The BBC seem to have an obsession with Emili Sande. You never see her anywhere else. It's down to who has something to promote at the moment as her, Robbie Williams and Sting have been on everything recently. I'm expecting one of them to order a hot pot in The Rovers next week. Robbie DID have a cameo in Eastenders a few years back

Brendan Coyle? Quite a departure from Downton Abbey

Brendan Coyle? Quite a departure from Downton Abbey Oh no it's the Ed Balls of next series haha
I think Brendan might have a couple of years left in him on Strictly yet- I know he's a bit Marmite-y but I've always loved his dance style and his personality. Anton I'd like to still see involved, perhaps if Karen Hardy becomes a judge he can take her slot on It Takes Two (he's not having Iain Waite's job, I spend all year looking forward to some Waite in my life again)

I don't know what all the tears were for with Len "retiring". He's just following the money to DWTS, laughing all the way to the bank. You'd think he might have pocketed enough by now but apparently not. Amazing how greedy they get isn't it? Nasty old goat!

So not following the money just cutting out the one that pays him the least I imagine!

Nice little money earner I would have thought.

Len could be very nasty at times....I am quite glad he has gone....we all went a bit gooey eyed at his actual leaving but he was grumpy and spiteful sometimes. Bruno also sometimes oversteps the mark and ends up mocking people in a distinctly mean way. Craig I like, he is just honest but not really malicious and always makes comment on what they should improve on. Darcy is ok....but she has taken to looking horrified at everything Criag says...stop it please. Karen Hardy.....hmmmm.....I'll give her a chance but I'm with the bring back Arlene Phillips brigade, although I know it will never happen!

I do hope the BBC withdraw all of the lucrative radio and tv jobs they've been feeding to Len over the last few years, given that he's made it clear where his loyalties lie.
They all showed that they'll drop their principles when it comes to taking Aubtie's Shilling with the way they laid into poor Claudia in that semi.
Bruno is a complete self-promoter and Darcey? Meh. Can she actually dance? She's always rubbish in the opening numbers.
Of all of them I think CRH is the most genuine. And he comes across as very charming in person I'm told.

I'm thrilled Len has gone, most of the words to describe him are probably a ban-able offence.
However, I don't think I'd last a series if Karen Hardy was judge (sorry @emicardiff). I would rather there be parity on the panel (two males, two females) but I'd take a taipan over her. Yes Len's replacement should be someone with a ballroom/latin background but please kabbalahmonster, not her.
Ore ruined this series for me, just as Candice did with Bake Off. Just glad it's over.

It's fair enough d'James I know she's not everyone's cup of sequins I won't mind if it's NOT her either, but likewise I'd like a 2 and 2 formation!

Can you believe that the replacement judge is going to be Mary Berry?!

Craig Revel Horwood is lovely. A friend of mine crewed on a panto he was in and he was hugely popular with all the cast and crew...something that cannot be said for many "celebs" in panto.

I really wished the BBC released the voting figures for this. Would love to see who came top each week and who was 2nd/3rd in the final and also to see how much Ore won it by!
ITV release their figures for all their talent shows and I know the BBC say I think could influence votes but that's rubbish now that the series is over!!

They have always said they didn't want to embarrass any celebs who did really badly in the voting. But then they went ahead and published the full figures for Sports Personality of the Year (which this year saw some really poor results for those at the bottom) It is somewhat inconsistent.

Hmm, possibly.
Despite wearing a beanie and a olive coloured puffer jacket I recognised Neil first and Otti standing next to him wearing glasses and a tan heavy overcoat.
You know how you have these moments when you do a double-take and question yourself? But as I passed, in his conversation he reference Catya (Is that how it's spelt?) so it confirmed that it was them.

bbc.in/shirleyballasNew head judge. Never heard of her, but she's the mother of one of the US pros and looks like she knows her stuff.

I'm excited- and glad they went for an actual expert rather than a 'name'. I don't know of her either but her credentials look great! Also nice to have another woman on the panel.

This is like a blast from the past. Used to watch Come Dancing in its 1990s incarnation when it was presented by Rosemarie Ford (Robert Lindsay's wife). Corky and Shirley Ballas were regulars as were the extraordinarily memorable Donnie Burns OBE and Gaynor Fairweather OBE (they always stressed the OBEs). It was all so gloriously over the top.
