I do wonder how the 'forgetting part of the show' trick will be translated to film/if it will be showed at all!

Best seats to see the band for this? Are they visible well from seated stalls and circle?

I’m cautiously excited for this. Huge Derren Brown fan but this will hang on the balance of how good the magicians are. Any ideas who they are?

Anyone know why this months £15 tickets haven't gone on sale yet on TodayTix (I've checked both the website and app)? Am I looking at the wrong day? Maybe they go live at Midday? Not sure though. Think I’ll hold off and get the April release and see this again just before it closes. I wasn’t fussed about seeing Matthew Modine having enjoyed Rafe Spall so much. The reviews of his performance here have changed my mind!

Joe Mantello directing Levi Holloway's 'Grey House' at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway opening May 30th, previews from April 29th and boy what a cast...
Laurie Metcalf, Sophia Anne Caruso, Millicent Simmonds, Paul Sparks and Tatiana Maslany.
Play looks perfectly creepy, thrilling and spooky. Wish it was on this side of the Atlantic! At least we have the Pillowman.

Excited to see this on Sunday. Someone recommended his 'Book of Secrets' working well as post-show reading and a companion piece.
Just wondering, is there any mercy for sale? Maybe a cool poster?

Looking to get some 'magical Mondays' tickets booked in for The Lion King this week. Only day I can really go is Sunday's matinee. On ATG there's literally hundreds of unsold seats. Does this result directly in a lot more Magical Mondays tickets for that day? Obviously they will hold some back which may sell but what are my chances like? Anyone here 'In the know'?

Honestly, being farther back might be a good thing if this production retains the intensity of some of the scenes. I was six rows back at the recent BAM production and had to look away several times despite having a strong constitution for blood and the like. Can you please give a bit of detail? Thinking of booking but worried it’ll be a bit much. Not too keen on blood etc. Might read the book first?

5 stars in the Guardian for Showman in the West End. Booked. Anyone else been?

Considering booking a ticket at the back of the circle. Does it feel very far from the stage. Just think it would be nice seeing this show from that angle having seen it from the stalls before.

Still down for me. Went over to Today Tix to try there but tickets are more expensive. There's enough seats left to be patient for now. I want the points from the tickets at the Old Vic too!

Me too. Seems to already be selling well too! And that’s just on all of the advance booking. I’ll be straight on when I can on Monday. Wonder if it’ll be busy enough for a queuing system.

Unfortunately I couldn’t stand this. I was just sat wishing Disney had been involved. The worst sound design I’ve ever heard. It’s tinny, dry, sometimes quiet, sometimes jarringly loud and given the casts singing abilities it doesn’t do them any favours. Made the band sound like they were coming from a tape recorder. Unimpressive singing. I might be missing something but I wasn’t taken by the dancing or choreography. I was just bored. Maybe this style of production is just wasted on me though because everyone around me was whooping throughout.

The boys from Company came to mind earlier when thinking about casting. Alex Gaumond, Richard Fleeshman, Jonathan Bailey?

I'm very excited too. Saw this on Broadway but was considerably younger then and feel it will really hit different now. I'd be looking at trying to book in for a cheap preview ticket early on. Are these easy to get at the Old Vic? How does it work?

Also thoughts on a final West End Atticus. I’m hoping they manage to get Rhys Ifans in for a stint if it’s not extending beyond July. Other votes in my household are going to Mark Strong and Ralph Fiennes but those seem increasingly unlikely!

The thing I’m finding strangest about this production is the sort of Disney sort of not feeling about it. Is this something Disney have done before? Normally it would be a case of Thomas Schumacher giving speeches, very involved. I’m surprised that Disney seem to have sort of ‘handed Newsies’ over for the West End. Just doesn’t have the ‘Disney’ feeling about it.

Comments here about 'pre-recording' How big is the orchestra/band on this production? Is it the Broadway orchestration?

The main spoiler I’m hoping to hear from tonight (in spoiler tags of course) is whether we are treated to the excellent moving scaffolding during ‘Once and For All’ and whether that moment hits it out of the park the way it did in NY.

Anyone seen/seeing Matthew Modine as Atticus yet? Planning to return for another visit but wondering whether to hold off and see if there’s another extension past April with another actor!

Thought it was excellent. A smaller film than I expected but thought that worked well here. True to the stage show. Thought it really hit the mark during Smell of Rebellion and Quiet. 'Bruce' was also fantastic and sounded great at the Dolby Atmos cinema screen I was in. I'd watch again in a while.

I enjoyed this tonight. There were elements surrounding anxiety and inner voice which I really identified with and it had me close to tears a few times and therefore held my attention.
There are some sudden loud noises, especially in the first half of the first act, just to warn any jumpy people like me! The audience is warned on the way in that the play includes 'intense scenes'. It's accurate and nice to be warned however as someone particularly sensitive to too much bleakness, loud noise and intensity I'd say there is a good balance of humour when needed so don't be too worried!

I really wish there was a published play text for this. I understand issues with the Lee estate etc but it's a missed opportunity for education and fans alike!

I can update that the Almeida box office team have been incredibly helpful today offering us several alternate tickets which have been returned across the run today. Excellent customer service and really grateful to be treated so well as we were gutted at the cancellation yesterday. Have now secured some tickets of similar value in a few weeks.

We didn’t get an email and just arrived at the theatre to be told. Pity that we can’t just exchange but great the show is so popular. Hope the cast member is ok!!
