I booked for this yesterday using German ticketmaster, wouldn't take my UK log in so had to create an account which was no bother. Just used the english version in the top left corner and was fairly straight forward until it came to paying, where it seemed the only option avaliable to me in the UK was to pay by credit card.

I was also front row, but avoided all contact. I think I was slightly saved by the steel drum being directly in front. But nearly lost my toes a couple times!

Going to see it 2nd time this afternoon. In front row again so taking lens cloth so I can see 2nd half in case I get mauled again by the blind lady! Will also be interested to see how much has changed as originally saw 2nd show. I was there this afternoon too and LOVED it! Did you receive any attention from the blind lady again?

Saw this yesterday afternoon and you can't fail to leave the theatre on a high afterwards. Having seen the original production it hasn't lost anything and was interesting to see a different take on the set etc. The energy was great, especially from the front row. Hoping it finds its way back from Korea and out on tour!

There are usually offers floating around - right now they're having a Mother's Day offer for 30% but I saw it's only for performances until late June and NOT valid on Saturdays. Unless you're in a hurry to book, I can look out for further offers - there are usually some in summer. If there's a good 2-for-1-offer I may even join you That would be great No rush at all as I assume it won't sell out before then. (Which would be awkward since it's the reason I'm going ha)

How many times do you want to/can you afford to see it? Was planning on just the once on the evening of 16th July, although may be able to do the matinee too.

Well you've all done a good job in reassuring me, so much so I've just booked my flights for a weekend in July!

Thanks for all the advice so far! It's given me a lot to think about.
I was thinking of a flying weekend visit, Saturday to Sunday staying in Bochum.
Is it defo worth going to this effort to see starlight here? And also maybe a silly question but is it in German?

I'm wanting to get adventurous in my theatre travels and looking at possibly going to Bochum to see starlight. Knowing everyone on here is knowledgable in this kind of thing, Has anyone done it from the UK? And can advise the best way to get there, where to fly to, trains, advice etc? Any help welcome!

For the second week in a row il be attending a Friday teatime show. (Love these) this time Rocky Horror in York.
Then this Saturday is people places and things in the evening, and originally had a ticket to the painkiller for the matinee which I booked last year but didn't fancy it so planning to try my luck on the kinky boots mobile lottery unless anyone has any recommendations?

I'm a regular theatre Lone Ranger! It's the only way to see all the shows that I do. And means can book much further in advance without having to plan with friends etc! Legally blonde 3 times and counting! And 2 of those were on my Todd.
Although I would very much enjoy finding a theatre loving female to share with!

Looking forward to my first trip to the St James this afternoon to see what this is all about. Booked more or less as soon as it was announced as the St James is a theatre I wanted to tick off the list. Glad to see its getting mostly positive reviews on here, the only opinion I really need!

Got a £5 ticket for this in Sheffield in the circle. I have a lot of love for their Live for Five scheme. 1 of 6 booked this morning from them.

I'm not familiar with the Royal Court, but could it be a possible venue? Since the teaser came before the live stream of one of their productions?

So in a combination of Bordom, impulse and theatre love I just booked a last minute trip to Sunderland for tonight. Train, Hotel, Theatre ticket! Never seen the bodyguard before so looking forward to it, and it's always good to tick another venue off the list!

The size of theatres this is playing is interesting, for example, Blackpool opera house is huge. 2920 seats according to Wikipedia. However I was supposed to be seeing this in Wakefield this evening at a theatre of 499 seats and it got pulled some weeks ago due to poor sales.
It seems that large theatres half empty are OK for this tour but small half empty theatres are not.
