, 21st and 22nd Sept.

She was! I loved her. Had me in stitches at times. Her facial expressions are a picture! ( You will be pleased to know she does not hobble out of the wheelchair on to the couch!!!)

Well - that’s what makes the world go around Dippy - Different opinions. For me that moment was cringeworthy. Glad you liked her, I did not and was glad to see the back of her.

I don't think Lulu deserved the flack she got but I agree, different opinions. My rank of Dorothy's I've seen is:

I ended up getting a front row rush ticket yesterday, so also ended up rearranging all of my plans so I could be in London. Worth it to get a good seat this early in Bonnie's run.

Thankfully, no technical problems and Clare was back to being perfect.

I've seen all of them before in those roles, apart from Tom Partridge. His take on Bert was much younger (no grey hair) and he generally played as straight man foil for Maggie. He probably needs a few more days to get comfortable.

Jasna Ivir was as the stage door as I walked past, a few minutes before the start of the show. Full costume and make up, having a quick smoke.

Audience was fairly full and generally well-behaved. There was a German family behind me who talked through the overture, but thankfully stopped when the show started. Somewhere near, a man was explaining to (what I took what his elderly) mother that she did know who Bonnie Langford was. I think it was the same woman who loudly said, "look it's Bonnie" when she came on stage and proceeded to try and sing several songs. So the usual annoyances with that.

Anyway, on to Bonnie. Marvelous. She got entrance applause and, of course, a standing ovation at the end. Already with lots of neat touches to show what a command of the stage she has and you could tell she was having to hold back to look a much worse dancer than she really is. Nailed Boulevard. And also synchronised perfectly with Clare during Quarter To Nine.

A couple of line flubs, but covered well. One line where she came in too early, but again most people wouldn't have noticed. Has the potential to be the best Dorothy Brock yet.

The show is in safe hands.

I know its not exactly what you are asking but I have sat in A21 and both the view and legroom were spectacular (6'6") - I know that lots on here have sat in the AA section so will be able to give you an answer about that but if it doesn't sound ideal then I would highly recommend this and A22. Have booked these seats again for closing night.
