Relieved to hear that it's not just me, but it IS odd. Why don't they fix their issues and update the site to a new and modern look and feel? It seems as if time stopped in the nineties... I had that with Telecharge a little while back. I tried three different cards, two different devices, and two different wifis, but it just wouldn't work. Sucks to be them, I was willing to buy a full price ticket but ended up getting the same show from TKTS for a helluva lot less. I, too, would fork out $150 for my ticket, but they don't seem to want to sell tickets. But as Beetlejuice is a new show, I'm not sure if it will be offered on TKTS when I'm over there - and I neither want to risk not getting a ticket at all, which is why I usually book the shows I really want to see ahead. Well, I'll give it another try tomorrow.

Telecharge once worked very, very well, but as of late it has been filled with glitches.

Two more unsuccessful tries on two more devices, so I emailed them. They did reply, but didn't even seem to read my email, as all they said was No, they can't, that's why I emailed you in the first place.
Edit: And their reply to my follow-up email: So frustrating - it's like talking to a wall.
Hello, Telecharge, a customer is threatening to spend $150...

Can you try using a Virtual Network to disguise that you are not in the USA? My idea was quite the opposite, use a proxy server to pretend I was in the US. My best guess is that, for some reason, their site has some issues with international customers.
But by the end of November, I'm in the US anyway, so I might just wait until then and try booking a ticket from over there. In the meantime, I shall be spending my money for Ms Barks.

I booked tickets for Beetlejuice from Germany via Telecharge without any problem at all... Odd. Still not working for me, at least five more unsuccessful attempts in the last two days. My ticket for Pretty Woman however was booked in 2min - but they're using Ticketmaster.

Sorry to hear that. I just went through Playbill onto the official Telecharge website, picked the seats for the performance I wanted, paid by credit card and was done. The confirmation email arrived a few minutes later.

I've seen worse reviews. In fact I've only seen the Washington Times review, which was a pan. Haven't seen any others. Yes it will transfer.
The theatre is booked and funding all lined up. Producers don't stop shows just because of an out of town tryout.

You better be right. After Bat blew up in my face, I might as well tear up my plane ticket if Beetlejuice would cancel Broadway now

Maybe try reading a wider range of reviews for a whole bunch of different shows then.

Don't worry, this show has so much money involved it's going to come to Broadway no matter what? The producers are hoping the tourist buy the tickets based on the name and not the reviews.
Telecharge is terrible. The website is super buggy and lets be honest, it needs an update still looks like the website was built in the early 2000s. I suggest maybe calling the box office? Maybe you will be able to buy tickets over the phone but, I have no idea what charges the BO and your phone provider might try to add...

I might as well tear up my plane ticket if Beetlejuice would cancel Broadway now At least you got a ticket for Beetlejuice And so do I - finally. Different devices, IP addresses, browsers (including emptying cache and cookies and using private mode) - nothing worked. But what finally did the trick was to book as a guest with a different email address rather than to use my existing account. Booking went through and I received the confirmation email shortly after. What a hard nut to crack. I'm a bit hesitant to book via phone, but not because of the international call charges: For some reason, booking tickets online for the Wicked tour in Orlando was not possible (it wasn't Telecharge, but they had their own system that I couldn't persuade to sell me tickets (story of my life, huh?)), so I eventually gave in and called them. I spelt my name and email address, but never received a confirmation, but as my credit card was charged successfully, I just assumed everything was fine (and my seats were shown unavailable on the seat map) and let it go. When I went to the box office to pick up my tickets, they had nothing in my name (and all variations I could think of) or email address. Looking by seat numbers wasn't possible, either, but after some fiddling around, entering my credit card number finally worked. The name on the ticket was nothing similar like my actual name - I do wonder that the booking actually went through.
In short: Once bitten, twice shy.

I am pretty sure this is not going to even get any tony nominations. Can't they just do moulin rouge. Can Perfect even write music?

You just said this less than a week ago. Get. A. Grip. You're instability is giving me a headache. But did not see those reviews that killed a show. those reviews are so awful even my sh*t looks nicer. If this makes it to broadway then I would be shocked.

The entire purpose of a pre-Broadway run is to get feedback from the audience (and to an extent, from the press too) to tweak the show before Broadway. Though there are circumstances when investors might pull out, this is probably a major production with very powerful backers. I wouldn't be surprised if Warner Bros had a stake in it.
This is not unusual at all. Shows get panned all the time. The question is if it will make it on Broadway, not if it will make it TO Broadway because that's all taken care of.

Everybody take a deep breath, this show has time between the DC run and Broadway to make the changes. It will be fine.

Word on the street is that the a two week lab is going to happen in January to put in all changes that have been made since the tryout and there has been major changes. Another rumor going around is that the producers are quietly looking for a new Beetlejuice for Broadway.
