Am actually contemplating giving it a miss this year. The queuing and crowds are crazy!

I think I'm too old for the long standing & queues now.

Same here. Stopped going as I can no longer stand all day. I used to get invites to the seated area but don't get them anymore. I will have to stick to watching the videos online. I was clearing out some old videos on my laptop at the weekend and found a video of a performance when it used to be held in Leicester Square. How things have changed.

I guess it was because of the close proximity of the half-priced ticket booth.

Dates clash with Taylor Swift at Wembley. Good luck finding affordable accommodation if you're travelling down.

How early do people queue for this? What time should I be arriving to actually get in?

I suppose it is technically a dance show, but I always find it funny that they have Magic Mike Live appear at this every year. I’m certainly not averse to a bit of eye candy but there’s something so awkward about them getting their kit off in the middle of Trafalgar Square.

How early do people queue for this? What time should I be arriving to actually get in? Reports on this board last year had people queuing up at 4 a.m. I don't know when doors open, but the Square was at capacity pretty quickly, I believe. Also, existing shows would be the first to be presented as the actors need to get back to their theatres for the Saturday and Sunday matinees. Last year's thread: West End Live 2023 Comments

On the second day, expect a wait for an hour or two. Second day is usually all the newer musicals and smaller shows. On the first day, good luck. That's all the big shows.

First time since I moved here I'm actually not going to bother attending.
Unfortunately, as good as it is, and a great 'boost' for the West End, unfortunately it's outgrown this space and the length of time queuing to get is just not worth it. That's time I'm never going to get back.

That's time I'm never going to get back. That was very much my feeling after last year's... Went with friends and we all felt like we had wasted time when we could've been, I don't know, watching one of the shows.
Plus, since all the performances are uploaded to Youtube, there wasn't really any reason for us to haul ourselves down there to catch anything exclusive.
And about that... I didn't realize there were crowd sweeping shots in those videos. I didn't realize how grumpy I was that day until I played it back and spotted myself and saw the look on my face..!

Put everyone on a float and parade through the streets. It's worked for the Lord Mayor's Show for centuries!

Always find it exciting with the new/upcoming shows as their involvement tends to mean news. Ie, 42 Balloons transferring? Benjamin Button casting? Closer to Heaven extending?

Not that it answers your question, but, Gates open Saturday at 10:15 and Sunday at 11:15. That gives 45 minutes to fill the Square before the shows start.

Schedule is out. Godbless those who are going.
"Surprise Show" at 12:25pm Sunday wedged between Heathers the Musical and Closer to Heaven... Are we getting a show and cast announcement?
Its placement makes me think the show will be something more youth-focused and popular with a younger audience? We'll see.

Surprised to see CHF exposing herself after the Cinderella WEL debacle.

Surprised to see CHF exposing herself after the Cinderella WEL debacle. Oh I'm sure "it's gonna go badly" and we'll hear about it on social media afterwards.
Unfortunately there's only a few here I would even slightly consider going up to London to see. I won't.
Like a viper I am only really interested in the surprise show! Even if it could be the Finellis

Always interesting to see how long some slots are... 42 Balloons has a 15 minute slot with no offical announcement for it's further life... yet 🤔

So with goss gathered, it seems that The Wild Party will no longer be performing, and the surprise show is Bat Out Of Hell, which will be going on a UK tour in 2025.
Good luck to those bravely going over the top. I salute you...
