I couldn’t imagine something I’d rather see less than the insufferable James Corden on stage again.
Pity as I love Anna Maxwell Martin.

Yeah Jamea Corden puts me off, and you know exactly the performance you'll get. He is the same in everything.

Can't stand JC, love AMM. Booked front row stage seats for a late preview.

Easiest booking process I’ve had with the Old Vic for a while! Splurged on some Dress Circle seats since, much as I’m not a fan of James Corden, this doesn’t sound like one to miss.

Not sure what I've booked but I've booked. Love Anna and don't hate James.

Definitely not going to be one to miss - I'm actually reasonably confident he'll be pretty good in this too (it's not a comedy in case anyone wasn't sure)
AMM is spectacular so worth whatever you pay.

JC will be playing “a serviceman in the midst of a crisis”. A serviceman! Corden! Ahahaha

I believe that the original hope was for this to run straight after the Band Aid musical but casting the female lead part incurred the delay. Had heard a rumour that it might not all come together in time for the June-August slot and might be delayed but am pleased to find out that the excellent Anna Maxwell Martin was available to make it all happen now. Didn’t love the last Old Vic/Penhall offering - Mood Music - but hopefully this will be an all-round stronger piece.

Corden was brilliant in Gavin and Stacey and One Man Two Guvnors. However, I can't stand him since he became a big talk show host in America, huge ego, horror stories of treating people poorly etc, no desire to see this despite Anna Maxwell Martin, who I am sure will be wonderful.

Big queue now!
Let's hope Joe Penhall has still got it. Blue Orange was excellent - has anyone seen anything he has written since then? The Old Vic can be an unforgiving venue.

Wow, it’s expensive after opening night isn’t it. Some of the prices double! Think I’ll hang on for PWC preview or later releases once front row’s confirmed.

As a depiction of the music industry, and particularly the moment of song-writing I didn't believe a word of it. It was largely a ding-dong between two sparring characters; so I hope Penhall doesn't again lapse into that false play writing trait of 'keep the argument going at any cost, however contrived'. The two person cat-and-mouse sounds like this play's dynamic again.

Can't stand JC, love AMM. Booked front row stage seats for a late preview. I did the same for an early preview. I hadn't realised that some seats were ringfenced for members (I'll never know if it made a difference for me, but I'm delighted with my seats and what I paid for them).

Very reasonable total price for a play I expect will sell well - there has been a consistent queue of 4000+ customers since booking opened this morning.

Got my favourite cheap end of row Q seat for the only day I could see this which worked out well. Wouldn't have travelled to London just for this but since I'm already going to be there at the end of July thought it was worth 22 quid just to see AMM, even though Corden is not really my cup of tea.
