Did a lot of research into the Oliviers and the shows nominated and have made some predictions. Please note these may not be my personal opinion and these are based just off of research (there's some shows that have been nominated that I haven't seen).
Best New Play: Hangmen
Best New Musical: Kinky Boots
Best Play Revival: The Winter's Tale
Best Musical Revival: Gypsy
Best New Comedy: Peter Pan Goes Wrong
Best Entertainment and Family: The Lorax
Best Leading Actor in a Play: Mark Rylance
Best Leading Actress in a Play: Denise Gough
Best Leading Actor in a Musical: Matt Henry
Best Leading Actress in a Musical: Imelda Staunton
Best Supporting Actor in a Play: David Suchet
Best Supporting Actress in a Play: Judi Dench
Best Supporting Actor in a Musical: Peter Davison
Best Supporting Actress in a Musical: Emma Williams

I was wondering if there was someone on this board who could give me urgent advice about tomorrow. I am thinking of going to get autographs but I haven't any clue of where to go (do I just go to the theatre at a certain time to catch them as they go in?) and I have no clue what time to be there. Do they sign? Help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!  Hi hamiltonaddict! The Oliviers say that "wristbands will be issued for fans who want to line the carpet & see the stars - first come first served basis!", so if you wander over to the Royal Opera House you won't miss the carpet and I'm sure there'll be people around to ask. I guess it's up to you how early you want to arrive based on how long you're prepared to wait, my guess is that some will be there all day - though I believe the tickets say guests should be seated by 6.15pm so that's some timing to go by. They usually do pictures/autographs along the red carpet if previous years & award ceremonies are anything to go by! Sorry I've nothing more concrete, I hope that's a little clearer! |

Okay this prediction thing could be fun, let's keep it to those 12 categories, if anyone else does it and let's have a very informal competition who gets the nearest or gets all 12 right.

A lot of people have been predicting In the Heights to win for the music category but lets not forget Cyndi Lauper is also attending the awards ceremony, and actually performing too... so I wouldn't be too surprised if she won either.

Terri Paddock was on Sky News this morning talking about the Oliviers. I missed much of it-it was on in the gym. But there was the wonderful moment where the subtitles said
"Fingers crossed for Dick Cumberbatch"

The Oliviers just tweeted these photos and video which may give us an indication of the performances for BILB and Kinky Boots with the costumes used in the scenes... any guesses?

They also posted this... which are the shoes used in Sex is in The Heel for Kinky Boots so the assumption is it is that number for the Oliviers! I hope so, it is one of the best in the show!

It's possible they are doing are mixing a few together for Kinky Boots. I saw a tweet the other day that they were learning the extra bits added for the Oliviers performance and Jerry has been in to put it together with them. So it's for sure not just a standard performance of one of the songs/scenes, it's something a bit different.
