Shaping up into one of those weeks which each day gets progressively worse and you just really hope that it's going to contain itself to the week. Nothing major just those one thing after another that ware you down.

I got home at 9pm from a trip to see Oklahoma in Eastbourne and in the last two hours I have

Learnt that Bat Out of Hell is back next year and Secret Garden is a possibility, also that Blitz will be at the Union Theatre and Monsoon Wedding at the Roundhouse. All Must Sees.

Booked to see the Arts Ed productions of Freaky Friday and The Wild Party.

Booked a preview performance for The Last Five Years at Southwark Playhouse.

Booked to see an amateur production of Tom Sawyer musical on a Sunday afternoon which nicely combines with Zorro at Cadogan Hall the same evening.

None of which would probably have happened without Theatre Board. I so love my theatre-going life and this forum is such a useful and fascinating place.

I was supposed to go to the dentist today. Thanks for the Cambridge traffic I didn't. After waiting 20 mins for a bus to arrive it then took an hour for it to go about 2 miles. I could have walked it faster, were it not that it was raining heavily. While I didn't exactly want to go to the dentist, it would have been go to get it over & done with.

Dentist re-booked for early tomorrow morning *shudders*.

Used a fountain pen for years for work until they were banned as not being permanent, now in a new role and have started using one again.

Is that since Bic stopped making ballpoints with green ink? 🙂

Solo trip to Shepherds Bush Empire to see Flying Colors this evening.

Sat next two Lithuanians who were on great form enjoying the gig, one went to the bar came back with three drinks saying I don’t like it when we drink and you aren’t so here is a glass of wine even though we had not spoken till then.

They were great fun, raised my spirits with their bonhomie and pure friendliness and really made a special gig more so.

Sad to reflect on the isolationist path we have chosen, but also glad to live in London where the true value of our friends in Europe can be appreciated.

Huh? Disposable fountain pens are a thing? That's mad. It means you can't change the colour of it, I always loved mixing inks to make a nice blue/green mixture.

Alright, aright then, very clever, one that isn't disposable and returns itself to your drawer would be pretty amazing though, wouldn't ever have to worry about losing it! However having looked online for disposable fountain pens I'm not sure I see why you would pick one over a normal fountain pen that can last for years. Maybe it's the hassle of having to buy cartridges or having ink pots and refillable cartridges? 

Did anyone else get absolutely drenched post-theatregoing last night? It was tipping it down when I had to walk from the Vaudeville to Holborn tube station. I think it's the heaviest rain I've ever experienced in London. After a few minutes I gave up even bothering to avoid puddles because my shoes were so wet they couldn't get any wetter. I had to shower when I got home, at half past midnight. It was one of those occasions where you start to wonder if theatregoing is really worth the effort, especially as already my matinee plans had to be completely changed as I couldn't get to Alexandra Palace as no trains were running due to a body on the line (the second time in just over a month my theatregoing has been screwed up for that reason).
