Great to hear this, I might try and get to the Barbican tomorrow night if logistics allow. Do you remember any of the setlist at all?

Every year I say I will go to these concerts.
Every year the Christmas-New Year idleness creeps in and I can never be bothered.

I'm not feeling great though and I'm not sure if I can bring myself to get home from London at 10pm tonight. Might stay on the meds for now and decide later. Sounds great though, glad you enjoyed it 😁

Kerry is doing a nearly-3-week run at Zedel in September.... www.brasseriezedel.com/live-at-zedel/kerry-ellis-2018?date=128539706Foe those who might not know, it's a fabulous little intimate cabaret venue, a great opportunity to see major talent up close and personal. Rachel Tucker's gig there last year was one of the best things I've ever been to!

Kerry is doing a nearly-3-week run at Zedel in September.... Just booked for this on the 15th of September, going with my mum! So excited to see Kerry perform, have been a fan of hers for as long as I remember, I love her albums and listen to them all the time but am yet to get a chance to see her live (booked very last minute tickets to see Wonderland last year without checking to see if she did matinees so I missed her) . Looking forward to seeing who her musical guests will be, I could imagine Louise Dearman making an appearance in at least one performance! My dream would be Brian May but maybe a bit of a small venue and I know Queen and Adam Lambert are touring later on in the year!

He joined her at the Shaw theatre many years ago so stranger things have happened.

Finally got round to booking tickets for her 20th anniversary tour. Kerry's one of those performers who I keep saying I'll go and see live at their own gig but still haven't as of yet, so I'm looking forward to it. Didn't realise she was doing a residency at Zedel, I'll probably book for at least one of those, really like that little venue

I'm sure they did, it was filmed months ago.
I remember the ads going out for superfans of Jane to get in touch to appear on the show. I'm not sure if Kerry was one of the applicants 😉

Saw Kerry's concert last night, very good show. First half was songs she had recorded with Brian May, second half was songs mainly from roles she had played. Excellent value as I got good stalls seat for only £18 with ATG card.
Kerry had a funny moment trying to climb onto her stool for a ballad and we thought she was joking when she said she'd carried her own stool with her but when we met her after the show she had her stool with her, queue a few Westlife jokes.
She also had to put mic between her legs to open her water bottle in concert and said it will be embarrassing if you hear any unexpected noises she then realised what she had said and got a bit embarrassed. A guy in the row in front of me said "Especially if from the front" to his partner and this raised a big laugh in our area and a few shocked looks from some younger fan girls.

Did anyone see her performance on Jane McDonald & Friends? I thought it was a good performance and I loved her outfit, just wish she'd got to do more on the show!

Yes its a pity that the guests, particularly Kerry only got to do one song. Would have loved a duet with Jane.

I went to the same event at Cardiff St David’s Hall last year with Lucie and Kerry but also Sophie Evans, Matt Cardle and Noel Sullivan and I can confirm it was brilliant. There was also a support act from a youth drama school who did stuff from Matilda, Little Shop of Horrors and Dear Evan Hansen and were really quite fabulous!

Saw her as herself for the first time in a postponed Edinburgh concert on Saturday. Some of the material in the first half hour was a bit mediocre (mostly from her new album) but once she got onto better songs it was a terrific show. Relying on the audience to sing all of Glinda's part in For Good was decidedly risky, but the fans did well in the end. Lots of stuff to please the Queen and Wicked fans, a new Frank Wildhorn song that hasn't been recorded yet, and her final phrase of Someone to Love demonstrated why she has the best belt in the West End, controlled, exciting, pitch perfect and sustained for forever. Well impressed.

Well impressed. I saw her in MK a couple of weeks ago and agree with you on pretty much everything! There wasn't enough theatre content if I'm being picky - it was a celebration of her 20 years and she could've done bits from Oliver, Cats, Les Mis etc, rather than so much album stuff, but on the whole I really enjoyed it and she was fantastic 😁

Saw her show at Zedel last night, REALLY enjoyed it (even if I was rather short),she sung a variety of songs; some take that, Coldplay, Queen, My Fair Lady, Greatest Showman and more that I can't remember right now! No 'Wicked' though which surprised me! A sold out audience who were well behaved and enthusiastic (although their was a man and a woman in the very front with there table literally lined up with the centre of the stage who seemed to cry throughout, but at least it was quiet crying!). Kerry had great audience interaction, getting us to join in with Somebody to Love, she pulled a woman out the audience for the final song (This Is Me) asked her if she knew the song, then when she said yes handed her the microphone and let her take over, she had a fantastic voice and Kerry (as well as the audience) was clearly very impressed! The guest performer for the evening was Ollie Crouch a young performer from Matilda who had a stunning voice! Constant hair tucking whilst she was speaking but not whilst she was singing luckily, she was wearing a very short dress and when she climbed up on to her bar stall she had on the stage the first time there was nearly some knicker flashing but she managed to save herself just in time and sat down more carefully after that! She had written down different songs on bits of paper and put them in a jar and got audience members to pick out some of the songs that she would sing that evening (she called the jar her 'Love Box' and amused herself greatly by asking members of the audience to stick their hand in her Love Box). Craig Adams on the piano who I had met about 13 years ago when he was Joseph in the UK tour and I was in the choir, he still has the same haircut! Met Kerry afterwards and managed to get a photo where I look a bit like Hagrid! Lovely venue have never been there before but definitely plan to go there again!

I went on Thursday and the special guest was Ria Jones who sang a couple of songs and was an utter joy with her banter and stories!
I enjoyed the rest of the show but some of the song choices were not what I would have chosen. We had a Wicked song. Someone picked "For Good" out the box and she did it as a duet with someone in the audience which was lovely.
Worth the money for "This is Me" alone.
