Toxic Avenger Saturday Night Fever (London Palladium version) I’d love an even bigger revival of SNF. I think they could actually make it pay with the right people & going bigger instead of smaller. I loved it at the Palladium then it just got smaller & smaller & smaller. I’ve just been down a ‘Carrie’ rabbit hole on youtube and would love a chance to see a decent crack at this too.

Every time I go to the Crucible in Sheffield it makes me want them to revive Chess. That stage would make a perfect chess board!

Every time I go to the Crucible in Sheffield it makes me want them to revive Chess. That stage would make a perfect chess board! I love the score to Chess. I've only it once and that was that terrible thing at ENO. Cheated and robbed! After the success of Saigon perhaps we petition Sheffield to give us the blockbuster musicals

Chess is coming back to broadway with Lea Michelle supposedly - though rumours abound that she's now too busy and they're holding off for a few seasons til she's available.

I'd love to see Ride the Cyclone. I think it could be great on a limited run, marketed to the generation of fans brought up on Heathers etc. From what I know of it, it would be easy enough to adapt to pretty much any stage size.
Urinetown as mentioned previously, as I've not seen it.
I'd also LOVE another outing for Yeast Nation but I fear the poor reviews (TOTALLY unfair in my opinion as I LOVED it at Southwark) will keep it on ice for a while.

I've just discovered William Finn's A New Brain and it's got some cracking songs in it. Listened to And They're Off and I'd Rather Be Sailing about 5 times this evening.
Has it ever been done in the UK?

I'd love to see Heathcliff revived, with an age appropriate cast and a fresh vision. I think its got some great songs and has potential away from being a Cliff Richard vanity project.

Once. It was pencilled in to tour at the venue I worked at years ago but never happened. I think with the right cast this could do well on tour.

Once was due to tour in 2020, I had tickets to see it at The Alex, other tours during that time which didn’t happen or complete their run I had tickets for Curtains, On your feet, Million dollar quartet, My best friends wedding, Sunny afternoon, Thriller and Phantom. Such a shame as 5 of the 8 I’ve never seen.

Applause! Could surely get a nice revival somewhere like The Southwark Playhouse, no? Tracie Bennett strikes me as being perfect for it, if a touch too old.

Ghost- never caught this the first time round Sweet baby Jebus, please never let this embarrassment of a musical ever come back. Horrible night of theatre.

Sweet baby Jebus, please never let this embarrassment of a musical ever come back. Horrible night of theatre. It wasn't that bad. It was a lot better than Back To The Future.

The Witches of Eastwick - I don’t mind if it is the London version or with the subsequent re-writes as long as they keep Bill Brohn’s orchestrations

Sweeney Todd, Curtains and Kiss me Kate I'd love if we got Curtains again but this time much closer in look and feel to the original Broadway production. What a joy that was.

Stop faffing around with 'Evita' and just revive the iconic (and never bettered) Hal Prince original for a limited season.

The recent (2013) production at Chichester was very good - surprisingly as it was directed by Timothy Shreader (imfamously CamMac had a falling out with him as shown on a doctumentary at the time )although the leading man was nothing "special".This version later toured with Brian Coneley. The Meiner Chocolate Factory version (2018) was NOT due to the horrendous charisma lacking Marcus Bridgstock. The show really needs a multi talented leading man but then I was lucky to see the first (and last) night of Michael Crawford in the Palladium's first run. It's not a show I particularly like but if it was to be revived, Charlie Stemp is the only actor I can think of that could pull it off. Being revived this summer at the Watermill. Let’s see if they can repe their amazing success with LOTR with Barnum!

Oh goodness I had this on VHS years ago... I seem to remember it having quite a gorgeous score. What was the big/well known number in it?

I've just found the cast recording on Apple Music. This could be a fun listen!
A Misunderstood Man was the track I was referring to in my previous post.
