"She is messy, but she's kind" It seems odd that that is sung by Katherine McPhee, who in every Waitress photo I've seen of her has that all-American, perfectly groomed look. Messy is about the last word I'd use to describe either her or her character. I took it to mean that her life is messy, not necessarily her.

Here’s another promo, this time with Kat, Marisha and Laura! I wonder if they’ll start putting these up as posters in the tube stations etc? I like them! 😍

Maybe she doesn’t keep her knicker drawer tidy 😬 I mean, given the plot of Waitress, do you really wanna go there?! 😆

I like these new ones much more than the other one with “She’s had enough of this shift”

Me, too! I think the posters look really appealing and quite adorable, and really give more of a sense of the themes/ story.

These won't help with sales though.

These won't help with sales though. Of course; advertising a show definitely won’t help with sales. What a terrible idea.

I'm not an expert in marketing, but it's obvious they could do better at advertising. For starters they could use Sara's name, or include "Tony nominated" if they want to attract any attention.

They clearly understood that name droppings like Broadway, Tonys, SB, KMP do nothing for UK audiences so they are probably trying to showcase the cast and the story more. I swear this board isn't satisfied with anything 😂

Whatever they do, people on this board will say that they should do the opposite.

Whatever they do, people on this board will say that they should do the opposite. I disagree. Being someone who has said I don't like their marketing strategy for this show from day one, despite liking the show generally, I would happily welcome some positive steps forward rather than what they have been doing thus far. Even small things such as more cheaper options like extended dayseat policy, rush seats and cheaper prices would be a step in the right direction.

What show posters do tell you what the show is about? Also, nobody really knows who Sara or Kat are so I'm not sure name dropping them would really help.

If anyone is interested in seeing the show next week, it looks like it’s Charlotte Riby who’s covering Marisha whilst she’s on holiday 👍 http://instagram.com/p/Bwe-yBWBYEt

Following on from Kat's appearance a little while ago, Jack McBrayer's on Sunday Brunch on C4 this morning.

Following on from Kat's appearance a little while ago, Jack McBrayer's on Sunday Brunch on C4 this morning. ...and being quite gentle and amusing. My hazy 19 year old son stumbled downstairs and recognised his voice from ‘Wreck It Ralph’ immediately. Perhaps the poster should say ‘starring 30 Rock and ‘Wreck It Ralphs’ Jack McBrayer, rather than KMP? Drunken student types would flock.

See physically, this would make sense opposite Laura Baldwin! He's cute, and sure the character is creepy creeperson but at least the age would be more appropriate than what the current situation is!

I saw Caitlin as Dawn on her first Broadway run and thought she was brilliant, so I’m happy to see she’s going back. Hoping for some London casting news soon though (Jenna & Ogie, obvs.)

I saw Noah Galvin in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway. He took over from Ben Platt and wasn't in the show for very long. To put it bluntly, I thought he was abysmal. Without a strong Evan, the whole show really suffered. Waitress are welcome to him (I also think he's a bit young to play Ogie isn't he?).

I agree he may be too young for Ogie, but paired with Laura Baldwin who looks about 12, I'd much rather his look than that of Jack who makes an already weird character even weirder.

Hoping for some London casting news soon though (Jenna & Ogie, obvs.) Caitlin is perfect as Dawn. I think my fave of all the Dawn’s I’ve seen - the perfect mix of sweetness and geekiness but also not tooooo OTT. And she has a great voice. I think Laura’s portrayal is in the same bracket 😍

Oh I love Noah Galvin! He was fabulous in 'The Real O'Neals'.
I think he's taking over as Ogie on Broadway though isn't he, not London's glitzy West End?

He is, for some reason there's a lot of discussion of the Broadway production in the West End thread and not the dedicated Broadway thread: www.theatreboard.co.uk/thread/6416/waitress Any mod fancy having a bit of a tidy up, so as not to get our hopes up that Jack McBrayer has finally conceded defeat and moved onto a project at which he can actually excel?
