The Schofield version didn't have a flying car. At Hammersmith, He flew either on or off stage on the giant moon moth. May be it flew to the stage from the roof and he flew back off the stage, up and out of sight.

If the same production as I took a group to see at Exeter (in an arena where they have the cows for the Devon County show!) it was AWFUL! Everyone came out and said the same, the kids were bored and at half time I was asked if we all wanted could we go now! I would liken it to a very vary bad AM Dram or a very cheap theme park show. To add I will not be doing this again. Perhaps it MAY be changed but BEWARE!!

There is a cd with the TINA logo on the front - but beware it is an old compilation of hits and not a cd of the show.

If anyone is interested - On Saturday 19/5 on channel 4 at 20.00 is a programme that has been shown on there before. It is about a strong theory that the Titanic was on fire before it sailed and this caused bulk heads to buckle, so certainly helped the sinking! Worth a watch guys!.

Your right it is called "Lady's Maid". Certainly do not agree with that review! My group to Cardiff on Saturday loved it. They all thought the music was wonderful even though all of them had never heard it before. But of course we all know some like, others don't that's life.

Just seen this at the WMC on Saturday. Looked like a full house and a fully appreciated audience. I have always loved this musical and as expected the company were excellent, with both the "old" and the "new" casts melding together as one. Now with bigger stages on tour little bits have been changed around the show. Mainly I think in the second act focusing around the sinking. I don't want to add any spoilers, just see what others think. Now looking forward to seeing this again in Plymouth in 7 weeks time.

A really good series, very funny and also rather sad in parts. Last programme next week but remember to swap to ITV£ right after to see the complete show!

Having seen the show about 3 times on tour and in London, there was always a lot of "mucking about" by Bill when wearing the coronet, cape and climbing a ladder I seem to remember. I have seen 2 comedians ( cant remember names) in the role and last time Gary Willmot hamming it up for more laughs. Perhaps some of you may think of the others that toured with it. I think even Robert Lindsey played it up years ago in London.

At last a really good song for the UK with what was needed many times before - a great hook to it. As was said above the Euro crowd will be singing with it as the audience did the other night. Who decides what songs go into the melting pot - they certainly don't seem to have any idea of what is needed. Agree the other songs were not much at all. Sounds a pity Portugal are not having LED screens, the settings for the songs are a second great attraction. Lets have a Portuguese Riverdance at half time or better still let Ryan interview all the handsome male singers, I am sure it would be more fun than the corny chats in the Green Room. Fingers crossed for SuRie.

Broadway World - 20th Century Fox looking at a "possible" Broadway show! I just felt first time I saw Frozen "that's going to be a musical" the way it was written and same goes for this now - could well be? Have LED screens behind for bigger circus scenes? Who knows.

Thanks for all the info SF. Having worked at the Royal for many years (ago)I have all the Posters, programmes etc some where in the house. That was as stated a great pairing of Rebecca and Maurice in Chess. I'm not sure now IF it was a Royal production. Rebecca came back to the Royal for Evita starting there and Maurice back for Brigadoon staring there as well.

Saw the film on Wednesday with a group of friends who knew nothing about the film - they all loved it, as did we. Totally agree all the way through with anthony40's review. Its light, colourful. speeds along and is the perfect film to enjoy for all the family. Yes it does not cover all the problems in his life and ends on a high, but can anyone of you say that the musical Barnum with Michael Crawford tells all and had a downbeat ending?? But the musical still plays and tours and people enjoy it. Look on it as an enjoyable couple of hours at the cinema. Love the music and look forward to buying the dvd when on sale!

I have to come up at weekends as a lot of my people work during the week and Cornwall isn't an easy place to get to London in a day. So we are the ones paying normal high ticket costs - NOT I add prime though. Just though so many of you can come in the week, how about getting together for a weekday group 10+ with discount?
