Is the Dominion far too big for Me and My Girl? Of course it's too big! That will need a medium size theatre for a limited run I imagine! Ha! Well, Kenwright put Evita in there.

i wouldn’t be shocked if My Fair Lady goes to the Dominion next Autumn
While it’s seen every show is closing, it’s just the nature of the West End, if nothing closed we wouldn’t get new shows

SpongeBobs Twitter was active this morning if this comes to London I’m there. I wanted to see it on my New York trip in jan but it’s closed. It would be a great fit in the dominion.

When School of Rock closes, which I get the vibe will be in the next year, I think it would also be a great fit for either SpongeBob or My Fair Lady. If you look at the theatre for My Fair Lady on Broadway, the stage setup is strikingly similar to the Gillian Lynne theatre!

The Gillian Lynne stage is no where near big enough for the My Fair Lady set - it was my original thought, but did some digging and its just too small.

I suspect if MFL does come over, it’ll based on the upcoming US tour set

I strongly doubt SpongeBob would come to the UK. Don't get me wrong, I'd be first in line for a top-price ticket if it were to come in, and I would LOVE to see it in the Dominion, but it's more of a far-off distant hope rather than a viable prediction.

If SoR were to close next year, this new adaption of Starlight Express could go quite nicely into the Gillian Lynne. In fact I've not been in there in years but feel like there's potentially already a likely trackway round the stalls/auditrium. Bin off the big automated bridge and they could be onto a winner.. In fact the more I think about it, the better it sounds.

It’s very unlikely the Drury Lane refurb will be delayed....

Out of curiosity, why are so many predicting/hoping for a Starlight Express return? Is that something that’s been rumoured? Is the show any good? (i’ve never seen it)

(i’ve never seen it) They workshopped some revisions to it at The Other Palace fairly recently with performances; developing it based on feedback from the audience. So there must be some intention for a reincarnation of it soon.

I have a weird relationship with School of Rock. It's good, and fun, but there is just something about it that I don't like, and I still can't quite put my finger on it. I don't mind if it ends it's run soon to be honest, that's a great theatre and space for big shoes to go in and transform it.

With the sudden news of Eugenius cancelling their transfer, could we see a show going in there over Christmas to cover their run?
If they are willing to do a cast change for Carrie, could Heathers potentially go there for an extension throughout December and early January? Its a perfect size and the fangirls would be off school so perfect timing!

Its a perfect size and the fangirls would be off school so perfect timing! I suspect the Ambassadors will have a new show by December and transferring a show for only a month and a half wouldn’t be worth it and it’s too expensive, the Ambassadors is a lot smaller stage wise compared to the Haymarket
