I know this thread seems more for predicting what's gonna fill the main houses but i'm wondering if any of our in the know people know anything tabout Violet going into the Charing Cross Theatre in Jan? There was this article from June here but i've not heard anything since and if it's in Jan you'e be expecting news around now. Is it still happening or what? Was it ever happening and that article was false? What? I got introduced to one of the songs quite randomly because Dex Lee performed Let It Sing at the recent Curve Birthday Concert and i loved it and it made me quite excited to see a production of it.

Violet as in the musical Lauren Ward and Sutton Foster did? If so, I'd like to see that one have a limited run. I've wanted to see it for a while, it's a good score!

There's something on twitter about today being Mean Girls day, October 3rd, so it has been hinted that there may be an announcement of sorts coming.

It’s officially Mean Girls day! And on Wednesdays, we wear pink - so even more special.
If we were gonna get an announcement anytime soon, it would have been daft not to announce it today.

Am I the only one who doesnt expect an announcement for a while? Everyone seems to think this will open tomorrow in London, but I'm not expecting it until at least late 2019/2020. It only just opened on Broadway this year and usually these things take ages and they prioritise a US Tour before us.

I'm expecting it to open or have first preview on Mean Girls day 2019, but they will hold the announcement until 9-5 has opened as announcing your next show before the current one has even opened doesn't sit right. I mean, announcing it in February would still leave 6 months or so to build sales and hype for Mean Girls.

I reckon the announcement for this will be Mean Girls Day (October 3rd) next year, for an opening Spring 2020.
It’s a simple show to stage but I imagine they’ll want to focus on US Tour first.

Shocked we never got anything today I think 9 to 5 finishes in August Mean Girls cast will get into rehearsals end of next August, and then it first preview October 3rd. 2019 it makes sense great promo for them they could do a mean girls fan competition to the first preview

I don’t get it - why do we think we’ll get an announcement today? Have I missed something?
Also it’s waaaaay more likely to come on a Thursday from Baz.

Today is “Mean Girls Day” because of a line from the film. But I think it’s only one poster who was expecting an announcement today! It’s way too early considering it only opened 6 months ago on Broadway.

I think it might be more realistic to open next year on Mean Girls Day... but I suspect it hasn’t recouped in the US yet, never mind going international.

Whilst I fully expect Mean Girls to open in the West End (and probably at the Savoy) in 2019/20 I feel like it’s far too early to get the announcement for it. I can see ‘Mean Girls day’ playing a part in the announcement/booking period/opening next year but not this.

Mean Girls - Savoy end of next year Anastasia - Picadilly (shocked nothings been announced for Anastasia yet) Frozen - Drury Lane Dear Even Hansen - Noel Coward wonder which of these four will be announced next?

Of those four, Evan Hansen will be the next one announced. Then it will be Mean Girls, and then Frozen.
I wouldn't be so sure Anastasia will come anytime soon.

Why are people so sure Anastasia is coming over? I really don’t think it will be playing the west end anytime soon.

Evan Hansen, Mean Girls, Frozen, My Fair Lady all will be over here way before Anastasia is even discussed I think. I doubt we will see Anastasia until late 2020 at the earliest but am rrady to be proven wrong.

I don’t think there’s a market for Anastasia here if I’m honest.
